  1. Heyhey, that lifting mechanism for the towing arm is a 10 out of 10! Great MOC!!!
  2. PRO: The underbody is really sleek! Nice!!! The the whole car looks super clean and cohesive. CON: The bionicle wings never work for me. They look too complex compared to the smooth technic panels. But that's really just a minor thing. You utilize them in a super smart way! (When) Do we get a video? After the snow season is over maybe?
  3. awww that sounds hearth warming! When I was a kid I came in touch with this control mechanism with a car that came with an "Überraschungs-Ei" (Surprise-Egg?). And last year the tractor of the set 60344 retriggered my inner child. It uses parts 69963 and 69964 to form this steering. Thank you for your hint, I apologize if i sounded too negative! I am quite happy with this set. And the name is very not important to me. But I can also empathize with Howitzer's thoughts. ...Why doesn't TLG name the set simply "Street-Buggy"? Best wishes :)
  4. Hehe, thanks. :) Oh, how are you able to remember this set? I would have forgotten years ago. Did i mention, that my MOC has a working steering wheel and the role cage can be folded up. Luckily they did this weird tires! I was afraid TLG would recycle the tires from the pullback monster trucks. And what also speaks against offroad capabilities is the supposed tilt steering as it leads to heavy suspension steer when driving offroad.
  5. Damn, i only knew the Telehandler 42133. The mechanism there is a lot more sophisticated.
  6. @Jundis Are you planning to do an instruction? I'm eager to build it. Oh and as you use PU with the longer L-Motors, does that mean the shorter PF-Motors are compatible with your Mud-Queen?
  7. Nice Set. I like it! Good parts and also a shock absorber. Fun Fact, i made a few tilt steering cars from small Technic sets recently. My best is this one, for 42116 reb.li/m/161017 I claim that TLG copied from me! (kidding of course!)
  8. I'm shocked how bare bone it looks. Am i right, that the worm gear drives an 8(?)T gear. So all the weight of that shovel apparatus has to be lifted by a single gear, completely unsupported?
  9. ...and most of them look super creepy. Thanks for the hint on this funny chapter of Legos history. In knew they exist but i thought they where much smaller.
  10. My inner child is very, very sad right now that such great things like a motorized expedition vehicle didn't exist when I was a kid. :o) Very well done, i like it!
  11. I sometimes think/wonder if it would be a good idea to have 1:8 scaled (Technic-)brick-build-minifigs as sets. Like the Marvel/DC ones just with F1/Rally Drivers, f.e.?! And sell these next to 1:8 scaled Formula1 or Rally cars?! Like the Minifigs that come with the Speed Champions. I would expect 1:10 scale to work too - smaller would look too weird! The original Technic Minifigs are more 1:16 scaled - I guess? And yes i loved them as a child and like them even today! We need them back! And these figures would need different skin tones and women versions of course!
  12. Damn! I feel so small now! This machine is incredible well designed and so good looking!
  13. I thought the same.:D It is fantastic for small MOCs!
  14. Someone recently pointed me on this: https://www.brickizimo-toys.com/de/move-your-bricks/4341-bluetooth-855142007369.html I don't expect it to be THE solution. It might just lead to new ideas...
  15. ...or just reb.li/m/164338 @Thirdwigg Sadly, the suspension uses an elastomer rather than a spring. The cute little Gator has turned out quite pretty!
  16. I totally ignored the telehandler. And now clicked on the link by accident and realized it is motorized - AT THAT SCALE! I had this dafuuq feeling in my tummy, you know what i mean! What i wanted to say is: could be useful to add the motorization to the title! Great MOC, i like it a lot.
  17. That's possible as TLG needs some unique selling point for a set. I expect a beefed up version of the 42101 Buggy with pullback. But as @Jockos mentioned pullback sets are normally more expensive.
  18. Yup i now understand what you were thinking about! Would be clever of TLG to put some special and uncommon parts into such gift packages, to motivate customers to visit their stores ;-). And it could be clever to develop mini sets that fit to the larger sets in scale and thematically. Like something that could be lifted with the crane it comes with. Or tuning parts for a car. So customers get some unique benefit. But a 200 pieces set? I can't imagine TLG doing that as a Technic-GWP.
  19. german based company alternate.de (unfortunately not in australia) has zero shipping charges - at least today. Maybe you'll find a similar offer if you go on the lookout. Hehe thank you! Someone at rebrickable wrote that it is realistic enough that it (and i'm quoting) "had to be hidden from the cat"!
  20. Maybe it will outlive us. But at least you survived driving around with it!
  21. TLG will sell 42164 Offroad Rennbuggy, counting 219 pieces, coming 2024-01 and costs 15,99 € I hope/wish it is some kind of replacement for the Monstertrucks and comes with pullback(maybe) and shock absorber(i guess???). What about that?
  22. Interesting for german based Lego fans (maybe D-A-CH - Austria and Switzerland too): At least today (2023-11-12) Alternate (https://www.alternate.de/Spielzeug/LEGO) doesn't charge you on shipment and has overall relatively low prices for Lego sets. There will be more sales in the coming days, called Black November and Lego Deal Days (at 14th, 17th, 21st and 24th of November).
  23. @Captain Sidecar Oh no! didn't know that. Maybe that's the reason why we don't see them very often on the streets!?
  24. What about the 42117 Race Plane? The original designer made a lot of very good MOCs for it. My favorite is the sea turtle (video link with timestamp to the turtle): The sea turtle even inspired me to do an animal with connected combined arms-head-movement for the 42147 Dump Truck
