LDD 1.6 to 4.1.8
I have a couple of LDD models that work fine in LDD 1.6 but will not load into LDD 4.1.8. Using the import function in 4.1.8 all I get is a blank screen. I am using extended mode, but have tried the others as well. Any ideas?

Cataloguing your collection
Yes, Brickstore gets it's parts list (and updates!) from the BL library of parts. It's a great program for collectors/organizers as well as sellers.

Cataloguing your collection
I use Brickstore to keep track of my parts collection. It's tedious to enter (I have a 75,000+ part collection which I entered manually) but once it's in, you can use it to find out all sorts of neat things about your collection. Want to make sure you have enough of a certain part? Just look it up in Brickstore. Buy a new set and want to add it to your parts inventory? Easily done. One really neat feature of this program is that you can load the file with all your parts in one document and then grab an inventory of a set from BL and load it into another document and using the subtract function, you can see which parts might be missing to build the set.

[KEY TOPIC] Official LEGO Sets made in LDD
400 - Universal Building Set - 400-01 http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/thomasmain/LDD/400-01.lxf This is my first attempt at reproducing an official Lego set in LDD. Because of the age of the set, I made several substitutions: * used a 1x2 brick instead of old style legs (part 51) * used a 1x2 brick and 1 x 2 jumper plate instead of old style torso (part 17) * used headlight brick instead of old 1 x 1 window(39c01) * used custom wheel assembly instead of parts bb19c02 and 7049b * used open stud 1x1 round bricks instead of closed stud I would appreciate any tips/advice/corrections; however, since I haven't posted much to eurobricks, I cannot send messages or view profiles.

PF Questions...
I am thinking of getting the 8878 PF Battery Box. I notice it doesn't come with a charger and is recommended for use with the 8887 10V DC charger. I was wondering if it is also compatible with the 9V chargers made for the train speed regulator or if I definitely need to buy both the 8878 and 8887. Also, will this battery box power PF sets lke the 10196 Grand Carousel (which has a 9V AA battery box)? -T -- Thomas Main thomasmain@charter.net

Rediscover the bustling streets of Classic Town CONTEST
OK, I know this is a stupid question, but I am new to Eurobricks -- where can I see the contest entries? -T

Looking for a Brickshelf folder...
Thanks for the suggestions...I did search for various keywords on BS but came up empty. Surprisingly, searching for "CAD" turned up zero results - even though it is one of the predefined tags BS uses. I think there is something amiss with the search engine. Unfortunately, I did not keep the original filename of the picture either - so unless someone happens to remember this series of renders (they are really extraordinary) I guess I will not find them again. -T

Looking for a Brickshelf folder...
I am looking for the Brickshelf folder that had the attached rendered image of a Lego room in it. As I recall, there were several other view angles of the room in this folder - but I cannot find it on Brickshelf anymore. Does anyone know this scene or the person who made it? Any help would be greatly appreciated... -T
