  1. This piece from the new Ninjago Movie Ice Tank: https://brickset.com/parts/6195410/wall-cone-5x10x6
  2. Plus the new piece in the Ice Tank that PERFECTLY matches the dimensions and proportions of a UCS MF cockpit.
  3. I wonder of one of the teasers could be "Something faster is coming. Point 5 past light speed faster."
  4. Give me a chrome 3PO, R2 with rear printing and I'll be happy with the remake. Haven't got round to building my Death Star yet, but absolute worst case scenario is it becomes a big parts pack. The best thing about it is that it increases the chances of getting a revamped UCS Falcon - something I've wanted ever since the last one was a avilable but I wasn't fully out of my dark ages yet. Don't fully understand the hate about a remake. Sure, it possibly sucks if you have the old one, but then again, no one is forcing you to pruchase it. For every person that's unhappy it's been remade, I bet there's ten who will be happy - some of which won't even have been born yet if it this new one remains on shelves for as long as the prior one did.
  5. The more I look at that pic, the more he doesn't look chrome Please don't do this to us Lego
  6. Pleeeeeeeease tell me it's gold chrome! I can't believe they wouldn't, and I've been waiting soooo long for a chrome 3PO. But the image looks more like they've just tried to make gold paint look extra fancy.I can't believe they'd make a chrome TC14 and not 3PO though. If this came free with purchase on September 4th, I'd buy all the new sets.
  7. Well someone a page or so ago said that Darth dies at the end of Episode 6. I read the spoiler by accident and now I'm devastated as I've been holding off watching the original 6 movies till I can see all 9 of them in one sitting
  8. I'd been wondering what the deal was with that Endor Trooper's mouth, too. I couldn't believe that no-one else had mentioned it. Then I suddenly thought it might be an alien Endor trooper which would have been really cool. So yesterday I was looking up pics of Prune Face to see if it was him. Knowing it's just a mustache is a bit of an anticlimax now.
  9. Hopefully the new R2 means printing on the back (as well as more detail on the front like R5D4). And a few people have mentioned wanting a new Bespin sometime. I suddenly got an image in my head of a Bespin done in the stule of the current Death Star. How awesome would that be if it cost $400? Carbonite freezing chamber; room where threepio gets attacked; ugnaught workshop; dinner with Darth & Boba; Luke & Darth lightsaber duel; Han torture chamber etc etc.
  10. I don't normally like prequel trilogy stuff and don't want to dilute my OT imperial forces with PT clones, but I love those green Kashyyyk guys so I guess I'll end up getting a couple of packs of those. I love the fact that the Death Star pack will have Death Star Gunners as these were a figure I always wanted back when the Kenner toys were out in the 70s and 80s but they only finally the DS Gunner in the final wave. Ideally I'd probably like just 4 Royal Guards, so I wish there was just one per pack so it'd be an excuse to get four packs. Ideally I'd like maybe one Royal Guard, one DS Gunner, one DS Trooper and maybe some sort of officer or stormie. On a side note, I just looked up the Death Star on the Lego website to see how many Royal Guards came in that (I think it's either two or none) but it doesn't seem to be there any more. It's been around for a long time but I'd be surprised if it was suddenly discontinued. Maybe it's just a temporary glitch.
  11. Brainslugged replied to Rufus's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm currently two-thirds of the way through building R2 so thought I'd chime in with a few comments. I believe the orange bricks at the start of the build are to make it instantly obvious which way round you're holding the piece you're making. Such "signposts" demonstrate a really nice, thoughtful attention to detail that wouldn't even be noticed by most people, until like me, you find yourself suddenly unsure as to which way round you're currently holding it. As for the random colors in the set - I like them. It makes it a lot more interesting than a big box of white. It also makes following the instructions a lot easier. The disparity in the whites isn't obvious to me, although I don't think my room is lit well enough as I have real problems distinguishing between the two different blues in the instructions. This may not be a problem if you build a bag at a time, but I prefer to chuck all the pieces together and do the sorting myself. One thing that actually put me off R2 was the prospect of all those white pieces discoloring over time, but at least they look OK for now (I think). I bought the yellow Creator sports car recently and the yellows on that were all over the place. Half of them looked almost orange. I hope this isn't a (bad) sign of things to come. Excited to hear of the new sets being featured in the back. I Haven't got that far yet so I'm looking forward to seeing them tonight once R2 gets his head. Some people (including Rufus) have said the blockiness of the main unit is good as it shows it's made of Lego, however, one thing I find a little jarring is that the legs are just SO good and could have come off the actual movie model that they make the body look extra blocky by comparison. Still a great model, but I wouldn't complain if the body was as smooth and perfect-looking as the legs. Finally, I really wish they'd give the minifig R2 a chrome head. That would have turned the set from an "I guess I'll get it" to to a must-have. Great review though - thanks.
  12. Thanks. I did do it, but soon after attaching it, I knocked the front of it loose and didn't realise till later on. By that point I was waaaaay too jaded to go back and re-do those shots again.
  13. Ok - slightly off-topic but here's my stop-motion build of the Imperial Flagship if anyone's interested: On-topic, still on the fence about whether to go for QAR or BP, but the fact that the BP doesn't have a hull rear really puts me off it. Having said that, the flimsy QAR build would really annoy me. Maybe I should just stick to Star Wars sets, or try and track down a Grand Carousel for a reasonable price.
  14. Great animation. I made my first one last week (the lighthouse) and just spent the last two nights making the Imperial Flagship in the same way. 12 hours so far, and I still need to do a couple of hours worth of finishing touches tonight, at which point I'll post it to YouTube tonight using the same name (Brainslugged) if you're interested in seeing it. I use my video camera to take the photos which fortunately has a remote so no camera shake. I also have it directly under a bunch of lights to try to avoid changes in lighting. I noticed that you zoomed in and out on specific bits during the build, but I chose to have the whole thing fit in the frame. I'm slightly worried this means everything will be too small to see very well, but I guess I'll find out tonight. Maybe I need to practice zooming and panning while building. Still trying to work out whether the BP or QAR would make the best companion piece to it though.
