For my coruscant entry, I wanted to recreate the feeling of the multi-layered city humming with life, so I went with a really small scale. The bottom of the towers is a power facility. Above that are the first floors of the towers. Naturally, these low floors are populated by the scum of the city, thieves, drug dealers, illegals and generally the poorest of the poorest. Bars, night clubs and theatres are located on the middle floors. You can see people standing in front of a famous bar, or customers waiting patiently in a queue to visit some adult entertainment. A famous musician appears on stage in the theatre, so there is a queue of wealthy guests here, as well. The top levels of one tower is inhabited by a guild's palace. Regular people are not allowed on those levels any more. On top of the other tower is a hangar for the rich peoples privately owned space craft. The air above the city is filled with traffic.

Some young Jedis get cornered by a bunch of remote controlled robots, which are steered by a crazy engineer.

'there is always a bigger fish...' This is one of my favorite scenes from the Phantom Menace: The chase for the Jedi's bongo by an opee sea killer, which in turn gets eaten by an sando aqua monster.

Some rich kids got hold of a bunch of retired X-Wings and modified them for space races. This one had almost the entire bodywork and most of the military parts removed, to be as light and agile as possible...

Awesome, I was looking forward for this contest to start. I think, it's a nice selection of challenges! Two small questions regarding the ship category: is there a size minimum/maximum like only one pilot or no more than five passengers? And regarding the colour scheme, do I have to search for colourful ships within the star wars universe or is a new colour for an existing ship possible too. Hello everybody, This is my interpretation of a sailing vessel in the space age: The Rusty Sailor She is a smuggler ship, which is in service of the owners' family for ages and has seen lots of repairs and modifications. The vessel is equipped with solar sails to travel long distances while steering clear of official refuelling points. Of course, she needs to be able to make planetfall to avoid curious eyes at the orbital space ports. To achieve this, the solar sails can be retracted during landing. If cornered, the Rusty Sailor is able to defend herself, as she possesses four heavily armed turrets. As I am a technic guy, my main focus was to create many working functions for this vessel: - Both sails can be lifted or retracted simultaneously - Both sails can be rotated simultaneously - Landing gear and front ramp operate simultaneously - Left and right side turret are synchronised All functions are centrally controlled by wheels at the side of the ship The display stand is connected with a ball joint to the ship, so it balances rather freely on it. Thank you for organizing this contest, it was a really fun theme (although I had trouble to finish my entry in time - I need to work on my time management)
