Favorite/Inspirational Sci-Fi MOCs
When it comes to building fantastic spacecraft, I find few have higher abilities than Nick Trotta. I love how functional but comical all his designs looks, as well as his great angle work that make his designs instantly recognizable. He also has a very unique way of greebling with system parts that I admire, and all his ships even fit minifigures! Ataraxis by Nick Trotta, on Flickr

[MOC] Various Space Builds
I love the feel of this Spaceship. Great smooth surfaces, an overall shape that stays true to the original sets it's inspired by, and skillfully dispersed greebles that break up the surface without detracting from it smoothness. I also like the inclusion of the "passenger" windows and trapezoidal shape of the ship's rear. I can imagine some scientists packed back there surveying planets, nebula, and other galactic phenomena. Outstanding work!

[MOC] Matterphase Neutrino Skimmer
Absolutely seamless integration with system and Bionicle parts, that foot works superbly as a nose cone!

[MOC] Goldorak - UFO Robo Grendizer
Hey man, great MOCs and great renders! Mech designs like Mazinger's and Grendizer's are hard to capture in Lego, as their roundness and cartoony-ness can look kind of silly if replicated with simple pieces. However, I think that these bots perfectly blend the simplistic curves with the right amount of detail to capture the original designs 1 to 1 while looking attractive and interesting. I especially like how you made the triangular stripes on Grendizer's forearms.

[MOC] Benny's Samurai Mech
I love this mech's style. The curved slopes are very nicely integrated into the body shape, and those feline faces in the shoulder pads look great! I also must ask: are those cyan pieces used for the sword hilt midriff, or very skillfully photographed light bluish grey? Whichever they are, they accent the blue bricks beautifully.

Till All Are One
Hello, everyone! My name is Interstellar SKUNK Works, but you can call me Interstellar, or some derivative of "Skunk" for short. (I explain why I chose this name in my bio) I love action figures, I love robots, I love Lego bricks. I love to build action figures that are robots out of Lego bricks. Over the last two years, I've gained an intense appreciation for the mech-oriented side of the AFOL community, and have come to admire builders such as Lego Duo Moko, Chubby Bots, Marco de Bon, and Celestial Bricks who construct highly articulated figures out of system elements. Though I have studied and taken note of their techniques and stylistic achievements in the past, starting this year, I want to finally begin building my own mechs and action figures in my own style, and I'd love to be accompanied by all of you on Eurobricks along the way. I've participated in parts of the AFOL community in the past, but this is the first time I intend to take the full plunge, ask for feedback, and learn whatever I can from others. Although the designs I build are my own, I believe that going forward and improving my skills are just as dependent on help from others. In return, I hope I can be helpful to other MOC builders participating in discussions and posts as well. Here are some WIP Studio renders of my first few designs: A few of you may have recognized this post's title as a reference to Transformers. This is not only because I am a fan of Transformers, but because this iconic cast of robots is one theme in particular I want to build my skill in. There are some amazing transformer MOCs out there, but overall, I think these bots deserve a better presence in the Lego community. I've seen great builds, yes, but the best seem underappreciated, and many others seem to use very simplistic designs. Although it's ambitious, over time, I'd love to raise the bar for how the heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons receive representation in brick form, and direct attention to some builders who I think deserve more. With an official Lego Optimus Prime now directing more people to this facet of the community, I think it is a very good time to start. I look forward to participating in the EB forums, Interstellar SKUNK Works
