REVIEW: 71028 LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter Series 2
I received my case and the distribution was as you reported...so good news. No need to apologize for missing two series...you've been faithfully doing this for 10 years...we all need a break. I also found some additional information that might be interesting. The first couple series used to be backed 2 boxes per case. LEGO than had switched this to one box per case. But on talking to a local retailer it seems they have 2 options now...one box per case or a case of 4 boxes, which was the route my retailer took. These were not sealed boxes along the top edge as in the past. Additionally the lot number was not stamped on the bottom of a box yet is on the back of the bag (though not stamped in the bottom seal as in the past) All this just goes to say that a different process for packing these is definitely evident. Take care :)

REVIEW: 71028 LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter Series 2
WhiteFang Welcome back! Your reviews/insight/humour of both Series 20 and DC Series was certainly missed...and thought I was missing something until I had discovered your "retirement" after some 10 years of a very much-anticipated review. I have yet to get my case as seems my local sources did not get it before the release date. Had been getting nervous about the case distribution as have been seeing some worrying numbers by others that have found cases (only 1-2 sets per sealed box).

What did you buy today?
Ideas Treehouse for 20% off at local toystore :) Was a nice surprise as coupon said not eligible for Recent or Exclusive sets. Yet heard that some have used the coupon on the Technic Excavator (yes, THAT one) so figured I'd check on the Ideas set :)

Does Lego intend to continue with the current schedule of Star Wars sets releases?
I would concur with this. It's almost to the point there is so much choking shelves right now and makes it very hard to get excited about it all...especially with re-issues. In the last year I've had to make the choice to become more selective having been a completionist since Day 1 20yrs ago. But one has to realize that the only way LEGO has to make money is try to push out stuff people will buy and in doing so what with all the other themes feel that LEGO is competing with itself in terms of shelf frontage and assortment...almost to the point where one will just walk away, as I have done numerous times. My hope is for 2 releases a year with the usual 5 sets per wave plus the usual UCS set in the spring and the and an expert set in the winter.

REVIEW: 71024 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Disney Series 2
Awesome review, as usual. So thanks for that. Have been a "completionist" since Series 1 (just missing the regional soccer team series) and have always enjoyed your reviews. So continue with the great work :) Only comment I might add...I wish LEGO would return to more unlicensed series. Can understand from a marketing point of view why they do what they do but would like a more traditional set of CMFs. Also, dislike the new packaging (more waste).

REVIEW: 71023 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie 2 Series
Awesome review as usual...always looking forward to this one! Especially the "extra" play pictures :) Were there still bump codes on these packages? And would assume they still differ per lot number as they had in the past. While a great looking themed series still looking forward to a more traditional non-themed lineup in the near future.

REVIEW: 71022 LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1
After going through 3 cases and hearing about other's the position of Graves "seems" to be consistent with the batch (119B8) we have from a local retailer. Left row, second from last. Good luck

Where is WhiteFang The Lego Batman Movie Minifigure 2 review?
Also looking forward to this as have yet to pick up my case. For some reason I had thought I had seen the review up but can't see it now...maybe I was dreaming it, in expectation :)

winbrant replied to nerdsforprez's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI ordered morning of June 1st as well and still nothing. Good to hear those in Europe are getting their orders now...figure "mine" might be on a pallet crossing the ocean bound for LEGO's North American distribution center in Enfield, CT....

What about the Star Trek license?
And don't forget MegaBloks' Kubros Line which focuses on brick-built figures...Spock, T-800 (Terminator), He-Man and Skeletor, not to forget about Master Chief and Ezio. Just to reinforce that they will continue to push the lines that don't seem to have many sets at this time but retain a license for.

[REVIEW] 42056 - Porsche 911 GT3 RS
winbrant replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWas told for store sales they were packed and shipped at 3/case but for online sales it was 1/case (as shown in that packaging video last week and noted in numerous un-boxing videos and reviews). Got an e-mail from S@H. It said that because of the way the set's box is put together there is an increased risk of damage to the set's box. So hopefully this is resolved soon. Maybe they'll put another cardboard sleeve around the set before putting it into the shipping box.

Which set is the one you enjoyed building the most?
I would have to agree with that one. That and the recent F40. I haven't built many sets this last year (still boxed in the basement) but those two had some very different techniques to achieve very cool shapes :)

What Lego-related thing did you do today?
Went to see the fruit of my labours in assisting in the build of this model, which was just unveiled in the Grand Opening of this development here in Calgary.

Advanced Models 10248 Ferrari F40: Discussion Topic
Seems they've addressed the issue (removed the "ship by comment). There's also an additional comment "VIP Members: If you would like to purchase this set but don’t see the Add To Bag button below, please sign in to your account." I did e-mail SC this morning about it and have been advised mine is currently in the warehouse. The local store is saying 1/household and appears they mey have only gotten about 4-5dozen in...there was a bit of a line-up before the store opened this morning. Box was smaller than I thought it would be but it definitely has the weight...all part of that carboard reduction plan.

Advanced Models 10248 Ferrari F40: Discussion Topic
I think the operative word here is "Ship by" in that you can still add to bag and purchase. It might just be the safety catch in the event that they may not be able to ship it right away. Seems there is also a limit of 2 as well.

How do you display your modular building collection?
Yes...it is the kitchen...and hence the reason for sealing that area off in plexiglass. Gotta make space where I can find it :)

Modular Display by winbrant2010, on Flickr Having a lack of space in my condo decided to use the space above the cabinets, then close it off in plexiglass.
