  1. ScottishDave did it and i remember he said the fram was still enough strong to move the Falcon around. Link to Frame mod You can find some images of rhe interior in the second page and others searching on the forum.
  2. I like a lot these brick build redesign of the original set like for the UCS Falcon's engine and flaps.
  3. After reading all the thread I have a few questions: is there a PDF for v2? On Bricksafe I fond only a delta file from v1 to v2 and an instructions file that seems (from the name) v1.2 And a delta file for inventory from v2 to v3?
  4. Finally I decided for the Gmk6400: the challenge begins.
  5. Thank you guys for the advises, now I have all the informations to decide. I'll let you know.
  6. Thanks for the replies: i'm not new to Lego, my return from dark age was a Bricklinked "Cafè corner" and now I almost finished a 10179 modified Millennium Falcon about 6000 pieces. I am new to Lego technics so my confusion about the choice come from this: i'd like something challenging but I wondered also which could be more enjoyable after the build.
  7. Hi, i need an advise from technic experts: do you think 550€ is a fairy price for a used gmk6400 moc( 42009 complete set + all the parts and PF to build gmk6400)? Is this set enjoyable or better buy 42030 and 42043?
  8. Brick and Pieces is slow but it will arrive: 100$ difference is enough for me to wait more time.
  9. Photos don't give the exact idea of the model size; you can find a few images on the Web of someone with the falcon on his arms that conveys the idea of the size.
  10. I'm Falcon owner too( build in progress, but almost finished) and i'm very interested about these lights.
  11. In my opinion, with all the mods, Dave's falcon is the best Lego reproduction of the studio scale replica. He modded also all the internal structure to fit an iterior: I you decide to to go only for the engine mod like me, you have to change only the rear part of the structure. If you want i have some pics taken during the build.
  12. Yes there is a better way to do it, but it involves a lot of rear modifications. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/11988796@N02/sets/72157639941440604/
  13. https://flic.kr/p/zgBrpy About your landing gear David how did you realise this connection? Filippo
  14. Did you used a monitor bracket?
  15. Which acrylic box did you use(one piece, or screwed sides) ? Are they strong enough or they under the weight of modulars.
  16. I'm building a Falcon with a modded engine like the one from ScottishDave and I prefer it to the original one.
  17. Now that my family is on holiday and i'alone in the city at work, i'm spwnding many evenings bulding the falcon and studying a methot to fix rear panels of the modified engine.
  18. David, now I finally understand how you achieved that result for the interior, excellent job; I decided to not add the interior so I only free up enought space for the engine mod: I integrated most of the back technic structure in to the landing gear box but I kept the rest as it is.

I tried to replicate the stand from the photos: i don't know how the central technic beams are connected to the Falcon and if the stand is sturdy enought for the model, cause as every LDD creation, you have to build it to know if the project is ok in real life. I will order the pieces after i finished building the Falcon. This is the link to the LXF http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=556415

If someone is interested i made a lxf of the stand to bricklink the parts.
  21. I'm very curious too.
  22. Cool solution, so any bricklinked Falcon can now have easily a new engine.

Beautiful MOC, it looks so real...i wouldn't be surprised if you took inspiration from a building you have seen.
