TTCE: German Freight Shunting
First post updated with new brighter pictures, the same will go with my other entry in the other thread.

TTCE: Small Engine Shed
ENTERED I actually did this one as more of a side entry to compliment my other one so it isn't as well detailed as most of the other entries, but I still like it enough to post it. The shed actually let me use an abundance of pieces that I didn't want to use elsewhere, so I managed to use three of my several Dark Bley 6x28 train bases that I got from the Hobby Train set as the roof. Even if the shed is a bit on the small side, it manages to fit the smaller engines with ease. Again, great competition, and congrats on the winner.

TTCE: German Freight Shunting
ENTERED After weeks of waiting, I got the parts for my entry in. the sad thing was my printer broke a few days before, so no decals for me. Anyway, here's my entry. I got the idea based on the 80's 12V starter sets (7735 comes to mind), but with a more modern and adult styled train with few studs visible and various techniques that are rarely used (Plate-built Boxcar doors, for example). The engine, based on a small German Shunter, has doors which open to reveal the engine compartments on the sides. The gondola had opening doors as well, and features a coal releasing gimmick comparable to the coal car from the RC Cargo Train. The Refrigerator Car is my favorite part of the set, as the corrugated sides and opening doors pop out, bringing a nice texture to the car. This tanker car contains the motor, which can lead the train to go rather fast due to its low weight. It was originally going to have a set of Esso stickers on the sides, but said to say, my printer broke. A picture of the whole group together, heading out from the Depot to load off on the next stop. This was a fun build to work on, and this contest has led to a lot of interesting entries to come about. Good luck for whoever wins the contest!

Movie you liked but most people hated...
I felt that "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" was an enjoyable cinematographic experience that does not deserve the hate that it receives. To get that out of the way, I actually liked Cloverfield, even if it was panned for it's shaky camera and silly acting.

TTCE: Sante Fe Freight Train
It's a bit on the short side, but a little longer would be good. Foot placing like the BNSF GP-38 to make the Locomotive 8-wide would add to it, as the crew would use this to get from the end to the Cab in front. The top headlamp shouldn't stick out that far and should be embedded into the loco also like the BNSF. If you are going for 8-wide, then you should make the engine longer to get the proportions right. I hope to see what improvements come from this and good luck!

MOC: Mobile Stage
You need a roof for this baby, it's the one thing that I'm not liking about it. All of it is looking good so far, but unless the car is intended to carry rain water it's gonna need a roof.

Ideas for 10199 Winter Toy Shop add-ons
We need at least a 1800 styled Horse Drawn Carriage for this set. It would add to the set so well with a few extra passengers.

Thinking Outside the Boxcar
I designed a yellow Boxcar for the contest coming up, but I can't show any pictures of it yet because the parts haven't arrived. It features brickbuilt doors and SNOT techniques on the sides. Most of my inspiration from it came from James Mathis, who designs some pretty good 6-wide trains (though some of us know that already ).

Train Parts Needed for Pick A Brick
I think part 6583 needs to make a comeback, as it used to be on LDD until the 2.0 update came around and wasn't available.

Train Tech Building Contest
For section 1, is it allowed to have a small station platform or loading dock similar to most official Lego sets like in set 7735?

TTCE: Dark green Diesel Shunter
A very nice Locomotive, and an even better first entry! The design does reminds me of the engine from 4564 Freight Express, with the similar shape and the way the roof is constructed. Good luck!

TRAIN TECH Registry
For a long time, I was infatuated with trains. The mechanics of their designs intrigued me even when in Preschool. When I first saw pictures for 4559 Cargo Railway I was intrigued. I asked my parents for it back in 1996 for ages, but it was too expensive back then. For Christmas 1997 I was surprised: I didn't get it but instead I got 4565 Freight and Crane Railway (Which I learned later picking it up with a transformer is more expensive than 4559 ), a set of points, and an extra set of straights. Enter 2003: I have acquired several trains and motors, another 2 sets of points, the Cargo Train and Railway Express sets, with a couple My Own Train cars. I make my trains, change them around, and the rest. Near the next year I grow tired of my trains and put them in a box with some other sets. Around 2007 pictures of the Hobby Train show up and is released in April. I pick up two sets of it and start building, getting back in my train groove. An eBay purchase of a Metroliner and I'm head of the rails again! I was amazed when the first pictures of the Emerald Night came out and I still want to get it! I might go and make one of those sprite compalations of what sets I what sets I own.

MOC - 1930s? posh two-seater car
Why change the colors? It looks fine in black, even if you were going for a different color. It looks fantastic for a 4-wide car as well.

MOC: Classic Cattle Car
You could try building a ramp that leads down into an enclosure like the classic Lionel Cattle Car's, except that it wouldn't go in a circle back into the car

10197 Fire Brigade
I actually might pass up on this one for now, as I've already built a Fire Station for my city a while ago in modular similar to this and I need to save up on cash for other purchases. I might pick it up later for the parts later, but it does look good! I wonder what the ping-pong table is like.

What is the Classic Town style?
What you really need to know is how are you planning this out. Do you want tiled sidewalks or sidewalks from the baseplate? are you using gray roads or Green with gray pavement? Do you want open back buildings or closed back buildings? The choice is all up to you. It's your city, build it how you choose.

E3 Sony stuff
Instead of having a thread about one single company, why not have it be a general thread with stuff from Microsoft and Nintendo as well? Also FF XIII Does look pretty good.

Transformers
A lot of cool news from Botcon, looks like Animated will have a few more waves of figures! The new ROTF Figs sound good (Movie Lockdown, Bludgeon, new scouts, Dirge), a Drift figure, MP Skywarp being released in the US, and Punch/COunterpunch TFCC Exclusives! I can't wait to see pictures!

Thanks, I have some worries ordering from foreign countries after getting scammed on a purchase last year . I'll probably order from him later.
