  1. Maybe it's a regional thing? I guess the American sold Renegades are made and packed in Mexico while the European ones have parts mostly made in Billund and then packed into boxes in Kladno, Czech Republic. I had no problem with my space cameras and my box has the letter code S (Kladno). The letter codes are: H = Nyíregyháza, Hungary R = Ciénega de Flores, Mexico S = Kladno, Czech Republic Q = Purkersdorf, Austria B = Shenzhen, China (Not Confirmed) M = Billund, Denmark (Not Confirmed) O = Billund, Denmark (Not Confirmed) Info from:
  2. I took the photos myself at the Helsinki Lego Show in Finland in 2004. It was and exhibition that was arranged every summer from 2003 to 2006 as a cooperation between Lego and a sports complex called Arena Center that is situated underground under the Hagnäs market square. There is an article about it (in Finnish, which I speak some so I can help to translate the most important information). https://www.kaleva.fi/helsingin-hakaniemeen-avattiin-lego-puisto/2090785 The owners of the sports complex wanted to do something different during the summer when very few people play floor hockey indoors and got the idea to do something Lego related. They contacted the local Lego office in Helsinki and they contacted the main office in Billund. They all liked the idea and so the Helsinki Lego Show was born. Every summer a team from Billund arrived and built the show. Over 30 builds were displayed and the there were also build and play areas as well as a pop up Lego store. The Star Wars display in the photo below has mountains from similar material as the Pirates display in the video has.
  3. What a fantastic display. Those sets are so cool. I've seen a couple of similar displays for Pirates and Trains.
  4. With those you can build a microscale Seatron monorail.
  5. Given the large number of parts included I believe you can build a new MOC version of the Renegade that is more to your liking. It is so cool to have many Blacktron themed and colored parts available.
  6. There was a separate Renegade thread but it got locked for reasons unknown to me. Today I've built a landing pad for my Renegade so that I can display it alongside my Galaxy Explorer.
  7. My original copy of 6267 Lagoon Lock Up has only hollow stud heads. I still have the box (European/international version) and "©1991, 1992" is printed on the side. I know that all minifigs are the original ones in this set. My Eldorado Fortress minifigs has all solid stud heads except one soldier but I'm not 100% certain that all those minifigs have their original heads.
  8. The printed pieces are really good and the minifigs and robot are fantastic. Holding it in my hand it feels and looks like a hybrid between the original Renegade and 6982 Explorien Starship (a set that I like very much).
  9. Here it is. I really enjoyed building it. It looks even better in real life compared to the pictures.
  10. Thanks for the information. I got it half an hour after my last post. I've nearly finished building it. I'm very satisfied with what I've built so far. It's a truly amazing set. More Blacktron, great!
  11. Three and a half hours ago the delivery van started from their depot which is a two hour drive from my house. That is the latest update. I guess I'll be the last one on their list because I live on the far end of a peninsula. Yesterday the package was shipped from Brussels, Belgium. I believe that Lego Shop at Home is located there. Do you know since you live in Belgium?
  12. I got a a message from DHL early this morning that they'll deliver the Renegade Today. Now I have to look out the window every five minutes to check if the van is coming. Fortunately I'm not working today.
  13. Happy New Year to everyone!
  14. I bought it now in the morning instead ( 1.1.2024, 8:30 AM CET) as soon as I woke up. I gave up at 1:05 AM CET during the night and went to bed. I had originally planned to buy it directly after the fireworks and New Year celebrations. Happy New Year to everyone!
  15. It is now after midnight and I can't buy the Renegade (I'm a Lego Insider). It is supposed to be available on 1.1.2025. Until midnight CET there was a banner "LEGO® Insider Early Access on this set – 1/1-1/3" but now it is gone and I can't still buy the set
  16. Unfortunately I don't own any of those sets but they are definitely on my to buy list. Of the Pirates sets I have 1729 Barnacle Bay, 1481 Pirates Desert Island and 1492 Battle Cove. From Space I have 1620 Astro Dart, 1621 Lunar MPV Vehicle, 1974 Star Quest, 6955 Space Lock Up Isolation Base and 1969 Mini Robot. From Castle 1917 King's Catapult. Now I'll go outside and watch the fireworks and then come back inside and buy the new Renegade! Happy New Year!
  17. Yes, that's probably one of the main reasons why they did the NA exclusive sets and subthemes. As a kid I had some NA catalogs I got from sets that visiting relatives gave to me. That was when I found out about the exclusive sets and subthemes and since then I've been very interested in them and has acquired several of them from Bricklink.
  18. Why was 1729 Barnacle Bay exclusive to North America? During these years the Pirates theme was equally popular in Europe and the set is not very different from other small pirates sets sold in other regions. The same goes for other Pirates sets and some Space and Castle (whole subthemes such as Dark Forest and most of Unitron) sets as well that were only available in NA. My own theories are that North American stores are larger and therefore need more sets or that Lego tried to grow their market share in NA in the late 80s and early to mid 90s just as they are doing in Asia today and therefore needed more sets. I ordered this set from Bricklink in the early 00s when these sets were still inexpensive. It is a nice set that I like very much and the cannon was my first non shooting one. The instructions are printed in Germany by Frank Druck, Preetz/Holst. I guess that all sets were still packaged in Billund back then.
  19. I like the design and the colors, very good looking locomotive!
  20. I haven't played it online myself but it has worked well for others. Lego Racers is such a fun game. I found these nice remastered Lego Racers videos on Youtube and
  21. SpacePolice89 replied to SERVATOR's post in a topic in LEGO Town
What a beautiful build! Merry Christmas!
  22. Aren't threads where you are supposed to list stuff different from threads that focus on discussion?
  23. Thanks! The green truck is from 4561 and the red one is from 4564.
  24. I also prefer the four stud wide vehicles. I think that they look better than the six stud wide ones. The six stud wide vehicles are often too big for city builds and road plates (both old and new) and they make sets unnecessary expensive. I don't mind the occasional six stud wide specialty vehicle like 6484 but I strongly prefer most vehicles being four stud wide. The picture below is from my Lego city I had in the early 2000s and it illustrates the perfect size of four stud wide vehicles.
