Barnes and noble here in the U.S has essentially put all of the January sets as online exclusives. I’ve been noticing a trend as well, when the first wave came out, Walmart had all the sets in store, while target didn’t have the spacebus or shark ship. Wave two, target had only the small Mateo and izzie sets, as well as the space car. A nicer Walmart about 10 minutes away from where I live had Zian, but put it on clearance in march/April of last year. Wave three, and Walmart didn’t carry the izzie dream animals or nightmare creatures (I did see a Walmart on vacation carrying the nightmare creatures though) and didn’t have the Z-blob knight mech either. Target had the dream animals/nightmare creatures, but didn’t have the midnight raven or knight mech. Wave four, Walmart has the 1 in 20 bunchu, and the gaming jet, meanwhile target has 1 in 20 Z-blob, bunchurro, an Z-blob car, neither have the tiger mech. -
Moon girl’s chase ($44.99) based off marvel’s Moon girl and devil dinosaur animated series. Minifigures included are: Moon Girl, Casey Calderon, and the beyonder. Build is a brick built version of Devil dinosaur, similar in size to 76151, and a small street corner. Iron man 3 final battle (79.99) minifigures included are: tony stark, Mk 8, Mk 16, Mk 30, pepper Potts, Aldrich Killian, extremis soldier (x2). Build is of the Norco oil rig, about 2x the size of 9486. Several explosion features are present, with spots to pose the iron man suits flying around. Also included is a small helicopter, similar to 60411, and a stand to put it.

Oh my gosh, thanks so much! I think I have a few pictures of the plaza next to gardens and markets, but I am currently updating the hotel. Might post those pictures when the update is done but I need to order some pieces off of bricklink, mainly the nougat leaves from the deku tree and some dark red roof pieces

I’d be fine with it either way, one the one hand, TTC was a very fun build, and the crossroads in the show would definitely be more suitable in that style. On the other hand, I’d love a new ninjago city module. If it’s a corner modular that could be useful for rounding off my ninjago city layout, where the gardens currently sits at the end, connected to a custom modular building (shameless plug if you want to see it:

The dresses aren't great, I was hoping for more buildable minidolls like the wicked and wendsday sets.

Sets revealed. arc dragon I’m mixed on, past multi-headed dragons have been done really well, however this one doesn’t look as great as the others. thunderfang looks AWESOME, that lock mechanism is genius! I do feel a bit bad about getting the Zane’s ultra combiner mech today, given that all the exclusive figs are in these two sets. also, shame that the side builds in both sets can’t connect to the storm village, would be so easy to do!

I’m not a big fan of this design for Logan, but Zoey looks great and I love that Astrid is now part of the gang! Speaking of, I’m working on building a moc of a dragon for Astrid and Logan to ride together

So, as 2025 draws closer, I want to take a look at my first in-hand impressions of the new years sets. Given that I’m not as active on eurobricks anymore (I’m considering possibly leaving the site) I’ll make the most of this (sorry that got a bit personal) so I was at Walmart, and saw that they had set 42645 out already. Given that it was cheap, and the only 2025 set they had, I purchased it. (I’m currently on vacation, so sorry for location) this set is pretty good, and is great value! If I had one complaint, I would say that the “eating” function isn’t that great, but otherwise I think this set is nice for $17! The new “squishmallow” mold is adorable, and I would recommend.

wow, very few buildings this year, guys, if you want good buildings for Lego city, just buy Lego friends sets!

Just when we thought the “Lego city: no limits” saga was over, this dropped! Seems to imply that mech max, Wanda about, and bytz are no longer major characters? Instead making the way for Masonry expert Ted, spooky girl Drea, astronaut Jenny, and police woman Lina. And of course they all don’t have minifigs. edit: also, duke detain and daisy kaboom do appear in the video. Max, Wanda and bytz do still appear.

Hello, this is my entry into the eurobricks alt build contest with an alternate build of set 76907 Lotus Evija. This moc was mainly inspired by Star Wars landspeeders, such as the Han Solo’s landspeeder, among other examples. I had gotten the set for the alt build contest, and was experimenting with ways I could come up with something that was not a traditional car. After putting one of the mudguards sideways inspiration struck! The landspeeder can sit two minifigs and is built around the basic car frame. I wanted to include clever building techniques wherever possible, I’m really happy with how the front came out. the back, however was when I began running out of parts. I tried to make it as clean as possible and I think I did okay. I don’t expect to win this contest by any means, but I am hoping you like what you see!

Hey, three questions. #1 concerning sticker placement. Do stickers have to be on the exact same way as the original model, or can I place them wherever, given that they came from that set (context is that I got a set for the contest specifically, and placed the stickers in a different way) #2 what topic would I put an alt build for a speed champions car? Would it be Lego town? #3 do I have to be good at photography or can I just take a picture of my alt build sitting on a shelf?

Relax everybody, I’m here. I’m still gathering thoughts on the other sets, but images of the ice cream truck and airport are up. first off, the ice cream truck includes a minidoll of Elsa D (if you’ve seen the next chapter S2 Ep 10 you’ll recognize her) but overall is pretty boring. But let me tell you, THEY COOKED with the airport and airplane, it’s an actual airport, the plane is about the size of 41100 (dang that set brings back memories) and looks amazing!

Question, does the alt build have to be the same license as the original? Like could I build something Minecraft out of a marvel set?

Well, the thread has finally done it, I alone had the information of the figures that are going to be included in the ucs Arkham Asylum, including a remake of Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, but the once prosperous DC thread has fallen into disarray. Henceforth, nobody is worthy of my information, and I shall be off to where I am needed most, the Lego friends fourm, to one day bring back Lego DC super hero girls!
