  1. After two years of construction, now I present you with my newly-build gothic-style cathedral. I would love to name it as St. Michel cathedral. And it has a size of 48x114 and estimates around 20,000 pieces. I will give credit to Reims Cathedral and Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris in real life. There are tons of decoration details to researched and realised using lego bricks. I am still not satisfied with the twin towers but I will leave it like this for now. Here comes my very first version in comparison to that is as follows stained glass chairs tomb wih a lion statue mossiac floor using slopes altar, choir and organ how the nave looks like
  2. Actually it is the first time that I ever purchase the modular buildings. I got 2 box of 10243 and managed to get a few hundreds of spare parts from bricklink. At the first time I thought it might be easy for modification of 10243 into a corner version by simply putting together the main body of parsian restaurant vertically. But after several hours of trying, it turned out to be wrong. In fact it took much more time than I expected to get the exterior part done. I have not even started the interior decoration yet. Anyway it is still a satisfaction to me considering it is my first creation of town theme. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/eos512/CornerRestaurant/facade.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/eos512/CornerRestaurant/facade2.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/eos512/CornerRestaurant/side.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/eos512/CornerRestaurant/back.jpg
  3. It has been a long time since I played with lego last time. Well I started lego collection ever since early 2009. But after a fews years of collection of star wars and castle, I turned to collect those action figures of movie characters which are easy to assemble and less space-consuming. Therefore I have so sadly missed the time of LOTR issue which means that I have to spend a lot more money to assemble my uruk-hai army. Anyway, even though I have stayed away from lego for serveral years, building a cathedral or at least building the facade of a cathedral still remains on top of want-to-do list. So I have spent a few days using my old bricks purchased from BL on this facade of cathedral. I haven't named it yet but I think I should leave it after I finished the rest of the project. Since I was building the cathedral without LDD, the process of redesigning and rebuilding really drived me crazy. But thanks God that I can get this done regardless of those far less delicate decorations. Hope that I can get some advices on the interior and exterior ornament
  4. u guys believe it or not, now i got the box art from one of my friend Cagersky from lelezhen.com. I dun know how he managed to get this. It's just amazing.
