About Me
My name is Interstellar SKUNK Works, but you can call me Interstellar, or some derivative of "Skunk" for short.
Over the past few years I have gained a strong appreciation for the art and practice of Lego Mech building, and have come to really admire Builders like Chubbybots and Moko who build elaborate, and highly articulated characters using system pieces. I want to attempt building some pre-existing characters, and some original designs, using techniques and inspiration I've learned from builders like them, and I also want to introduce some cool techniques I've seen into categories that they haven't been tried in before.
I've spent time in other facets of the Lego fandom in the past, but this is the first time I intend to seriously make a habit of participating in the AFOL community. By joining Euro Bricks, I hope to learn techniques from others, improve my Lego geometry and greebling skills, and gain other helpful tips to strengthen the skill I do have so I can continue to build and improve my work going forward.
My name is taken from that of Lockheed Martin's experimental division, which has manufactured many iconic aircraft such as the SR-71 and F-22. I have chosen this name because this division of the aeronautics company is devoted to pushing boundaries and standards in aviation, and I hope one day to similarly change the way certain aspects of Lego robot designs are approached. I also chose this name as it is thematically fitting on the off-chance I build any Neo-Classic Space MOCs. This is one of my favorite Lego themes and MOC categories, that I've also taken inspiration from in some of my ideas.
