  1. My Lord I present to you one of the entrances to the black citadels of Azgareth. The citadels are built into the mountains themselves. The black company on parade
  2. I think that we should have a great Library of Avalonia in our glorious capital, a public building where we can keep the sacred texts and histories of our great realm, both a testament to our engineering prowess and wealth of knowledge! I would love to volunteer to build one, however, it would be in black, which will contrast very badly to the excellent mocs i have seen thus far. Does anyone else like the idea and wish to take up the build? Probably something grandeur like this would be amazing and really emkphazise our culture and guild power. http://www.gameguru.in/images/civilization-great-library-1.jpg
  3. It occurs to me I havent yet requested land. I would like to formally request the areas surrounding my watchtower (no.23). I have named the area the Obsidian Pass, the settlement that resides there is called Azgareth. The inhabitants are known as the Black Company. It and most of my mocs are not going to be built in the typical Avaloanian architectual style purely because they have existed long before Avalonia was united by Artorious. As the thread suggests we are the youngest guild, therefore it would be that before we were united many different styles could have exisited, especially in very geographically distinct places. The area is has vegetation up to the ranges, however, the mountains themselves are void of tree's and srubbery. The Pass is a vast source of Obsidian stone which is a perfect place to find and mine Dark Iron. The tops of the mountains are usually covered in snow, and there is a river that runs through the pass from the north and a couple of very nice and large waterfalls into a beutiful crater lake, that a river then runs from down into Avalonia. The structures that reside in the mountians and passes were built by a Clan long ago wiped out. Most of the structures are adonred in statues of what appear to be tall dwarfs, until the historians reveal otherwise we can assume these were statues of the original creators of the pass. There is not much history regarding those who built the Pass as it was lost to the world during a time of great darkness. I believe there is a historian working on this now who will soon submit the histories of this region. I would also like to request that the map for this region be updated as below: To include mountians surrounding the right of the lake (yet to be named) instead of the great wall. Is this possible? I am working on a history for my region, company and style which I will submit when finished. As with my tower, most of the mocs will be black stone in nature ( I have to work with the current bricks that I have, nearly all which are black for some reason and perfect for dark stone structures), I have ordered a large quantity of the 1x1 round plates in black from bricklink as I am planning future mocs to have the similar building trait to that quickly being adapted into the mocs of Avalonia, (Derfels stacking style). These come cheapest from Belgium and Austria and take weeks to arrive in Australia, hence I did not have any for the first round competition. For some reason the images did not hold in the post, I am hoping they have held now.
  4. I have fixed the link, it appears to be working for me now.

Guildsman of the Realms of Historica I present the Masons Tower. Built by the original founders of the Obsidian Pass now known as Azgareth. I would suggest that the 2 rooftop statues possibly honor the builders of the tower or possibly two famous lords. not much is known about the Black Miners who originally created the Obsidian Pass and most of its wonders, other than they were all slaughtered a long time ago. The Current Inhabitants of Azgareth are the Soldier War band known as the Black Company.
  6. My Lord and fellow Guildsman, I am pleased to present The Masons Tower. Built to honor the Black Miners who originally inhabited the Obsidian Pass, now known as Azgareth.

I love this Tower! Its more than a defensive piece of brick, its a testimate to engineering and a symbol of your clans opulence and skill, well done!
  8. This is excellent! I love the town below in mini scale to show the height and I especially love the balcony on the cliff face! Very well done!
  9. This is excellent! I love the trap being sprung idea! well done
  10. I love it! Very beautiful and simple, well done!
  11. Nice work on those renders, they all look pretty sweet! Plus I love the colour change from the typical whites, reds and golds that have been used in the castle themes recently.
  12. My Lord My scouts have just viewed quite an impressive Dragon with a werewolf riding it! On this subject, what are the "rules" regarding mythical beasts? I know the guilds have decided very minimal and weak gun power is ok to keep things under control, what about beasts? Can we have dragons and serpents and gryphons and whatever else we desire?
  13. My Lord Our first Heavy Ballista is ready for deployment. The ballista is a fixed Poisson, rotation design. This allows it to track our enemies from a safe firing position before unleashing the massive bolts upon them. More photos here: My tower that I will be submitting will not be the Obsidian Tower featured on my Flickr page. My tower is nearly ready I am just hoping that my order from brick link arrives before the 15th so i can replace certain parts to bring it more inline with the Avalonian architecture.
  14. American Avalonians, While trawling through eBay for cheapish lots of bricks I came across this: http://www.ebay.com/sch/racestuff4sale/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg= Seller only ships to the US but some good castle focused lots in that collection! Thought it was worth sharing, unfortunately Australia is not a state of the USA yet. lol
  15. My mind = Blown! I was lost at the part where you said lego room, am I correct in understanding that you have devoted an entire room of a house to lego, because that is somewhat expansive and awesome!!!
