I considered the new gray is bluish, maybe blue patches fit it, so I tried on. another example the creation I tried on the blue patches on the gray tower. The large version of Tower of Protector is working in progress, and extra structures will be considered.

Perhaps my rooks are too big (especially the top of the rook), however, the larger base (6x6 studs) makes it more possible for delicateness. In fact, the chrome gold/silver parts are made by gold/silver plating. Another example from tiger's idea: BS gallery Topics 1 & 2 in TWLUG forums. The light yellow bricks are from Enlighten. Also the ship is made by Enlighten bricks. The color is significantly different between LEGO and Enlighten yellow bricks.

tigerggyy (tiger0207" on Brickshelf) comes from Taiwan, and he is a member of TWLUG. Here is his profile in TWLUG forums. His another blog I thick, in playing LEGO, he belongs to a league of his own.

Your TT French cuirassier is very beautiful! *y* I love the boots and especially the helmet! :-D By the way, I think the parts of the classic fireman minifig, not only helmet but also torso are good to be military uniforms. Here comes an example I made:
