Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
That can't be correct. 2007 was the year I started dating my wife, while in university @22 years old. By that math, I would be 38, 39, which is no way possible! Something must be wrong in the mathematics world! ------------ The Botanical Garden is gorgeous, but way too expensive, as most of the pieces will for sure be 1x1 ou something like that. At 275€ would be a sweetpoint. It will go to my city, but when a proper discount is available.

Favorite Modular Building?
10255 Assembly Square is my favorite. It was my first and it was also what brought me from the abyss of dark ages where I was since 1999 (or something like that). As an civil structural engineer who earns a living drawing on a computer and simulating stuff digitaly, I was looking for a mental challengue with physicality, that I could mess around with my fingers. When my wife gave me the Assembly Square as an idea to solve this quest of mine, it was like opening doors to a new world. Thats why I married her, anyway :P

Absolutely amazing! Those pillars and the curved windows are an eye-catcher! I wish Lego had a glass for that!

I have very mixed feelings. I like the balloon, but the rest is very basic. I miss the Gingerbread house time...

[MOC] My 2024 Winter Village
Hello everybody, This year I gave myself a challengue: using the Assembly Square on a Winter Village. To be able to do that, I greatly increased the size of my winter village from 4 baseplates to 15, and decided to plan it as an area like a plaza where people hang out and things happen. I should say that using the Assembly Square was not easy, I had already modded it quite a bit but wanted to have still recognizable and that it would have an organic feeling and not as an outsider. And, on top of that, I wanted to place a circuit for the Tram to roll-on. Well, that being said, here are the pictures: Overall plan: The lake: The nativity area: (will get better photo) Modded Assembly Square: The tram (motorized): Small details: Some stats: 15 baseplates, +- 15k pieces 131 minifigs Would love to hear some feedback! Thank you and enjoy!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
My two cents, with the following context: I am a very open-minded person, from Portugal, which is fairly open and relaxed in what is known worldwide as "the woke things". Same-sex mariage and abortion are allowed by law and we are currently discussing how same-sex adoption should be allowed. Not if, but how. I strongly believe that sexuality should not be the thing that defines you as a person. It plays a part, but it is not THE thing. That being said: 1) I understand that LEGO stays away from those lines as we stay away from fire. After all, they are a highly visible company which makes "children" toys for profit. 2) Do we really need this to be an issue in every single item that is placed on the market? The marvel of LEGO is that we can always add those features to our builds, however we want them. I sure did...

Either it is awesome, or it sucks hard. My heart wishes for the first, but I am very afraid of the latter...

I kind like it, to be honest. It should fit nicely with my WV. I am really, really, really curious with and afraid of the main set. I can feel it flopping in the air tonight!
