  2. Looks really good! I'm not a fan of the clip on tile tech but I do really like the shape of the nose. I wonder if its more stable then Inthert's.
  3. It is about 15 meters long in universe and the model is at 1:37 scale (about 50 studs). It is big! I assume it is due to the fact that it is old tech. Funny thing in most of the reference pictures the launchers are domed off XD I will consider a larger opening when I make the Whitecloak (Jedi) version! That one will not be tan (its yellow and white/light grey). Thanks for all the wonderful comments!
  4. Yup it was way cooler in the Black Fleet Crisis books XD. I do feel kind of compelled to make the crazy messy version tho

The canopy "print" is a custom decal (made by me!) I created in Photoshop and applied in Parts Designer for Studio. Sadly I could not fit in a hinge for the canopy without messing with the look of the fighter but I did fit in landing gear on the bottom! I'm pretty happy with this recent build and super happy to be on my new pc which allows me to export a LOT faster! planning on doing more animations for these models in the future! If you wanna see the ones I've build but have not animated yet check my flicker. 7. *Your entry has earned 10 XP* Lego New Republic Battle Group 1:650 by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr The Virulence II is a recently acquired upgraded Nebulon-B Frigate serving under the New Republic Starhawk Command Battle group E3-Blue. Lego Nebulon-B7 Attack Frigate by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr Originally built by Kuat Drive Yards for the Galactic Empire as a Nebulon-B6, this ship was not completed until well after the Battle of Endor and the fall of the Empire. Looking to not lose profit and inspired by the rebels efficient modifications to other Nebulons that fell into their hands, Kuat stripped down and edited the design. They made many of its systems less crew dependent and made the front "chin" area modular. They only put light armor onto the mid section as well as adding extra docking ports like the rebel modified ones (as well as modified the starfighter hanger to be more friendly to New Republic fighters). To cover the significant weakness in that area, almost like an undersized Band-Aid, they added armored braces. Kuat then sold the ship to the New Republic and due to the design changes they adored it. Lego Nebulon-B7 Attack Frigate by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr NRSC battle group E3-Blue is known to often operate near and among the core worlds. The Group consists of the Pride of Fey'lya (Bothan Assault Cruiser), The Virulence II (Nebulon-B7 Attack Frigate), an upgraded CR90 Corellian Corvette, three upgraded DP20 Corellian Gunships and a smattering of starfighter squadrons of various builds and designs. They have been seen flying K-Wings, Y-Wings, X-Wings, A-Wings, Z-95 Headhunters and many other less famous fightercraft. Captain Neem Fey'lya (female Bothan) of the cruiser commands this battle group and their top squadron of pilots is named The Wasps. The Wasps are famous for flying K-Wing Bombers but they often fly other craft as well (it is rare the full squad is flying K-Wings). Their fighters are often painted with black and yellow caution stripes similar to the ones that are required on K-Wings due to them being dangerous to work around for mechanics and people working in hangers. This model is built at a 1:650 scale, as are the others ships in the first picture (frigate is about 300 meters which translates to 57.2 studs in length).
  8. *Your entry has earned 10 XP* Lego New Republic Battle Group 1:2100 by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr The Pride of Fey'lya is the largest ship in the New Republic Starhawk Command Battle group E3-Blue. Fey'lya is a prominent family of the Bothan people. Lego Bothan Assault Cruiser by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr As the Bothans grew tired of constant Imperial aggression in their home system, they begun a military program focused on building ships to defend themselves. Their impressive Assault Cruiser was built to be able to go head to head with Imp Star Destroyers and having access to Mon Cal shield technology through the Alliance to Restore the Republic allowed them to do just that. With the Empire gone most of these ships now serve the New Republics Navy. 9. I love the ski poles and sword as antenna!
  10. Sarlacc Buster! Reminds me of the Hulk Suit. I love this build so much!

Lego K-Wing Bomber Type A by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr This is one of the largest starfighters I have built and it is built to 1:37 scale (minifig scale). You might ask why it is missing the dual cockpits and dual bubble turrets and that is a good question! This is a Type-A version of the ship which is more accurate to the books (Black Fleet Crisis) that it comes from. The Type-B (or uglier version if you will) was created due to a picture from the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels being wildly inaccurate. I photoshoped that picture super fast to make it more accurate to BFC: K-Wing Bomber Type A by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr Here she is with no payload and with her landing gear down. Not sure how cannon the landing foot is but I assumed it would exist. Lego K-Wing Bomber Type A by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr I made a few different payload profiles for it (see the video) and here are some of my favorite of the bits and bobs I made for them including a "SAB-A7 Buzz Droid" of my own concept (based on the Imp probe droid and the Sep Buzz Droid), a cargo/ammo/supply drop crate and a speeder bike drop crate. 12. Thanks it was a little tricky to do it while making sure everything was actually attached together XD Thanks all for the wonderful comments I appreciate them!

Lego Chiss Nssis-Class Clawcraft Type B by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr Lego Chiss Nssis-Class Clawcraft Type B by LukeSkybuilder, on Flickr The ball cockpit design is based on Inthert and Brick Feeder's design but modified on the back end and a tiny bit all around. The wings are only attached by 3 studs so this is a very delicate model mostly made for show (not swooshable sadly :( ). I had planned on making it to 1/37 scale so match my other starfighters (and to be accurate minifigure scale) but it was just a little to long (by about 6 studs as the total is about 40 studs when it should be 34ish). However, I have justified to myself because: 1. it looks good and feels more accurate then the cannon (for Expanded Universe) length, and 2. In one of the guide books (i belive that is where the cannon length number was from) the picture is missing the tail end (which is the 6 studs that fall outside of the cannon length) and in the books it is mentioned that they end up upgrading some of the craft for independent long distance travel and deployment with non-Chiss forces. I figure that the tail was added on the Type B of the fighter (which my ship is made to represent). The K-Wing Bomber (I'm working on that model as well :) ) was similarly treated in the same guidebook and the artwork is a Type B for that one (it is VERY inaccurate and modified from the original description in the books). I figure that the Clawcraft shown in that guide is a Type A which has no tail, is dependent on a capital ship for hyperspace navigation, has no torpedo complement and is the cheaper higher production version. The Type B (my model here) has a build in nav-computer, missile/torpedo tubes (I did not represent them on the model), landing gear (I couldnt find a single picture of what it looks like or where it deploys from so I excluded that as well), and to fit all these extra systems has the "tail". I really like how the render turned out with the glowing effect :)
  14. I love the interior! This is true minifig scale (1/37ish) right? Now you need a little snowspeeder to put under it with a tow line :)

Hello I'm LukeSkybuilder/LukeSkydragon and I recently started back on my crusade to build all the Star Wars Expanded Universe ships and started a YouTube channel on it because I had nobody to share the builds with. I hope to share some on here! My other hobbies include video and image editing, playing Pokemon Go (I am max level in that game lol), and reading the Expanded Universe novels. I am 22 years old and just moved across the country (USA). My favorite Lego set of all time for some weird reason is the 7658 Y-Wing Fighter. I've been collecting and building my whole life but recently have started working digitally with Studio due to cost of parts. Rendering pics and video takes a long time so I'm very behind on exporting XD Have a fantastic day!
