I have to agree that here in the UK our Black Friday offers from Lego.com are never as good as over in the U.S - Take for example Monkie Kid - we didn't get the insiders voucher code last week for Dragon of the East Palace and I doubt we will get the City of Lanterns on sale this weekend either (probably also wont get the lunar new year and brickheadz) It will be interesting to see what regions get what sets on sale on Friday and if the rumours are to be believed that Lion Knights Castle is North America only Just simply by watching Lego youtubers videos regarding sales it's obvious the US gets a lot more discounted sets than the U.K

Could limit it to the Knights Castle, Eldorado Fortress or Galaxy Explorer - vintage sets We've seen GWP limited to Modulars so this could be limited to the old school stuff Stock of these three isn't selling so well at the moment according to my local Lego stores - the sales have halted so perhaps it's to give these a boost Fingers crossed it on all Lego however

I'm still on the fence about Himeji - I was really looking forward to it as Asian themes are my favourite. However I've seen it on display at a couple of Lego stores and I can't say I'm that impressed - It's very small compared to some other builds for the price and just looks disappointing all round I'm sure that it'll be on sale before long as it's so niche and I'll pick it up then but ... I so wanted to love it.

I don't think we've got it over here in the UK I've been looking too - even Legoland who stock most current polybags don't have it Monkie Kid is really given low priority over here it's not fair - such a great theme

Has anyone any idea when the reviews will be out for Gringotts - you know the one's by the LAN lot? I know they can be biased but it's a fair amount of money is this build and I wouldn't mind seeing what they think of it and a bit more of a closer look at how it all holds together before I jump in on Friday and purchase I would have thought Lego would have allowed the reviews to be out by now or does it usually happen closer to the release? I mean we've not even got confirmation that the gwp is available from 1st September yet

Has anyone bought the Community centre yet? I'm thinking I should wait for it to go on sale. It's nice but at the side of the downtown flower set it looks a bit expensive. The building is really cool but interior is very basic /childish and kind of lets it down especially comparing it to the gardens.

I purchased the Downtown city set a few days ago so it'll be interesting to see if it's worth the £180. I know I should've waited as it'll be a lot cheaper very soon but I couldn't resist. It's very Asian in it's styling so will look quite good next to all the NInjago city sets. The skywalk reminds me of Bangkok which I've just returned home from so I suppose that had something to do with me deciding to get NInjago City Markets, Monkie Kid Palace and City Downtown all in the first week of release with no discounts. I'll regret this when I need to go to the supermarket - or I'll not eat and buy the new Ninjago Temple tomorrow

Took delivery of the Palace yesterday. I couldn't wait for the double vip points as I know stock gets patchy and deliveries slow around this time. I got the Ninjago city markets as well from the Lego shop near me on release day so I'm trying to decide which other Monkie Kid set to give a miss to and I'm thinking the Airship isn't great and the Lion looks a bit weird. I do like Mei's dragon though - the figures are a bit bland but the dragon is super nice. I'm also waiting on some Monkie Kid parts I got from pab standard - they've finally shipped after 4 weeks but are taking their time to arrive in the post (a week now - not that I'm counting)

Amazon uk now has Rivendell in stock for £429.99 - same price I know but some people can get money off buying it this way

You've hit the nail on the head there. Not everyone will have all the other three sets so you have to look at it as an individual model as well and as individual model it does lack something - it's the greyness of the baseplate space - easily filled with plant parts etc but for the price that should already be there. Wasting parts on flushing toilets and cable cart lifts I suppose. I'm suprised there isn't a slide like the Friends sets

Ok now the 360 degree view of the Markets is up on Lego.com I'm worried. I thought it might have something exciting at the back but it's just plain. Where are all those pieces? Is it in the mechanics? the cable car and the toilet system? It's not in the architecture or agricultural aspects of it which is a shame. I hate to say it but yes I am disappointed - I don't think I'm going to be the only one who is The minifigures throughout the wave are great though. Lego have knocked it out of the park with several other sets releasing in June Monkie Kid Palace, Friends Community Centre and Lego City Downtown - I think for this reason the markets is a bit of a letdown.

I felt a bit underwhelmed when I first saw the pictures but now after looking at it for an hour or so I think it's lovely. However it does feel a bit bare bones in parts - especially in the centre and at the base. I can't seem to find any pictures of the back - am I missing them? The video put me off a bit as well as it's far too childish. I don't care about the sewer system give me Sora's cat ears instead. I think there was too much hype and now it all feels a bit flat. I'm sure in a day or so though when more videos come out we will see it as a great set. I was going to buy it day one but I'm not so sure now - feel like waiting for a good gwp but hopefully a good gwp arrives June 1st
