I'm planning on getting 2 of the new clone trooper vs droid battle packs (it's on backorder right now :( ), and while I like the tri droid and stap, I can't say the same for the clone trooper builds. Here's an x wing moc I made! Side view The wings can open and close based on an 8 tooth gear on the back Here's the gear mechanism that makes the s foils work. It uses a worm gear so that the wings stay in their place Lastly, here's a top down comparison with a 'real' x wing. This piece reminded me of an x wing cockpit, so I tried to make an x wing using it. I also wanted to make sure that it could host a minifigure and have working s foils, and I'm really happy with how it turned out! Thanks for looking!

I think that part of why lsw sets are getting worse is because tlg realized that half baked sets sell ok if they have good minifigures (for example, the recent tx130), since their audience seems to either be a) children "too young to care too much about set accuracy", or b) afols who are mostly in it for minifigures because they can buy moc instructions
