  1. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/4b530b4b-b0b7-4112-bd77-3ed57046b3b2 Check out my brothers build based on Phineas and Ferb!
  2. I would have to say that my absolute favorite LEGO Youtube channel is definitely Generic Stud. This stud is a true fan of the Ninjago theme and is not afraid to publicly exhibit his love of all things Ninjago. Has been a fan since he was a kid and is definitely a good representation of my generation of LEGO fans. Hats off to this legend.
  3. For a really good review on this set, check out Jay's Brick Blog, he is a true Tolkien fan and gives a really in-depth review of the set.
  4. If LEGO were to do the Lizard for the NWH sets, I could potentially see something using the Velociraptor legs from JW. However, the problem with this is that there is no torso that could be used to connect the legs to...
  5. So, I have a question.... I have been collecting all the sets for Hogwarts since 2018, including the promotions (grand staircase/gryffindor dorms). I am not really a fan of the books that much but I love all the castle pieces. Over the years, I have had to reassemble the layout to accommodate each new set. I am looking forward to the latest Room of Requirement, except I have no idea where to put it in my current layout. Any ideas on how to create the perfect layout for the entire castle??? (including earlier versions before it was modular)
  6. Hey, I don't think he should get banned, just a talking to by some moderators about posting false claims. Its as simple as that, he has actually contributed meaningful content in the past, so I don't think we should be so quick to ban.
  7. Ok, while true, a mixture of Chinese and Japanese culture, I do not consider Ninjago anime. When I was a kid and my favorite show was Ninjago, I hated anime. Ninjago used to be nothing like anime and so I loved it.
  8. This guy might be trippin'. He has made many claims on other forums as to what upcoming sets are going to be. He may be right but he may also be making some false claims, so until I hear how he got to see this set, I'm not buying it.
  9. Ninjago and Monkie Kid are more based on Chinese culture, anime is Japanese. Simply put, they have a huge emphasis on huge, flashy vehicles and mechs; which anime clearly does not have.... I would be quite ashamed of LEGO if they were to do a whole Pokemon theme, but that is just my opinion. I would rather the money and designers were focused on other stuff such as a Lord of the Rings reboot.
  10. lol, he's from Canada dude, I'm from California. I'm just a supporter of his work.
  11. Well I feel that Ashnflash should get the credit, as the other guys is nowhere near the quality of his. LEGO would completely redesign the other guys because it is not accurate. The other guys project had been there for a while but would never have reached 10K without riding on the momentum that Ashnflash built up.
  12. It would be interesting to see LEGO do a Shawarma set similar to the Bro Thor's New Asgard. It would be a good way to include all of the Avengers for relatively cheap and it would probably fly off the shelves. I've been thinking about what else TLG could do for modulars besides the obvious Avengers/Stark Tower and Oscorp Tower, which I would love to see just in my own personal opinion. It would probably have to deviate from NYC and be Asgard instead, but I feel there isn't much more iconic than the Daily Bugle, Sanctum Sanctorum, and Avengers Tower. I personally want a ton more tall skyscrapers to build a cool skyline in my city, but I accept that is unrealistic. Its also possible they won't release any more, but I don't see that as likely due to the success of the Bugle and the Sanctum. I guess they could do fan service and give us Midtown High, but that is still so Spider Man centric....
  13. So with there now being two entries of Shrek's Swamp qualifying for the review stage, whats going to happen with it? I prefer Ashnflash's model a ton as I don't see a ton of semblance to the actual Shrek's hut in the other entry. Will LEGO succumb to fan demand for the set and pick one, or do they already have something planned to coincide with the release of Shrek 5?
  14. From a SoCal bias, I would have to say that I would prefer the Disneyland Castle to anything else due to nostalgia purposes. It may not be as large as the original set, but I would definitely see where LEGO is coming from doing the Disneyland one. Especially since it is a celebration of Disney's 100th Anniversary, so it would make sense to do the original castle Walt and all his team of Imagineers worked on. I would argue Walt cared more about the parks than the movies. If you watch the Imagineering Story on Disney+, it gives a really cool insight into just how much it mattered to Walt. The opening of Disneyland and ensuing success is what kept the struggling Disney company at the time afloat. The countless models of parks he put together, which were an outlet of his model train collecting days. He was essentially dreaming up a better world in creating Disneyland. He wanted a place where people could just escape from life.
  15. I feel that this would not be the smartest decision on TLG's part to do a castle straight from one of the princess movies. The Disneyland Castle is one of the most iconic. So, feel that none of these castles are as iconic or would sell well as the Disneyland one. I am a bit bummed I missed out on getting the Disney Castle from last year though, so I'm holding out hope this one will be good. What would you guys say is more iconic, the one from Disney World or Disneyland.
