  1. I can say exactly the same, i actually think that everyone and TLG are now focusing too much on replicating real models too much and that's becoming boring real quick, so, your MOCs are a breath of fresh air in my opinion, please continue doing what you love and contributing with variety to lego Technic.
  2. Yeah, this right here.
  3. @markaus These are proper comments, explaining their point of view. We still have to hear from the MOC creator, but it's quite obvious this car never intended to be realistic in its shape or proportions, just a small, easy to build, 500 piece budget MOC. I believe there is a place for everyone in Technic: expert creators with high piece count MOCs with several intricate functions and design details; modest creators like davejsp; and then small or occasional builders with their small creations. Yeah, i watched davejsp's video and the steering is for me the highlight of this MOC, very interesting, if we look closely, the inner mechanisms can be seen working and parts of it are shown in the manual instructions preview too.
  4. Eurobricks at its best, no one comments to support the creator, but reply to show distaste. Care to develop on your comment? For me this MOC is much more attractive than many other "realistic" mocs you see here, so i need to understand exactly what you mean.
  5. Totally agree! What's up with people here? This original MOC is awsome! Nice design with realistic pivot steering in such a tiny space, good work mate. Please do continue to share your creations with us!
  6. There was a real build, yes. I didn't consider including the engine because this was built together with a child that still doesn't quite understand engines and its mechanics, it would be too much complicated for him and reduce the fun factor. Nonetheless, it should be possible to include one as mentioned in the comments above, and change some details to try making a true replica out of this MOC.
  7. It is not definitely to get rich :) just to help finance, not 100% depend on it. I understand the importance of videos and one of the reasons i haven't made one is because i don't have all parts in the correct colors, it kinda hurts my eyes to look at the car, it's a wild mix of colors. The curved panel is secured on both ends, i tried to represent it the best i could on studio. It's impressive how fast you could detect a few little and simple mistakes i didn't notice. I don't know how to make the arrows go through the pieces correctly, they just stay always on top of the pieces. Yeah, seems i missed one blue axle/pin, already corrected it on the instructions, i won't change the pictures now. Thanks for your feedback. I should get better at this over time.
  8. I perfectly understand and these are my first steps, let's see how it goes. So far, i only got 1 sale of the main version.
  9. My experience is basically zero, i just started sharing like two weeks ago, i thought it was logical to use as few parts as possible and the most common parts possible to reach a wider amount of people who hgave the necessary pieces, but maybe that's not really the way: i see the hotest MOCs are usually big and detailed (at this point i don't have a big enough collection of sets/parts to build domething like that though). I'm selling to finance my lego collection and get my hands on more sets, that's just about it.
  10. Not very close, really; the 200pcs version should be almost possible except for a few pieces (and colors). Anyway, i suppose people have more than one set? So they can take pieces from various source sets. I'm looking to try making C Models, the thing is, depending on the set, it may be very limiting on the creativity aspect.
