Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
Toys R Us now has Hobbit Barrel Escapes in stock. TRU Belconnen (ACT) had one yesterday, and Majura Park (ACT) had half a dozen. $70 if I recall?...

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
Confirmed next Thursday (21st) with staff today. The question was prompted because Myer Canberra Centre had a lot of new stock in (or a higher volume of old stock out of the store room and on display, more correctly - LOTR sets and new Star Wars were conspicuous by their absence), but they did have the new creator houses available for $60

Myer Civic Canberra had some of the new LOTr sets today - Uruk Hai ($60) Weathertop ($90) and Helms Deep as well as the new SW line (Jabbas Palace for $200, the 3 series 2 'planet' sets and some of the Clone Ward fighters that I won't pretend to recognise). Also had a few of the red cargo trains and some tower bridges if people were still after one or the other.

Sigh... Time to upgrade the wall on the walled city MOC I had been tinkering with...

If you are having trouble with locating the ears on the headpiece (so many 'chunky' parts in this series...) then the carrot and carrot tops are comparatively easy pieces to identify. Best of luck!

Merlin's Magical Shop
Great use of texture and colour - I loved the dark blue roof, very striking. And so many details to look at everywhere. Great job!

Brilliant work on the Round 3 challenges so far all! Unfortunately due to work commitments my available free time has been sharply curtailed of late - hoping to get some free builds happening again soon though...

Sanctuary Of The Damned
Well I have completely run out of superlatives to use in relation to your MOC's. Instead I think I'm just going to invent a new quantitative measure of MOC Awesomeness - this build is at least 11.7 DC's In all seriousness, excellent work. I hope it was half as satisfying for you to build as it is for the rest of us to appreciate. Great use of parts and palette to create atmosphere, and all those curves are just spectacular.

I'm guessing intentionally created decoys, similar appearing/sounding items that turn out to not be the correct gem on further inspection, or if we want to follow your usual fantasy literature cliché, each crystal could have been sundered in to dozens of fragments and scattered across the lands to prevent it from falling in to the wrong/right hands. Does anyone else remember the picture on the cover of the first edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Players Guide? For some reason it was the first thing I thought of after reading this challenge

All fantastic builds, well deserving winners all! And my sympathies to the judges, for once again having to choose from so many great builds. A sincere well done to all
