MOC: Hawkeye's Skycycle
vignette by GV357, on Flickr Always loved this classic vehicle, and finally got the chance to make my own version of it for the FBTB Wings of Justice Contest. Think I stayed pretty faithful to the original design, except I changed it to a 1 seater. I redesigned this thing a lot, each time it got smaller and smaller. I wanted it true minifig scale. You can see more photos of this projects and of the 1.0 version on my flickr here. I also took a shot and uploaded it to cuusoo ... please support me here if you like it! Thanks in advance for your feedback, hope you enjoy! side by GV357, on Flickr

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
I'm kind of upset that Powersuit Lex gets the armor chestpiece/shoulder pads, while Ironman is suck with a big head. IMO that piece would have been great for Ironman, and you can even put a transblue 1x1 stud in the middle! What a missed opportunity ... Only reason I can think of them not doing it, is that theyll eventually produce a Mark I minifig and use that to show the difference in bulkiness between the 2 suits of armor.

Category 1 and 2 winners
so this was my first contest i've ever entered and one of my first MOCs ever, so I have a question ... what does everybody do with their creations now? take them apart, save them? i've seen some MOCs from a local LUG in my lego store, I wonder what the process is like to get it displayed in there?

Category 1 and 2 winners
mazel tov to all the winners, as a first time builder, I feel honored to be a part of such a group. thanks to whitefang and penguin for putting this together. however, IMO cat 1 arkham city by sok117 was one of the better entries and deserved to place. that's how it goes i suppose ...

CAT 2: Access to Batcave Via Batpoles
Thanks so much for the kind words everyone! I'm very proud of this piece. Judging by your feedback, it was able to get across the intended vintage feel. While I find it hard to enjoy 60's batman shows as an adult, I absolutely loved it as a child. I was going to find some short legs for Robin, but didn't happen to have any in green! You're comments on detail mean a lot coming from you considering how amazing your arkham city piece was. Thank you very much for the compliment. While building, I thought the juxtaposed styling of the study vs. the cave wouldn't work together, but I was wrong - I'm very happy with how fluid it is. I'm glad you enjoyed the bookshelf, as it is probably the detail I am most happy with. This was the 4th or 5th version of that particular piece. The vintage feel was definitely intended, but the MOC was more 60's "inspired" than an exact representation of classic Batman. The red phone, bookshelf, poles, etc. are all there, but I intentionally left out less desirable details like "bruce" and "dick" labels for example - as well as the "access to batcave via batpoles" sign. I replaced them with one of the batman logo'd flaps off the vehicle that came with the 2008 Batcave. I did however purposefully include "odes" to the series however like the fencing gear. I remember each episode would start with bruce and dick always in the middle of some kind of practice - golf, tennis, etc. I tried out a few different kinds of accessories before settling on fencing sword and helmet. Thanks again for the kind words everyone! Best of luck to all in the contest!

CAT 2: Access to Batcave Via Batpoles
we find millionaire playboy bruce wayne reflecting after a rigorous fencing workout with his ward dick grayson. after excusing themselves from aunt harriet, our heroes retire to the study where once again justice calls. a button hidden in the c3p0 shakespeare bust reveals access to the batcave, where their trusty butler Alfred awaits further instructions. batman & robin spring into action as yet another adventure awaits our heroes. you can see the hi res shots on my flickr thanks again to everyone involved with this wonderful contests. the entries have been very impressive so far - best of luck to all! check out my category 1 entry detailing batman's origin here note: I added a "spine" to my piece that extends over the 8x8 base for playability so that minifigs can slide down the poles between settings. I don't believe it violates the 1 stud overhang rule that i've seen some entries make use of, but if anybody believes it does, it's easily modified to not exceed the base. there's a better photo of it on my flickr

CAT 1: Monarch Theater/Crime Alley
very interesting take i knew someone else would do crime alley (how could they not its pretty iconic in batman lore) and I was anxious to see what other entries would look like. really like how you made the alley behind the movie theater and the zorro minifig/movie poster. we used the same face for young bruce!
