  1. With the rumours about the Black Pearl coming this summer, I somehow got randomly reminded about the fact this alt build existed: https://youtu.be/qoQ7BOyhgEc?si=dUkz9t5lczEUytF6 The vid has an active Mediafire download link for the PDF of instructions available in the description — just in case some of you would like to take a look at this forgotten piece of LEGO PotC history
  2. And seemingly under the Icons brand, which doesn't sound all that exciting for me On the other hand, ofc, it's rly impossible to make things worse than what was done with 4184, so there's that
  3. The day has come — here's MOC YOUR BRICKS take on combining two copies of the 10320 https://youtu.be/qksa20R7ZhE?si=jJb9vDYqaZVdFZbE
  4. That's the case for like 99% of all TLG sails on the market anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. It's 973pb4151c01 from NINJAGO's Tournament of Elements set if we're talking about the one on the right 👌🏻
  6. Yea, secondary market for em sails & flag is the way, lmao
  7. The rigging technique is quite decent & those sails are gonna FLY off the secondary market shelves, but that's pretty much all EDIT: and the flag, the flag is awesome as well!
  8. That's certainly a creative way to wipe all the Junior Pirates minifigs out of existence and make their prices absolutely skyrocket for collectors I get that it may have been cheaper for you personally to demolish these LEGO 4+ figs than buying a big & cool third-party hat, but this ain't it, if we're being honest 🤷🏻‍♂️ The process itself def has to be a lotta fun tho

Yeah, ofc, but TLG didn't for some reason 🤷🏻‍♂️ When you check the catalogue of sets that were including the 4444 & 2345pb06 pieces, it becomes clearly apparent what exactly they're meant to represent and intended for
  11. F1stzz replied to TomSkippy's post in a topic in LEGO Pirates
That's precisely what it is, castle panels used all over the place are a dead giveaway
  12. This set looks infinitely better than whatever that previous Pirates-themed overdesigned slop was We'll see down the road what's up with the price
  13. What you've done to the crane is exactly how it should be in a set like Eldorado Fortress Let's leave that LEGO City looking like monstrosity to its belongings — we're dealing with 16-18s centuries stuff here, things should look appropriately, and yours absolutely does Can't wait to see the changed Admiral's office
  14. Always wondered why nobody ever thinks of turning that arch between both main buildings into a full-arched bridge while expanding Lagoon Lock-Up & it's just always left untouched? That's the most obvious area to upgrade in this set IMO Nice expansion tho
  15. Stickers all the way
  16. They have Star Wars, Marvel & Harry Potter — they're fine
  17. F1stzz replied to Yperio_Bricks's post in a topic in LEGO Pirates
Are those stickers? Some damn great ones if that's the case, to the point I'd actually prefer those than getting some washed up BS at the asking price point.
  18. F1stzz replied to Yperio_Bricks's post in a topic in LEGO Pirates
See, lads — it's possible to print a perfect white on top of red torso Figs look majestic @julien83, TY for the pics
  19. Has no back printing whatsoever tho
  20. Welp, I'm voting for Captain Jack then PotC franchise kick-started my passion both for the Age of Sailing & the Golden Age of Piracy + brought me into LEGO in the first place as back in the day I was looking for something to coincide perfectly with my new interest In fact, all versions of Captain Sparrow are my all-time favourite LEGO minifigs and I have kinda personal reason for it: my very first Pirates sets were those replicas of LEGO classics by Enlighten & 2009 Pirates wave — and I was obsessed with mashing up torsos/heads/accessories, gluing stuff, all in order to create my own Jack Sparrow, cuz back in 2008-2010 there was no representation of this character in LEGO yet. You can only imagine how delighted I was when I saw the LEGO PotC commercial for the first time in 2011 Still feels like it was yesterday, lol. But I gotta say: if we're talking purely LEGO Pirates as a classic theme without mentioning licensed ones — Captain Roger Redbeard is unbeatable really. I also do think his 2022 faceprint is probably one of the greatest created in the modern era — the swagger of dat cheeky grin is simply unmatched It's also my first & only Redbeard minifig atm, so yeah, I'd not hesitate to place my vote for him — only if I didn't have a long & rich history with PotC
  21. So what's in question here exactly: characters themselves or minifig designs?
  22. It rly does not One of the blockiest & absolute ugliest ship design ever produced by TLG just for the sake of having something called "the Black Pearl" in a catalogue. Such an iconic vessel should've never been a $100 bish-bash-bosh type of set to close out the PotC line in a hurry, especially considering the model they've come up with for their own videogame. If anything it deserves to headline the "most disappointing shіte ever" type of list.
  23. Mate. 3 outta 4 winners were digital entries. To be specific, all of the W spots for the Main Building category were occupied by digital entries & the remaining winning one was a small physical build for the Mini Set Building category. Kinda the exact opposite of what you've stated
  24. If you can't see the obvious correlation here — what else can I say
  25. The amount of people in this thread (and some others over the last few months) claiming that toys have nothing to do with culture truly makes me question the overall level of Western education
