LEGO reveals new line - Power Miners
so just like pretty much everyone else here i immediatly though rock raiders. but with a slightly SWish glimmer of hope... it seems to be a trend that the RR monster would be used as a rancor for jabba's palace etc. perhaps this new line will give us a better replacement... move movable first off would be good... slightly bigger perhaps. as for any chance of it being slightly neon greenish... its slime.. obviously we'll have to see pics, but i'm looking at this with optimism

Lego Supersized!
in general i don't really like large old pieces, i find them to directed to a single purpose, they limit creativity. lego should go back to the days when things were actually built with bricks and plates instead of all these huge things. mind you some are good for certain things, its generally hard to make things look round with out using large molded pieces but people seem to find a way of doing it anyways. look at this moc that i found on mocpages boba fett slave 1 who ever did this made a very nice looking slave 1 with well rounded edges without the use of any of the rounded slope bricks. TLC should go back to the days of building things in this style. i figure it would cost less to produce lots of idividual bricks that can be used for anything instead of a few huge speciality pieces BJ

mars mission aliens
pretty sure that the glow in the dark feature is advertised on the packaging as well as at LEGO shop @ home.. i may be wrong, but i think its common knowledge BJ

police set 7744 from 2008 in the Netherlands
Its definitely one of the nicer looking police stations that Lego has come out with, did I notice a new type of hand cuffs? Different from the batman version? I like it, more like cuffs than shackles and I think they are grey, more accurate. Either way nice set, kind of pricey though

TRU Arkham Asylum sale
Hey all, so I was in my local TRU (hamilton, CANADA) today and was able to pick up 7785 Arkham Asylum for half price ($59.95). This is a great deal, and I thought I'd pass on. Its online too. Not sure if its international or not but either way its a good price and everyone should know about it. Later BJ

The Great Troll Debate
okay so i just read this thread and its actually the thing made me actually take the time to sign up so that i could throw my opinion out there. i completely agree with BatBrick. well maybe not that you're all losers, but that the orcs (or troll warriors, for you biased people) are stollen right from Tolkien. the entire premise of the new sets is LOTR, think about it dwarves, orcs, ogres, etc. it really sounds like TLC watched a movie and said hey theres a good idea but they didn't want to try to buy a license (thank god cause that would jack the price and result in more fleshies) so they changed things just enough so that they could get the point across with out getting their butts sued. whatever i guess it doesn't really matter to me but if i would have to explain them to some one i would def just say that they are like orcs from LOTR

I'm new here
Hi all So ya I'm new around here, kind of. I've been browsing the site for a while now, looking at the most current lego news, reading some set reviews, checking out moc's, etc. I'm mostly interested in SW and castle, but that doesn't mean that i won't 'explore' other themes. been "playing" with Lego for pretty much all my life, but for the past couple of years it has more or less changed from playing to collecting, and trying more serious builds. I still like screwing around with my Lego occasionally just for fun. Just joining so that i can feel like more of a part of the AFOL community and actually have a say in some of the descussions which i care about (for example: troll warriors, defanetly a knock off LOTR orcs) anyways thats pretty much it. glad to be here and i thought i'd introduce myself
