I think the UCS line should be geared toward the more bigger ships/buildings of the saga. So many other options could have been explored before doing a redo of an older UCS set. Here are examples from each of the movies. Episode I: Trade Federation Ship, Naboo Cruiser, Jedi Temple Episode II: Acclamator Star Destroyer, SPHA-T, Slave 1 Episode III: Venator Star Destroyer(my personal hope for a UCS), Invisible Hand, Jedi Temple again Episode IV: Sandcrawler Episode V: AT-AT, Cloud City Episode VI: Medical Frigate, Various Mon Calamari Cruisers There are even more possibilies if you include starfighters/smaller vehicles. (ARC-170, Eta-2s, A-Wings, Different Tie series, land speeder, AT-TE, RGS....etc.

I did not see a topic of this type in the forum when I went through the last few pages. Thought it might be good to start one, also I have a general opinion question that I would like some guidance in. And another that question regarding minifigs. I am going to the Lego store today and leaving with a set, either from LOTR or The Hobbit. Budget is 0 - 100. I dont know which set to get. As of right now I only own Helm's Deep, two Uruk Hai Army, and the Elrond figure. Any ideas, I am kinda at a loss for which set to get. Each one has its perks and I certainly like most of them, but none particularly jumps out at me. With regards to minifigs is there a difinative list of the minifigs that have been released from this wave. Prefferably with pictures. Thanks guys.

I collect both SW and LOTR. This announcement sucks. Would have much rather a had an Orthanc. TLG dropped the ball.

You know for a fact that there is a no compete license for LOTR. Just because Hasbro has it with SW doesnt me it is there for LOTR.

If it does, i think it will be something similar to the UCS SSD from the star wars line.

I know one thing about this wave. I will be getting ugh i mean downloading the stealth starfighter instructions, recreating it in LDD and making it the correct new republic colors then brick link. Besides that I might get the RGS if funds are available.

I thought TLG had only rights to the movies, not the books? If i remember correctly though the watchers were shown in ROTK game. Also concerning UCS sets, do you really not want huge ones like Minas Tirith? I think it is actually bigger than Minas Morgul, Going by the movies that is. It could be done in a manner of the Super Star Destroyer. No where near minifig scale, but an opening for a crucial scene. Such as when they are discussing what to do next after the Pelennor Fields. The Last Debate in the books. But in the movie it takes place in the Throne Room.

Highly Unlikely but not impossible. There are a lot of little builds that could work for an Advent Calendar and also it could coincide with the Release of The Desolation of Smaug. If they do release one I would get it. 3

Is there any good substitute for the white knive of Legolas/Do you think we will get them as a new mold? Also as there are a few 3rd parties that make custom lego weapons for the SW theme, do you think we will see LOTR 3rd party weapon makers?

Where do you see non TCW Phase II troopers?

This wave is looking more and more dissapointing. I am not interested in the Barge one bit. The AT-TE looks the same aestically speaking, the RGS just looks like a combo of the first and second. Only think that i am interested in right now is JEK's ship. Oh well more for the LOTR wave.

Barad Dur could have great minifig selection. You could have the scene of the last alliance of elves and men. Minifigs such as orcs, Elendil, Isildur, Gil Galad, Sauron, Numenorean Soldier, Elf Soldier. There are plenty. In fact that is the only set I could see to include Sauron.

I really hope for this Orthanc UCS set. There are sooo many Architectures that can be explored in UCS hopefully we see all or most, but my wish list would be in this order. Minas Tirith, Minas Morgul, Argonath, and Barad Dur assuming Orthanc is made. With reference to the summer sets, I will be getting the black gate, wizard battle, and corsair ship. I hope for a new mold for Anduril for Aragorn. It was in that promo picture when the wave was annouced but who knows.

Im going to gues he is a cloned JEdi Knignt. That would be an interesting story.

It looks like TLG just took the design for the E-Wing and made it for this. Tooks some creative license with EU stuff kids have probably never heard or seen and made it there own.
