  1. Thank you, I share your point of view. For me, it's normal these days to work on a computer. I rarely build my own models once they're finished, just prototypes, complete but colourful! But you've hit on a big point: making technic on software is more than a challenge. And I hardly own any physical Lego technic bricks. I only tinker with elements I know from certain sets/mocs, but nothing more. But how I'd love to be able to incorporate technic all the time! Don't despair about your problem. I wouldn't know how to solve it, but sometimes I've personally contacted people who've given me a lot of help, especially with technic (contacted mainly on instagram).
  2. Thank you very much! I understood that this car was very important to the Polish, and it was from there that I was asked to make the model! I agree with you that certain proportions don't work. This is one of the problems I often encounter when modelling these vehicles, even with a plan! But on this view the fiat comes out quite well in terms of dimensions. I'm more inclined to say that I've overworked the front end and made it a bit wider at the indicators. But I'd rather wait before remodelling this model (the instructions are already done and I spent half my year on it!). Otherwise, you've got two excellent recommendations! I was already thinking of doing a ZX ‘volcane’ and also an older model of a Saab (93,95,..)! Thanks! I'm glad you like the Sovam, it's such an obscure car (only 160 examples!). For the fiat your solution doesn't work completely (there's an angle that forces me to use a part that gives me an extra pivot). But I think there are several possible solutions! But I sincerely hope that TLG will produce this part in red by 2025!
  3. Until now, I've never taken advantage of this forum to share the real part of this passion that brings us together. I think that posting images of my upcoming creations would help me move forward with projects that have been in the works for a few years now... The cause isn't even an unsolvable problem, but rather my patience and attention, which goes off to concentrate on another model again and again. Finished models : Fiat 126p : (Images from @Lego_youngtimers on insta) This model comes from a commision. I'm not going to dwell too much on the presentation of the model (maybe another topic here). Here are the functions: - Detailed exterior and interior: indicators, petrol cap, detailed and tilting front seats, steering wheel with comodos and neiman, dashboard, sun visors... - All the openings are functional: Doors, front boot with spare wheel and engine bonnet. - Functional 2-cylinder engine, with cooling simulation - Steering (not connected to the steering wheel) - The model is solid and easy to handle, with the roof connected to the structure at 6 points. The assembly instructions have been done, but unfortunately RB did not accept the model because part 26047 does not exist in red (and changing the part did not work because the photos no longer match...). At this point I'd rather have TLG make this part than have to redo the model in white! Ford Taunus 12m P1 I think this car is pretty. And that's the only reason why I created this model that I've never seen in real life. And finishing this model was probably a miracle. But I've never assembled it, or even posted it on RB. I've almost finished the instructions! But I don't know, I convinced myself that the project wouldn't interest many people. And as with all my projects, I find flaws in it, mainly on the inside rather than the outside. Unfinished models : Citroen AX "Tonic" My everyday car, adorable and celebrating its thirtieth birthday! I'm doing a bit of work on the model, which is mainly empty (like most of the ones you're going to see next). I've gone to the trouble of making a roof that has an odd number of studs, and I'm suffering the consequences, which are that I can't connect anything easily (thanks to the sunroof!). I'm planning a simple steering system, and lots of details! Citroen Ami 6 Berline Another commission, on which I was probably optimistic. What you see is simply a mix of Nico71 and Nick Barret's 2cv chassis. I try to take the best of both, forgetting perhaps that the bodywork; all curves; must be done. The fear of wasting time trying something that won't work stops me and makes me waste time doing nothing at all. I hope to be able to unblock this situation, especially to better understand how to make this damned bonnet and all these lines. Choosing a smaller scale might be a solution too, but I'm sticking to the idea of seeing my favourite car on a rare and venerable scale! Citroen 5HP Here is a creation that will please all the fans of technic who have lost themselves here. I created this chassis and it is just waiting for its body. But I’m not sure if the suspensions will work yet ... Panhard Dyna Z Some of you here have noticed this model, and it has evolved well over time. I worked a lot on this front to push the realism to the maximum. I’m more than happy with the result. I hope to be able to do all the inside one day and to be able to build it in this green would be great (but not possible now!) Panhard 24 CT It’s been a long time since I worked on this beautiful model, after discovering that nothing was at scale! What a shame ! Simca 5 This model also attracted attention, and I’m very proud of the work done. But it remains to do the internal connections and chassis ... I really wish I could finish this model that really deserves to be on my shelves! +the actual motor on this thing is so tiny, that I don't know if I could make it ! Simca Aronde A nice car that is not on the scale too. But I intend to make the version "Plein air" in its 1300 version. A beautiful car forgotten! Renault 4L F4 I have reworked the scale on this vehicle, but I've made it difficult for myself to do the rear section, I'd like it to be simpler but not necessarily 100% realistic. Renault GrandModus Project set aside, but it deserves more attention from me. I'm not convinced that the slightly too rounded rear shape is right, but it looks good... Renault 4cv Everything was fine, until I had to do the back of the model! I have not found a solution at the moment but doing SNOT seems to me to be the best option. Integrating technic parts could work? Sovam 1100 Model created for a competition, hence the original windshield! Remains to do everything else. JDM 49 SLD A microcar well unknown, but a very complicated model! I became passionate about unknown cars, so microcars are a must for me! It remains to make some modifications and the interior. Strangely the back is the only part not on scale! Many models, and much more with a few bricks laid only. But if I could finish some in the next few months I would be very happy. My 2 main models in progress at the moment are the Citroen ami 6 and the Citroen AX. Do not hesitate to leave your opinion, who knows a solution could unlock some models that have been stored for too long!
  4. Thank you! You're right, I can't wait for Lego to come up with new wheels and windshields! (but they don't :/)
  5. and yes already dismantled ... And it served me well for the Talbot, the 4L and the Taunus! But frankly, this ford is so obscure and austere that you could appreciate it :)!
  6. For the rear window, why not! Unfortunately, I don't have the model anymore to try! For the wheels, it's 3D resin printing. I got it on request thanks to GT_Crea_cars on Instagram. He has a website and he makes superb products. His website : gtcreacars.com aha! These three creations are still being designed! But I'm glad you're interested. I'm preparing a Panhard Dyna Z(1), a simca 5 (for the brand's 90th birthday!) and a Renault 4lR4. I've already been able to assemble the 4lF4 once, but I have to take the model back. I'm still not sure about the rear sides. Let me know what you think! ps: it's not a big deal not to know Panhards well! But did you notice the ford Taunus 12m P1 on the picture? You should know this one better!
  7. Hello, I don't really know how to introduce you to my creation: the Renault Fuego. It's been a year since I was able to make this model, with a few changes. With this model, my main objectives were to make it detailed and as close as possible to the original, and to make it solid. As for the details, my only regret is the rear panoramic window, which is so characteristic of the Fuego. I fiddled with it a few times, but wasn't really convinced by the result. Doors and hood open, seats tilt. No Technic functions, unfortunately. As for solidity, only the mirrors and rear wiper are fragile. Everything else is very solid, including a 6-point connection for the roof. Otherwise, over the past 6 months I've made other models. Here's a screenshot. Don't hesitate to suggest one for next time, maybe in 6 months :). ah and if you want more detailed descriptions / history of the car or anything else feel free to ask me for next time. I don't know if you're really interested.
  8. Thank you very much, I've built it (without the right colours). You can see it on the last image. Ah ah! Thank you very much, I can't wait for lego to diversify the tyres!
  9. Hello, Today I'd like to introduce you to one of my creations, the 1928 Renault NN. Choice of model Being from the period after 2000, I've never actually seen a vehicle that would be old today. I draw my ideas from the vehicles my family may have owned, but also from what I discover around me. Whether it's at the bottom of a field, at meetings or, as here, in a (working!) dealership. Great, isn't it? This 1928 Renault is a rather well-preserved barn find. So I didn't wait long before embarking on the project of making a scale model. The model For the model, I obviously chose the thinner wheels, but also the smaller sizes (I hadn't had the 49.5x14 wheels yet). Note: I know there are thinner 1970 tyres, but these are not very aesthetic for wheels; I may look into a custom 3D print soon. Overall, most of the functions are carried over: -4 opening doors (independent) -opening bonnet with engine ( fake and simple) -removable soft top I chose not to include the rear hatch because of the lack of mechanisms to guarantee its solidity. I also didn't want to include steering. The model consist in 736 parts, which makes it a nice package who's not overloaded. the model can be built in several colours. For the last image, here is the prototype built with a Renault hobby set from the 70s. Thanks for looking, if you want more info or if you want to get the instructions it's on my Rebrickable : https://reb.li/m/131491 Don't hesitate to give your opinion, whether critical or constructive or whatever, I'll try to answer!
