  1. Haha sorry should have put a /s or something. Was making fun of the fact that the hobbit movies were split from 2 into 3)))
  2. Peter Jackson announced hunt for Gollum is going to be 3 movies. Each one is going to have three parts and extended editions of each one. So we're looking at 9 films at 3 and half hours each. Should be plenty of sets)))
  3. Time flies! Can't believe Lord of the Rings has been "back" for two years now! Hoping for many more)))
  4. One piece pieces just leaked on reddit. One is a very useful hair/bandana combo. Was trying to think of a crewmember that it could fit on the BP but came up short. Maybe one of Jones's crew members? Or a random pirate? What are we all thinking.
  5. For some reason I thought it was grey at first and got confused, thank you! My Nazgul custom wears that cape, might have to offer it to Sauron instead)))
  6. Looks great, people forget at the end of the day this is still a toy! We should be able to customize it to our liking as much as we want! Where is that specific cape from?
  7. When did they start snapping? I mean they weren’t brittle back in the day
  8. No, no a titanic scale and price is unreasonable haha. I would expect them to put it at $350 then if they make one the same size as most Mocs. I just hope the figures are well made because the 2011 ones are fantastic but I want to see what 15 years of improvement brings)))
  9. Only bricks that broke were pieces to the doors on the mines of Moria. Two dark brown bricks cracked a tiny bit in the goblin king set and a few pieces crackled but no visual cracks. Very happy about that! Will probably call Lego about replacements later down the line. Was genuinely praying while putting the figures together. Nori’s torso was making suspicious sounds while being connected to the legs but no cracks!! Really want to complete the rest of the dwarves but that would mean no shire and some other sets later this year. Still have to decide! I’m hoping that is the case! Hopefully Lego sees just how much we love LOTR sets And about the price, I have recently switched to only buying sealed sets (had gotten a few filthy used sets in a row and got frustrated) but both mines of Moria and goblin king set hold a very special place in my heart so it was well worth it. I felt like a little kid when building them. It was incredible. Also got pretty good deals on both so overall a great holiday haul!
  10. I feel like there isn't enough hype surrounding this rumour haha. First POTC set in 8 years and a remake of a set that costs over $1000+ sealed. I wanted to ask everyone, what would you prefer: A $200 Barracuda Bay esque Black Pearl with the main cast with minimal details (no dual molding or something) of Jack, Gibbs, Will, Barbossa, Elizabeth, Cotton, Pintel, Ragetti, and let's say Cotton and Marty for good measure while also having play features such as cannons, some sort of trap (really guessing here), and a fairly accurate black pearl look but not spot on. Maybe the lanterns aren't as intricate, or not as many statues on the side of the ship etc OR Go all out on a 350-400 Spot on model of the Pearl with the full cast mentioned above decked out as well as a few members of the Flying Dutchman, british guards etc. The Pearl would be very intricate and have incredible detail such as Rivendell for example, where it is an art piece. For me personally I wouldn't mind either. I have the gorgeous Black pearl moc created by the talented Marooned Marin with the entire cast of characters from 2011. A playscale one would be cheaper on the wallet and an intricate one would mean I have two gorgeous Black pearls in my house (not a complaint considering the 2011 one is ones of the most underwhelming sets of all time). HOWEVER if we do get a flying dutchman in 2026 (wishful thinking if the Black pearl sells, Rivendell/Barad dur type of deal) I would prefer a intricate and massive flying dutchman. All the cannons, all the crew (I dont care if they have unprinted legs lol), all the detail and presence it has in the films. If we get more sets later down the line an and we get Brickheadz to test the waters I wouldn't mind that one bit, the LOTR ones are quite cute (as long as they don't replace playscale sets.) I don't see much hope for playscale sets in regards to POTC but it would be nice. One can hope. Let's just wait for more pearl details, star trek already got something))) Just wishful thinking but this is what a 15 year pirate drought (a few icons sets here and there isn't enough as wonderful as they are and 2015 line was a joke) of pirates sets does to a man)))
  11. Recently found out about this alt build and I find it so very neat. Marcos Bessa is probably one of my favorite designers ever. Really wish Lego had done more for POTC. Reading the thread from when the theme first came out it's quite bittersweet seeing people's enjoyment of the theme and excitement for future sets but now knowing none would come.
  12. Built the Goblin King and Mine of Moria sets and they were awesome! Gosh I really hope we get more dwarves from the Hobbit one day. They are the best part of the Hobbit trilogy. I understand licenses, sales not as good, Hobbit not as good of an IP, blah, blah, blah. I want more dwarves end of discussion. And a Smaug. That would be splendid.
  13. I'm quite excited about more Brickheadz to be honest! Not in place of system scale sets, but they are quite cute! I love my little collection. Would love a boromir/lurtz or a fun sized pack of boromir and the rest of the hobbits from the fellowship. Wouldn't mind an aragorn and a nazgul pack too! They look great standing all together. Worried about this as well! I'm just imagining the blacksmith shop level of detail but in a stretched out green format. As long as we get all twelve dwarves)))) (wishful thinking). In all reality my expectations are low figure wise. Old bilbo, gandalf, the four hobbits, maybe a few random hobbits which could easily be built from spare pieces, gandalf's cart, a little stand/bench, and bag end. I'll still buy it but still have slight hope for a hobbit version (unlikely).
  14. My friend we are both on the same page!! I’m very excited what the future will bring for POTC Lego sets. If they pull these sets off, it will be a dream come true!
