  1. Brick sticker shop is good for replacement sticker sheets, often better quality that the Lego originals. www.brickstickershop.com
  2. I’m not convinced by this one at all. F1 cars are hard to capture with Technic panels but this looks like a rip off set you see advertised on Amazon. Overall bodywork just doesn’t flow. I don’t understand why the HOG steering has to be fed up through the air box ruining the t-cam proportions. Ferrari 8386 had it right placing the steering within the cockpit. can see daylight through the floor of the car with the engine cover removed. As with previous crop of cars, no attempt made to model radiators or exhaust system as on older models. Just a hollow shell. I’m not even massively convinced that the new wishbones model the appearance of F1 style suspension better than the current parts/mechanisms. Just my impressions anyway.
  3. Love it! Instantly recognisable as a late 90s/early 00s McLaren. Can’t wait to see your progress on this one.
  4. Looks good so far. I’ll follow this one with interest as I love F1 cars. I’m currently working on my own small scale early 2000s era V10 F1 car and have had several sticking points. How strong are those steering arms I wonder? How are you planning to shape the nose? Keep up the good work!
  5. Hi all, Long time reader of the forum, first time posting. I’ve been having a go at building a small F1 car from the early 2000s V10 era, roughly matching the scale of the McLaren Senna, Bolide etc. It’s undergone several redesigns primarily to reduce the profile of the chassis to 4 studs high. The problem I’ve got is I’m stuck designing an effective nose that has the right profile. I’ve experimented with flex hose, 1x2 triangles using liftarms, various panel combinations, but none look quite right or provide enough stiffness around the steering box. I’ve attached a picture here for reference but I would welcome any advice, suggestions, or frank criticism if I’m on the wrong track entirely! Many thanks,
