Ya probably not. Anakin’s from 2020 was 248 parts and idk how they could add 50 pieces to the main build so maybe a small side build? Lamp 2.0?

Maybe a 2 pack with a small vulture droid like the size of the 1999 one? Or it’s just super overpriced

I don't know what happened but the quality of some parts/prints has gone down. Missing those 1-3 year lifespan original themes like agents, power miners, and Pharoh's quest. But hey at least it seems they are somewhat listening to fans more by partially restoring castle, space, and pirates and some of the new figures are incredible.

I believe there may be a second poly bag releasing in January too? We know that one of them is an AAT but I haven’t seen anything in the second. I may be confused

The old $10 sets from almost every theme were the best. The $20 duel sets, while still a bit more expensive than I would like, were almost a perfect set line to fill that gap. Too bad they got canned after only 3 sets, all 3 were pretty good

I would say the only reason they don't look similar is because of how far headprints have evolved. Even if the heads are taken as not similar, the character at least still greatly resembles the original with the same uniform and hat, which is the point that I was trying to make. They just excluded Redbeard for some reason.

Sure you could say it's not Broadside, but the new one had almost identical prints to the old one, it's just improved quality. Removing Redbeard from the set makes it less desirable, even if only slightly less so, as well as changes the lineup of figure from the original in a negative way. I think the soldiers are all great and I have absolutely no problem with the inclusion of female soldiers and officers, I don't care about gender as long as the product quality is the best it can be.

I'm not 100% sure, but every other figure is just an upgraded version of a figure from the previous set, and the female pirate is the only "new" character. I think it degrades the set just a bit loosing out on such an iconic figure, still one of my all-time favorite sets tho The point of the set was to recreate the old set, its nice to be able to get the two main factions leaders in one set. Plus you can break Redbeard out of jail which makes a ton of sense

I am usually not a fan of race/gender swapping in media and toys. In the case of Lego, I don't like how they swapped out Redbeard in Eldorado, especially because the figure is not in any retail sets right now and he is a pretty iconic character. In the case of almost every other set where they have swapped the head for random non-named army-massable troops, I really don't care too much what the head is. It's Lego you can swap the head pretty easily.

Voted Eldorado because to me the imperials are a way more interesting faction than the Pirates. Wasn't around when sets had black docks, but I don't mind either way

Hats are back as of around an hour ago but torsos are gone. I haven't seen hats and torsos available at the same time, just waiting for my time when the stars align and all 4 of the essential soldier parts are in stock at the same time. (Shako, Epaulets, Torso, and Knapsack)
