  1. This rare piece. I needed some bricks for a moc ;) http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=6964-1&name=Boba%20Fett's%20Slave%20I%20-%20Mini%20(Kabaya%20Box)&category=%5BStar%20Wars%5D%5BMini%5D%5BStar%20Wars%20Episode%204/5/6%5D#T=S&O={}
  2. Thank you! The LL version uses 2x2 tiles for the grille. I'll post some pics of my version when I get around to it - working on a project ;)
  3. mortesv replied to ACPin's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very clever! Tatooine, ISD + BR next! :D
  4. I want one :) Nice indent technique. Do anyone know the exact dimensions of an eagle? Considering building a UCS style minifig scale version.
  5. I know that one - I thought we were discussing official TLG sets :)
  6. Just had thus discussion about UCS sets the other day. Regarding all sets, most Rebel Capital Ships hasn't been done. None of the Mon Cal Star cruisers Medical frigate Rebel transport All these are very organic and do not lend themselves easily to lego - especially when play features are taken into account. Another reason could be that TLG thinks these ship do not have broad recognition among its customers. Everyone knows what a Star Destroyer looks like, but only hardcore fans can recognise a Mon Cal ship - let alone tell the different sub-designs them apart.
  7. Just be clear the version in thus thread is the old one - I have done a complete and larger redesing. That is the one people are building :)
  8. I have found out that the UCS that tend to bend needs to be displayed in their alternate position about half the time. So every week/month you should change sides of the B-wing, the shuttle in landing position and and any other model you find is prone to bending warping. The worst offender is still the old ISD 10030 - that model requires an additional leg to stand on. If you didn't do that mod the model would look like a melted popsicle within a week :)
  9. Looks like a reasonable mod ecmo. When I change a greeble I could use a more sturdy back section :)
  10. Obvious sets we haven't had yet: A-Wing AT-AT Landspeeder GR-75 Nebulon B Mon Cal. Star Cruiser The only larger OT Rebel ship we have gotten is the Corelian Corvette. The other ones seem to be too hard to create while being sturdy enough for TLG's standards. The same goes for a potential UCS AT-AT I think. The Landspeeder would be obvious, but perhaps it is too small to get an UCS treatment. This leads me to the A-wing. Why we haven't already gotten it, I do not know. However, I think we will probably get a new Blockade Runner. The old UCS version was very large, but woefully disproportionate and bulky. The large play set, that came a few years later was much better, but a bit too small to be in the UCS league. The Blockade Runner would also fit very well with the 40 years anniversary - but so would a new Falcon ;)
  11. Very detailed, yet very clean! At first, I thought it was Larry Lars' version - which I have a copy of next to my AT-AT, but then I saw the excellent, smooth brick built wings. I looks pretty sturdy, the question is - how sturdy is it? :) The problem with the, otherwise excellent, Larry Lars version is that it is a bit flimsy, but you seem to have captured approximately the same level of detail without compromising structural integrity. Top job! :) Regarding the radiator - you could have a look at the LL version. I do not know if it will fit, but that has more width. Do you happen to have an LDD? ;)
  12. Very nice! I have done something similar, but smaller with the 10188 conference room :)
  13. Thanks for the blog post BEAVeR! YAY! And many many thanks for all the kind words, you make me blush :)
  14. Yay! I had been so busy tweaking, I had not seen this! Thank you BEAVeR!
  15. Very smooth design and great poctures! I never considered how hard it must be to see anything in that cockpit :) What is the dimensions of the model?
  16. Look awesome, so many layers! How did you pull off those micro ships? :)
  17. @Sethra looking great! Regarding the stand, perhaps there is a plate difference from mine, but I have the weight fairly even distributed between the two foremost legs. But perhaps that it just because my model is old amd has settled down :) Anyway, how did you attach the stand to the liftarms? It looks quite nice but I can't see the connection. @ecmo, as far as I remember the thin liftarms are required due to the wall of the bottom engine section. @Ivassa, the .6 stud makes no real difference. Just use the cheaper version. I did not think of the price because I had some 4095 lying around when I began building, but when I suddenly needed more, I started using the cheaper slightly shorter version :)
  18. Excellent micro fighter design! The amount of detail crammed in is impressive I would consider the engine configuration though - there are seven engines :) And perhaps a medical droid would be a more appropriate minifig? :)
  19. Another TNG beauty Jim, well done! You should build the entire bay :)
  20. It is pretty sturdy, no worries :)
  21. Long time no see! Looks great vc! Two questions, are you done with the design? Have you designing a sturdy skeleton? Can't wait to see more pictures!
  22. That SNES is cool! But please build the Falcon again :) I think the guys means the vents (solar panels)
  23. This ship it going to be epic! However when designing large ships in ldd it can be easy to forget the weight of the bricks. I recommend you reinforce the skeleton substantially. The 10030 skeleton is not really strong enough for the 10030 itself, so you need to make it stronger. I also suggest you put more feets under it. Please keep updating this thread with new pictures! :)
