[MOC] LAAT/i Republic Gunship - Minifig scale
Hello everyone, I am pleased to announce that I have completed my custom LAAT Gunship model. Previously, I shared my progress, and I am now excited to present the finished MOC. I am very satisfied with the final result and would greatly appreciate any feedback you may have. Thank you for your time and consideration. Here is a link to the instructions: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-185984/Marius2002/republic-gunship/#details

[MOC] LAAT/i Republic Gunship
Thank you so much for your insight on the matter. Here is a picture with mini figures in the bay to get a better sense of how it scales to minifigs, and also a screenshot from the attack of the clones to compare it to. I think it looks pretty good; if I went any smaller, I think it would look cramped. Your personal minifig-scale ratio is pretty spot-on for the gunship, to be honest. So, thank you so much for sharing. I just looked up the size of the gunship in-universe on Wookieepedia and saw 17.4 meters. Looking more closely, though, it's also listed as 17.69 meters. I guess 17.69 is with the gun barrels, and 17.4 is without them, but I am not sure. The gun barrels should be pointed straight ahead to get the most accurate measurement, as shown in the screenshot below. Thank you so much for the kind words! I will release the AT-RT and Speeder bike as separate MOCs alongside some other side builds (Barc Speeder, Spider Droid, Stap Speeder, and a Droideka), but I want to test them to see if they work as they should before releasing them. I will probably release them at the same time as this gunship. Beginning of summer, at the earliest.

[MOC] LAAT/i Republic Gunship
Thank you so much for the kind words. I spent a lot of time ensuring all the angles were correct, so I am really happy to hear that it looks good and nothing stands out. After a quick Google search, I found out that the minifig scale is around 1:42. The gunship in-universe is 17.4 meters. So, with the help of a LEGO unit converter, the LEGO gunship should be around 52 studs long, but this model is roughly 62 studs long. The minifig-scale number varies a bit online, but regardless of which minifig-scale one uses, the model is still just a tiny bit too big. But I do not think it is an issue at all. However, I know it is important to some people, so it's worth mentioning. Thank you again for your comment, I appreciate it. Thank you so much. When I made the post, I thought the minifig scale was a set-in-stone number, but after doing more research, I found out that it varies quite a bit. So, I won't focus on having my MOCs be minifig-scale going forward, but rather focus on having them be as accurate as possible while being minifig compatible. And yes that is a handle on the top. I have not gotten around to testing the model yet, so I am not sure if it is in a good spot when it comes to the balancing, but it is attached to the skeleton directly, so it should be plenty strong enough. Thank you again for your comment, I appreciate it.

[MOC] LAAT/i Republic Gunship
Hello. I have been working on a new gunship. I have finished V1, and before I go out and buy all the parts to build it, I wanted to come on here and share it to see if anyone has some feedback on the model. The model is a bit bigger than the minifig-scale, but I don't think it looks oversized. I am working on a few different versions of the gunship, the episode 2 gunship and the coruscant guard gunship, which you can see in the pictures below, but also the clone wars gunship, muunilinst 10 gunship, 104th battalion gunship, and the imperial gunship. All versions have opening doors, connection points for bubble turrets and floodlights, storage space for two speeder bikes and one AT-RT, a removable display stand, and a carrying handle. I want to make this model as accurate as possible, so if you know of any minute detail on the gunship that is not represented here, feel free to let me know. !Note! The bubble turret design on the first picture is heavily based on pre-existing designs from other MOC designers. Since I cannot improve upon the designs already made, I decided to adapt them to my model. I am unsure who created the original, as I have seen the same design on several other gunship MOCs in the past, so if anyone knows, please let me know so that I can properly credit them. Thank you for your time! And here is the AT-RT, and speeder bike builds to go along with the gunship

[MOC] Midi-Scale BTL-B Republic Y-Wing
Hey there, I'm super excited to share with you my latest LEGO creation the BTL-B Republic Y-Wing in midi-scale! I got inspired to build this after seeing Flyinspace's awesome minifig scale version. But instead of going minifig scale, I decided to try something different with midi-scale. Building this was an absolute blast! Usually, I just try different designs and stick with what looks best, but with this one, I found myself going back multiple times to tweak and redo sections using different building techniques. Check out the evolution of the design from V1 to V3 in the pics I've included. One of the trickier parts was figuring out which version of the Republic Y-Wing I wanted to recreate. There are so many variations out there, with slight differences in shape, color schemes, and details. But in the end, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. I'd love to hear your thoughts or any suggestions you might have on the design! Thanks for checking it out! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-173299/Marius2002/btl-b-y-wing-starfighter/#details V1 V2

[MOC] Boba/Jango Fett’s Slave I
Thank you so much. I finally finished it and uploaded the instructions on Rebrickable. it does have a interior that can fit one minifig. Boba Fett: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-169221/Marius2002/slave-i/#details Jango Fett: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-169199/Marius2002/slave-i/#details Yes! the Brickvault UCCS Slave 1 was a great inspiration for this MOC, but as you said its not the same. The UCCS Slave one looks to be similar in size to the UCS Slave 1 and as you can see in the images mine is quite a bit smaller. Both UCCS and mine uses same techniques, flex tubes and curved pieces and a lot of panel pieces to get that smooth transition between surfaces. The UCCS Slave 1 is by far the best LEGO Slave 1 model made, so I its a huge compliment to me that you think it looks similar to it. Thank you so much. I hope you don't mind me using your model in the image. (I had to compare mine to the best of the best you know). Yes, the flex tubes are the most annoying piece to work with in studio, but I think it worked out nicely in the end.

[MOC] Boba/Jango Fett’s Slave I
Hello. I have wanted to make this ship for ages. I initially wanted to make it in midi-scale like all the others that I have shared here so far, but i quickly realized that in order to get the right shapes and curves to this ship I needed to go bigger. So I cannot call this a midi-scale build, but its not UCS scale either, so not to sure what to call the scale. I think it is close in size to the playset LEGO made, perhaps a bit bigger. This ship has been a big challenge, all the curves and subtle angles have been really difficult to get right, but I am quite happy with how has turned out. well its not quite finished yet, it is still work in progress. Thank you for your time!

[MOC] Consular-Class cruiser
Hi, its been a while since last time I posted here, but I wanted to share one more MOC before the end of the year. I said a while back that I was working on a republic cruiser. I finally finished it, and I also now know the correct name for it, The consular-class cruiser. I have made two versions of it, the one that appears in the phantom menace, and the one that appears in the clone wars series. Let me know what you think. I am really happy with the end results. Thank you so much for you time! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-166632/Marius2002/consular-class-cruiser/#details

[MOC] LAAT/i Republic Gunship
Hello. I'm back with yet another MOC. This one is still work in progress, but I wanted to share it so that I can get some experts opinions on it. I did the Gunship a little while back, but that was in midi-scale. This time I wanted to try and build one that could fit minifigs. I think the gunship turned out pretty good, a little bit small, its not quite minifig scale. This is the episode 2 gunship variant, but I plan to make the clone wars version too, and maybe some of the other ones, not sure. Thank you so much for your time!

[MOC] Naboo N-1 starfighter & Razor Crest (Midi-Scale)
Thank you so much. The panels next to the cockpit are attached with ball joints. I am not too sure how well this works if one would actually build it, since I have not gotten around to build it for myself yet, so it might need some tweaking. Thank you so much. The instructions are available here https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-157267/Marius2002/n-1-starfighter/#details

[MOC] Naboo N-1 starfighter & Razor Crest (Midi-Scale)
Thank you so much for the kind words. I didn't realise that I had made the N-1 in minifig scale, so yeah Im sure it would look great in like a larger diorama as a background ship. Thank you so much. The window screen on the N-1 is attached with a 1x1 plate modified (4081a). Thank you so much. I have also become a huge fan of this scale. I love the ucs lineup as well, but I have never wanted to have one of those just because of the size of them. They just take up too much space, so the idea of midi-scale display models have always intrigued me. Models that look accurate but also small enough to be displayed on a shelf. the more models i make in this scale the more i fall in love with them. I am now making a midi-scale tie fighter lineup. Just finished the tie interceptor, and just started work on the regular tie fighter.

[MOC] Naboo N-1 starfighter & Razor Crest (Midi-Scale)
Hi everyone, I made these two models a little while back and forgot to share them here. Midi-scale same as the other models (Millenium-Falcon, Venator, T-6 Shuttle...), but they are not in scale to each other. Really happy with the end results, and no they are not minifig compatible, sadly. If you got the time let me know what you think, and if you see any glaring issues with these. Both models are only digital at the moment. If anyone have the pieces laying around and want to give it a shot tell me in the comments and I will provide the instructions (that goes for all of my models). The Razor Crest is 1174pcs and the N1 is 331pcs. Thank you for your time.

[MOC] Venator Star Destroyer
Yes, I took it down off rebrickable. I got some feedback from people that built it that it had a few issues that need fixing. So I have to build it myself first, to figure out what exactly the issue is. I will then put it back up on rebrickable once the issue is fixed. I can't fix the issue straight away, I could manage to fix the issue in a year from now at the earliest. If anyone reading this have the parts laying around and wants to help make this Venator please comment, but only if you got the parts laying around. Thank you

[MOC] T-6 JEDI Shuttle, LAAT/c Republic Dropship and V-wing
Thank you so much! You're right, the V-wing looks quite good next to a minifigure. I did some research and found out that the V-wing model is actually a little bit too big to be minifigure scale. The V-wing in universe is about 8 meters long, that translates to just under 19cm in minifig scale. The model here is about 24cm. Yes I plan to build some of these models IRL, but not all of them. I really want to build the T-6 Shuttle, Dropship, Venator and Millennium Falcon as well as some upcoming models that I have not shown yet. I have already built the Gunship IRL which turned out great. Maybe... Which is a better companion for the LAAT/c, the AT-TE or the AT-OT?
