Top 16 Clone Wars minifigs?
C3PO might be nice to include since he's often with R2.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
I dislike how we're finally getting these highly desired, fan favorite Clone Wars sets but they are worse than their predecessor's. Coruscant Guard Gunship, 2022 fighter tank, and now the new ARC-170 are all massive downgrades. They're downscaled and the proportions are all wrong, not to mention overpriced. At least the AT-TE was an improvement.

you've never seen Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy or The Batman (2022)? You are really missing out

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Picked up the invisible hand for $30 from target, glad I waited for that price because the midi scale sets generally feel pretty overpriced for what you get.

I highly doubt they're gonna release it after 7 years.

I saw it on r/legoleaks and literally every comment was trashing it, rightfully so.

I don't care if LEGO agrees with me, there's lots of decisions they make regarding set and figure designs which I think could be better. God forbid I'm not a shill and actually critique the company, lol. I'm fine with them making a new design, I don't see why that's such a big deal.

I usually just Bricklink the old helmets to replace the new ones I get, using them for spacetroopers is a good idea though.

Lego is always changing the trooper designs, those of us who collected the 2014 stormtroopers or clones got our collections messed up. The family guy helmets look ridiculous, no sense in keeping a bad design.

yeah not to mention the original one was a bit more accurate in it's size

I just thought it was an interesting comparison since it was the first ever Jedi interceptor set, and it's a much better value for the same vehicle plus a vulture droid (even if they're outdated).

That's fair but Lego uses a lot more smaller pieces nowadays, I don't think PPP is a great metric. The 2005 builds are definitely dated, but I think a kid would prefer it to a more expensive modern day set since you get a vulture droid and an interceptor for roughly 2/3 the price.

The Anakin's Jedi interceptor and vulture droid set was $20 in 2005, today that would be $32 adjusted for inflation. "They don't make them like they used to", applies here.

Same, I know it wont happen but I hope we get an entire wave of ROTS sets for the anniversary like the amount similar to 2014 or 2005.

I think the cantina had a good amount of figures but some of the figures could've used dual molding and arm printing like the cloud city figures.

I actually got that set on clearance mostly for the range troopers, but I ended up selling it because I thought the build was pretty boring.

Agreed, it's such an obvious set to remake and we rarely get a Star Wars set that colorful.

I played with mine a lot as a kid so the gray printing on the head completely wore off.

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Just an idea Invisible hand D2C playset (similar to the Tantive IV) - $230 Minifigs - 7 (Count Dooku, General Grievous, Obi Wan, Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine, 2 super battle droids.) I know we just got the Midi scale version but this has always been a desired set of mine.

I mean they just released a gray slab for $55, it's a pretty memorable scene from the prequels and it would probably be fun for kids to recreate the chase.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Generally Jedi who let their emotions control them and form attachments turn to the dark side, this is quote from Yoda in TPM "Fear is the path to the dark side … fear leads to anger … anger leads to hate … hate leads to suffering." Just because one Jedi (Luke) was able to have some attachment doesn't mean the entire philosophy of the Jedi is wrong, and friendship and forgiveness are very in line with the old Jedi. My original point was that I don't think it was in character for Luke to almost kill his nephew because of fear, he's a grandmaster at that point and it's not a jedi-like thing to do. Anakin was corrupted by Palpatine. Palpatine literally groomed him and planted the dreams about Padme. What were the Jedi supposed to tell Anakin? Yeah sure give into all your emotions, go kill sand people like on Tatooine. I think the "point of those movies" is about Anakin"s fall to the dark side and the fall of democracy and the rise of the empire. While the Jedi order could've been more understanding, they don't deserve the sole blame for everything that happened, Anakin went down the wrong path and suffered for it , he's not an innocent victim.

As I said in my comment, the Jedi were arrogant and blind since they had peace for so long. I just feel like people give them a bit too much of the blame, like they're the only reason the order collapsed. The prequel Jedi were forced in a lose lose situation most of the time due to the Sith. And Anakin probably would've been fine if Qui Gon trained him as originally intended by the Jedi. The Luke part is a good point but the Jedi code wasn't really a thing at that point.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
That's not "the whole point of the prequels" the prequels literally showcased what happens when Anakin gives into his attachments and leads to his turn to the dark side (quite literally proving the Jedi code correct). The fall of the jedi order was due to the Sith grand plan that was in the making for a thousand years, Palpatine is responsible for the downfall. Sure the Jedi were probably a bit arrogant and got too comfortable with having peace for so long. The emotions, attachments, and passion as you said, were the downfall of the Jedi because Anakin gave into his attachment to Padme which led to him killing mace instead of destroying the Sith. Yes Luke's philosophy was different in the EU regarding attachment and that stuff but that's not George's story. Also the Jedi order was doing just fine for a thousand years keeping the peace in the galaxy, if Palpatine and Plagueis hadn't been manipulating everything behind the scenes everything would've been fine. Perhaps it is you who watches with your eyes closed.
