I disagree. 1. I think that the Lieutenant is dead; otherwise he would have fought Amon IMO. 2. I am not sure what happened to Hiroshi. Did Asami kill him, or did she turn him over to the police? Anyway, he may not come back. 3. Amon's still being alive would not make the scene pointless, as the point of the scene was Tarlokk's sacrifice. That still stands, even if Amon is still alive. 4. I don't think that the Equalists will come back. The movement was a quasi-faith in Amon; he was their symbol. I doubt that they would simply re-organize under a new leader. Amon was the Equalist movement. 5. I guarantee that we will see Korra in the Avatar State more in Season 2.
