Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Me, too. My family is from the place where Mosasaurus was first discovered, so I’m super interested in them. It’d be nice to have an updated, modernized version of the 6721 Mosasaurus from 2001.

[OFFICIAL] "How to Be a Pirate" LEGO Little Golden Book
Hahaha, true! Either way, I think it’s absolutely positive that the book looks wholesome. So cute. That’s not bad in my, ah, Little Golden Book.

[OFFICIAL] "How to Be a Pirate" LEGO Little Golden Book
This looks so… so… I mean, ‘wholesome’ is not a word usually associated with pirates, but… Looking forward to this one immensely! And to its Castle counterpart, of course.

Black Pirates
Bit late to this thread, but… Lurtz from The Lord of the Rings has a torso that could be passed off as that of a Black man, if you don’t mind him having mud or the like all over him: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=110101#T=S&O={"iconly":0}

LEGO IDEAS - Vincent van Gogh: The Starry Night
It’s possible they’ll reveal it at LEGO CON this Saturday. 🤔

Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Wow! What a year for LEGO animals! It’s like all our Christmases have come at once. Lions, elephants, monkeys, sheep! Those bigger animals look mightily cool and the small ones are absolutely adorable. Looking forward to seeing many, many MOCs and brickfilms and whatnot with Africa influences and perhaps the odd Narnia scene.

LEGO IDEAS - Vincent van Gogh: The Starry Night
This makes me very, very happy. I’m from the Netherlands and Van Gogh is (obviously) one of our most famous artists. Aside from that, the building techniques of the painting look fascinating. A very inspired and promising choice!

Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Universal acts like most producers of entertainment do: the latest product is considered the most important. It’s unusual for brands to keep paying attention to older parts of any media franchise. Only Star Wars and Harry Potter really come to mind as exceptions to this rule. Marvel aren’t making (or overseeing other companies making) a lot of toys based on their earliest films at the moment. Universal, I think, is treating the Jurassic franchise quite similarly to the way most franchises are treated by most production houses. As for hearing how many sets had been planned for 2021 at one point: wow! Here’s hoping they will all come out sooner or later. I love the Jurassic franchise, and I can’t wait to see what will come in those sets. We can expect a few new dinosaurs, as there have been each year, so there is hope yet for some of the ones on everybody’s lists, I suppose.

LEGO IDEAS - The Medieval Blacksmith
Wow, the building looks amazing! I love what they’ve done with it. Here’s hoping we’ll soon see what minifigs and animals might be part of the set.

LEGO Store "Build a Minifigure"
Wait. Unique BAM cat? Seagull? I thought I followed this thread fairly regularly. Could you enlighten me, please?

Latest news about LEGO food
Oh! That new donut looks much better to me. The old one only really works on a white background (in my view, anyway). Thanks for this thread. Very practical way to keep up.

The minifigure Diary
Very sad to see you go. All this time, you’ve been a highly appreciated source of information and a popular member here. Thanks for sticking around as long as you have. All the best to you, and I hope sometime we may see you again.

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
None of the new waves have ever *completely* fallen into a two-film category, have they? There have been outliers every year since the theme restarted. Though, true, the main focus sure seems to be 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and now probably 7-8. The new Flitwick is a good attempt. Nice to have that beard in white. It could’ve been better, especially when it comes to the legs. Maybe they could’ve given him a ‘dress’ much like Yule Ball Hermione. Or included a green wizard’s hat. Still, the whole concept of the classroom books and the fantastic McGonagall figure are very promising! Here’s hoping this version of the theme will get to go on for a while yet.

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Everyone: thanks for the laughs! You’ve got me laughing with my wife over here. A dead Fred fig, naked Harry and Hermione... I love how this time around, we all realise we have very little to go on and we’re not taking things so seriously. As for the leaked McGonagall, she looks downright fantastic. A perfect match for the CMF Richard Harris Dumbledore. Let’s hope this bodes well for the new figs for 2021. Treat yourself to a butterbeer. Nice work, people.

End of an Era on LEGO CMFs reviewing for WhiteFang
A great pity, but thank you so much for all the work you’ve done over the years, WhiteFang. Your reviews were always the best, in my opinion. If I wanted to know what any of the individual parts of a figure looked like, yours were the pictures to check.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
As a theme park fan, I am very, very pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of the Galaxy’s Edge set. Wow! It works well with the Star Wars line AND it’s a decent fit with the two massive D2C Disney parks sets (even though it’s on a smaller scale). The inclusion of Vi, Bek and that astromech elevate it to something that Galaxy’s Edge lovers like me will want to grab right away!

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Thanks! Good to know. The side of me that has to grade academic papers for a day job appreciates your mentioning of two reliable sources.

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
So, just to check... Do we actually really, properly know a 400-dollar Harry Potter D2C set is coming this year? Like, backed up by someone like Falconfan? And what about that elusive System-scale set, that according to King No-Know was an underground something? Apart from what it is, do we know there will be an additional set?

Does anyone remember that old Lego Batman short?
It wasn’t LEGO, but Mini Mates. But it’s a while ago, and around the time that LEGO Batman began. So it’s an easy mistake. That is, I’m assuming you mean the video below?

Jurassic World 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Wow, thanks so much for this advice! I’m feeling very lucky to be living in the Netherlands right now. Also good news regarding JWD not being the last film in the franchise, I think. More films = more moments for LEGO to turn into sets. Think of all the dinosaurs we could get...! The whole idea of dinosaurs in LEGO has appealed to me since they started with the green T-Rex. The Jurassic franchise seems to have helped it develop further and further. Fantastic!

Jurassic World 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Wow! You’re in the Netherlands, aren’t you? Is that deal still available somewhere? I love that there are now other baby dinosaurs than raptors. Both the new plant-eating dinosaur infants are cute as anything! The Gyrosphere station is such a wonderful addition to a proper park... Seeing that we’re going to get this one, made me buy the Triceratops set from last year. Now I’m really hoping they’re gonna do more of these type of sets.

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
To the people wondering what those mustaches are doing there - weren’t mustaches typical features of the classic pirate minifigures? Looks to me like they want to honour that with these new XL ‘staches.

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
Oh my Jolly Roger! While it’s quite different from the original submission, I love this thing equally! The concept that it can be turned into a ship (and not just any ship) is a wonderful addition. All the callbacks to the Pirates themes of old are lovely. Whatever this turns out to cost (200? Ouch!), I cannot let this one sail away from me. I am suddenly obsessed with treasure...
