  1. Use more force. Maybe old design is easier to open the new ones, but there is no other way. Here is a tool for small one: Turntable dissasembly tool, use similar concept for the large ones.
  2. I came across the same problem when building large excavator. Ended up opening the turntable, cleaning any plastic powder from inside and used Molykote 33 grease for plastic. Works fantastic, but it's only few months.
  3. As I remember the 2.4GHz is allowed for open use, provided low power of transmitters (10mW).
  4. To fix it you have to separate the turntable parts, clean it (there will be lot's of white powder) and (for best results) grease it. Use plastic friendly grease of course.
  5. You are wrong. The difference is minimal, usually not measurable. The additive that gives colour to the plastic resin is only 2-3 % of the volume.
  6. When I opened my old pump the rubber gasket on the piston was split in half. Ended up buying new "compatible" pump, I didn't want to risk buying another old one.
  7. I think this is the reason. When I go 8055 back then I could play and rebuild it for weeks without getting bored. Now I'm happy to have build 8043 mod (the ultimate one ) and it's great, but not enough time to play, and few other excuses.... Sure TLG could improve the sets, we can see how many proposals there are inside "X set improvements and modifications" topics, but maybe it's intentional? Couldn't agree more. It doesn't have to be 100% authentic, but it should work.
  8. Yes, it is ok. Just seeing those cars in great number every day one can immediately see something is not right. Not by much, but you know... Those are iconic (as is 900OG), but I prefer 9-5 (or 95). It's nice tribute to very little known car! Nice pick.
  9. Nice builds. Let this thread motivate you to finish them! I can comment on Fiat 126p (as they were all around me during my early years) - the front and back are too long, they stick too far past the wheels. But overall the vehicle is recognizable without question. Personally I would be happy to see Citroen ZX (for my uncle) and Saab 9-5 (for me).
  10. Big minus for the wrong rear tire. Also DRS seems not to be working (only hand movement). At lease the shaping is better. I wonder if there will be any working suspension? And how the underside will look.
  11. It seems to me like either there is high resistance somewhere in the mechanism, or the motors are too weak to move it.
  12. That's exactly why I'm asking. I can design pieces myself, but why reinvent the wheel? I also used reamer (drill actually ) for holes, but for the cross axles it's not possible.
  13. Part strength is one thing, but what about dimensions? I tried to print few elements (no tuning, just checked how it will go out) and the holes tolerances were way off - they will either not accept the pin or fall off without any resistance. Any tips in this area?
