  2. The best fix has been given to you. Many have reported issues with silicone oil. These are plastic pieces, not steel gun parts.
  3. I have tried and failed using an Xbox controller with the 42146 Crawler Crane. I was unable to get either one of my controllers to pair with the hubs. Someone recently posted a similar program for the crane using the LEGO 88010 controller, which I don't have but will soon be getting. The programs use the 1st up to connect and control the 2nd hub, so the controller is actually only working with the 1st hub. However, I understand NONE of the programming so please don't ask me any questions about how it's done.
  4. Well with all the car models this year and next, "drifting" is kind of on topic isn't it?
  5. Not that LEGO gives two dead flies about what I think, but 2024 and 2025's offerings have left me completely underwhelmed. The few sets I bought this year were not 'new' introductions, and I see nothing on the horizon that will change that in 2025. CaDA - please come to my rescue! <sigh>
  6. Well, I can remember when you could get a McDonald's hamburger for $.15, a full size Hershey bar for $.05 and a gallon of gas for $.12 It's called inflation and it's been around for a long, long time.
  7. Model builders use a product called Metal Foil. It comes in different tints, including chrome, aluminum, black, copper and gold. Depending on what you need to coat, it might be worth looking into. It is self adhesive. https://www.bare-metal.com/bare-metal-foil.html
  8. Most excellent!!! I bet that took more than an hour to build!

Sorry, I didn't know you had to have the tender in order to put an engine in a shed for repairs...

Would the engine fit w/o the tender?

They are 910033-1 Old Train Engine Shed and I'm undecided on whether I'll mod or not.

I bought two of these but have yet to start one. I'm looking for suggestions of an engine to put inside when done. I'm from the Technics side of the tracks, so to speak, and have no knowledge of the various LEGO trains. Would prefer something in steam but am open to suggestions!
  14. I got an email from CaDA saying they are having a 20% off sale on selected items. Haven't gone to the site yet to see what they are offering though.
  15. Received the two train shed sets while I was still on vacation in Alaska. Haven't even had a chance to unpack them yet and both are still in their shipping boxes. Does anyone have a recommendation on what would be a suitable locomotive to use with this set?
  16. Interesting build! Reminds me of the old carnival "Tilt and Whirl" aka "Tilt and Puke".
  17. Just says not released yet, doesn't say why.
  18. What the heck ever happened to the JCB 220X LC?????????????????
  19. A bit pricey but damn cool!
  20. I can hear Cyndi Lauper singing in the background: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!
  21. While you have it apart, there is a modification for slowing the crane's swivel to a more realistic speed. Forgive me for not linking, but it's posted here somewhere.
