  1. Yeah, for better or for worse depending on who you ask. IMO, the Acolyte isn't being abandoned because everyone hated it, its being abandoned because nobody watched it From what we can tell it is playscale set from Andor S2. There is a possibility they could borrow some speed champions techniques to make better use of a smaller interior, but I wouldn't hold my breath Funny enough, my love of star wars came from the legos and the OG Battlefront II before I had even seen the movies, so for me the designs being cool is more important than the content itself being good (at least in terms of sets). I don't like most of the sequels designs, so I wouldn't be very interested in those sets, except for a UCS First Order Star Destroyer, those things are wizard
  2. My bad, I have updated the list with the most current info I could find. Let me know if anything needs to be fixed!
  3. I was on the fence about a UT-AT, not a huge fan of the in universe design, but the Galactic Marines and Bacara were the "Clone Commander" and "Heavy Trooper" from the OG Battlefront II, so I was excited. Not at that price though! 327th battle pack could be fine at $40 if its one of those vs battle packs like the rebels and imperial one Most excited for a MTT, don't really care if its the same size as the 2014 one as long as the shaping is good, but I'm going to end up modding it anyway I guess this year and next year they are focusing on the more obscure paint jobs for iconic vehicles?
  4. Not just bombers, insert P-61 Black widow, which served the US Air Force as a night fighter during WW2, and later as a long range interceptor. Also it was the direct real life inspiration for the ARC-170! I agree that the Z-95 doesn't really fit in the Clone Wars, although I only remember it being in a few episodes
  5. Your wish is my command! Part count increased by 28, with 14 parts removed, 42 extra parts needed for this mod
  6. Had some free time, so I recreated the ARC-170 in Studio if anyone wants to get a head start on mods. Uploaded the file to Bricksafe The 3l liftarms in white with the technic axle hole in the middle don't seem to be in Studio yet, so I just used regular liftarms. Other than that, the build should be all correct, apart from the occasional outdated mold version.
  7. Not just that, but they would have a really weird looking top stripe like Fives if they did the 327th. The revising of "acceptable print areas on the clone trooper helmet" in 2020 which had NOTHING to do with helmet holes despite popular belief and everything to do with Lego just letting tolerances slip was nothing but a short sighted tragedy by TLG. When was the last time we had a unique rebel pilot head? was it Biggs in the 2018 X-Wing?
  8. I agree in regards to the Gunship, but I'd argue the new ARC-170 is much more fun as a toy than the previous versions. Each one has three major play features, swooshing, shooting, and s-foils, and the new one is (potentially) the best in all three. Significantly sturdier (looking) build, although it doesn't take much to beat 7259. Spring loaded shooters > flick fire missiles > dropping 1x1 cylinders. Pushing a liftarm >>>> 30 seconds of turning a gear Plus keep in mind that 8088's retail price would be $87 in today's money (Bureau of Labor Statistics), 7259 would be $65 Still though, it is very expensive. And I will need to mod it.
  9. ARC-170 pics are out, but did anyone see that Legohio "leak" a couple of days ago? it is eerily similar, almost like a prototype model or something drawn by memory (highly doubt that it was just ai, ai isn't THAT good). Otherwise, model looks fine, cannons need replacing but that'll be an easy mod. Minifigs look great though, easily the best clone pilots we've ever gotten. Dual molded legs would have been cool, but there is a long, loooong list of characters that should get dual molding before these guys
  10. Acclamator pics are out. Looks fine, wish the red stripes could have been brick built rather than stickers but whatever. Build doesn't look too revolutionary, the underside looks a little off. At least the build has a lot of new slope / wedge pieces
  11. I like the rendering techniques you used, looks like a screenshot from the Skywalker Saga video game!
  12. I was willing to give Ahsoka's Interceptor a chance, but something about it just doesn't work for me Pros: Cool minifigs Physical color blocking (only two stickers that aren't on the large flag pieces!) Cons: The price Back of the cockpit just doesn't work for me Wings look too thick, is that FOUR plates of thickness underneath the astromech slot?! No buzz droid The price (again) Yeah, I'm gonna have to skip this one, cautiously optimistic for the ARC-170
  13. Around half the size of Rivendell? I can see that. No reason for it to go above $300. Excited to see what else is in store!
  14. The in universe ARC-170 actually does have slightly anhedral wings so the droop is more accurate than you think! I took a look at my 2010 model and it doesn't bend much over the length of the wing, just at the two technic pin attachment to the engines. The 2005 one on the other hand is just incredibly delicate .
  15. Bring back NXT White!
