  1. That is a fun looking display, I wish I would have known about this, I would have attended. I only live about an hour away. Is it held every year? Congratulations on the awards.
  2. You need to deep link your photos, the folder is not public.
  3. And the grade you got?
  4. I'd like to try my hand at this. This is a good idea.

The main reason I like this set as much as I do is for the parts it contains, the weapons, the shields, all the orcs, the troll, the awesome green dragon, and the other accessories all add up to be worth it. And the ship itself is a good enough basis to make a decent orc corsair ship.

I love this, its funny, unique, and innovative all at the same time. I like the way the builder made some pieces look connected when their not (the shackles).
  7. MAY!?!?! Wow this is going to be one high quality contest. You will never have to pay for anything on EB, or C-P, or C-T for that matter, if someone tells you otherwise your being conned.

I'm not taking a side here, reason 1: I don't have any Fabuland so I cannot make an informed judgement, 2: This thread has potential for some serious flame wars. But I am going to keep an eye on this to see if it gets controversial in here, and if it doesn't I might have to insert a controversial comment.
  9. This is incredible, I'm really blown away by the size and scope of the prizes, can't wait to see how we go about attaining them.
  10. Maybe so, but to me its almost, "its ok to be addicted you'll be a cute little monster," I'm sure that wasn't their intent but these type of issues are best to not be addressed by children's toys, their best addressed by parents when they feel the time is right.
  11. I like the monsters, you never know when your gonna need a creature like that in a moc or other setup. The lime is something I like seeing as well, I don't have much lime and need to get more. The sets themselves don't appeal to me, if I want drilling vehicles I'll just get the old Rock Raiders, to tell you the truth I was excited to hear of the line, and the blurry pics had promise but now I'm not so sure. The story line is shaky as well, addicted monsters?, c'mon your going to have kids going, "What's addicted mommy?" To me the reasoning here is that the monsters are essentially good things that have gone astray, that may work well for Tv, but not for conflict toys. Who knows my opinion might change when I see them in the store, but if I get them it will only be the small ones and it will be for pieces, gotta save the majority of my money for Castle 09.

I think this is a pretty good attempt, the only gripe I would have is the arm guards are a little too big. But it has the same feel and look about it. Good Job.
  13. These are really good. I'm impressed with the Joker Batman impostor victim (long name), with Crane's nightmare I think if you would've done something without the mask (I thought that Crane made another image over Batman's face.) Point is he had a different facial structure and didn't have the bat ears so what you made kinda threw me off, I could tell what the other two were without the descriptions but had to read to find what that one was.
  14. Add me to the list please.
  15. This is really shaping up to be a fantastic set, I'll keep an eye out for the rest of the review.
  16. Nice Review, interesting mini set. It certainly looks like the V-19.
  17. Yeah I looked closer and now see that, I'd have to pull that fig out just to be sure (can't do it now due to being evacuated) but I'm pretty sure your right about it.
  18. I just got done evacuating, got my Lego stuff all taken care of and I brought my laptop so I can keep in touch with all you.
  19. Can you brasso these hips for fleshie hips?
  20. Be careful, be safe, and leave early if your evacuating. Be sure to put all your Lego bricks in water and fire proof containers (oh and boarding up your house also might be important). Just remember what's important, your family and your little plastic pieces of heaven, everything else is just things.
  21. Johnny 5 replied to Aliencat's post in a topic in Hello! My name is...
Hi Aliencat, I'm a cat person myself but only have three Miniature Daschunds, figure that one out. I saw your terraced town and thought it was fantastic, didn't get to comment though, sorry. Hope to see you around the forum.
  22. Saw this on the frontpage but never opened this thread, then I open it just now and see that the engines are modular! That is FANTASTIC!!! That one detail alone has made this the next set I order (which is not to be confused with the next set I buy, 7739).
  23. I like this, great scenery it makes it more than a chess board.

Great interview, I think this might be the first time I've come across KDog here. I'll try to read his comic if I find the time.
  25. I think thats the gold one. Great collection, very cool to see. You know, sometimes LEGO will test a piece in a strange color, so I'd continue looking for the parts you lack.
