  1. Looks great I just hope you don't think I'm copying when I post background for one of my characters (I have a similar composition of adventurers )
  2. Hiya battle_gorilla, As far as I know, - it's fine to build the previous challenges as free builds, they just won't be awarded any points or prizes. - For free builds customisation is fine, but challenges may have restrictions on what can/can't be used. - As long as you post up your avatar to the specifics in the first post, you can then afterwards change it's outfit. I'd suggest keeping same head/hairstyle though, unless you have some different heads that look similar just with different expressions. Speaking of... I really should get mine posted up. I have the pieces I've been waiting for, just haven't had the time. And, hopefully someone else will clarify what I've said just to make sure
  3. Might I slip in while the door's open? I am awaiting a delivery before I can post up some figs. (The one I have (The Wanderer from the gladiator games) is currently sidelined for a story which will tie in to other stuff ) *wave*
  4. The second row look to be genuine, or the best imitations fo the lot. But, I checked a brick that I had to hand and it had a stud similar to the 1st, 2nd and 4th bricks of the lower row, so I figure that those are all real ones. I imagine that the 3rd brick is proper too. Top row, definitely all look imitation.
  5. Maybe there's a limit on pinned topics, so when the MOC Index went up, Kaliphlin had to go? (/jk)

Wow, great job Angeli I have a good idea of why the Wanderer is fire proof, and fighting using either hand is relatively easy. Now I need to figure out how to make a minifig that looks like Thraxus (and ask Thrash if it's okay) to use him in a moc or viginette
  7. Possibly different to what was asked in this thread but some of the replies *might* be useful?
  8. Storel replied to Angeli's post in a topic in Guilds of Historica
Well, it is a Matriarchal society (if it's like D&D) so if a female tells you to do something, you do it
  9. Nice review I have no memory of these guys , granted I was 9 at the time, I have a fairly good memory for things (most of the time).
  10. Opera Phantom Torso: Tuxedo Legs: Black Face: 1/2 white half-mask, 1/2 serious expression Hairpiece: Dastan style hair Accessory: Rose or Manuscript
  11. Fair enough then Perhaps change the title to Guilds of Historica Introduction/Sign Up and Discussion Thread then?
  12. Storel replied to Danger19's post in a topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've started saving mine. Was quite thrilled the other week when I discovered an old stamp card with 5 stamps on in my room. I went and got it converted over to my VIP card and got 75 points
  13. Wasn't sure where/who to ask this and didn't particularly want to start a new topic, so apologies that it's somewhat OT (and if it needs moving or whatever, that's fine ) I know each guild has their own maps, but is there a map of Historica as a whole? Also, a question for those in charge/in the know; Is it alright for guildless wanderers like myself to post MOC's and are there any restrictions? (I know Angeli's thoughts on the Gladiator Games, but was curious on others opinions. I imagine not being able to enter competitions like the Watchtower/Embassy ones; to be one restriction, but I'm fine with that) And also an idea, from my posting here, would a sticky thread for general Historica discussion/questions work? To avoid posts like this taking threads OT and from cluttering up the moc area? Just a thought.

Probably not historically accurate, but for sailors on my IFS, I used the red and white striped with a blue waistcoat torso, and I think it works quite well.
  15. Oh how I wish I had the time/space/money/lego to be able to do something like this. This is just so fantastically awesome!
  16. Storel replied to Brick Miner's post in a topic in Community
Storel comes from my first Live Action Roleplay characters name, and he subsequently found his way into other RPG's and stuff. If it hadn't have been Storel, I figure my screename woulda been from my Age of Empires days; Danthered. Dan because it's my name, red because it's my favourite colour*. *Despite the fact that I wear black most of the time (and no I'm not a goth, emo or anything, it just goes with the job and the college course)
  17. Are you actually trying to order the parts from Lego? Quite a few of those parts are actually on the online PaB, so I was just curious as to why you needed ref codes? Also, on the online Pick a Brick, each element has the Design ID (which is the same for each element of that type) and Element ID (which is different for each colour of that element) (And yes, I realise I repeated much of what Bearded Castle Guy said, but I didn't fully understand what he said when I was typing my bit until I finished ) Anyways, hope this helps a lil'.
  18. I discovered this evening that one of the BURPS from "King's Castle Siege" is ever so slightly misaligned on the back, so that and another BURP won't fit flush against each other if placed back to back. Vaguely annoying, but meh.
  19. Nice moc. I too like the mushrooms, but what set/line are they from?
  20. Storel replied to Helfy's post in a topic in LEGO Pirates
That is one of the drawbacks with that torso, although in "Sharpe" Sharpe himself had a red sash IIRC.
  21. Storel replied to Sebeus I's post in a topic in Pirate MOCs
Hmm, on that 'disasterous ship' what I reckon the problem is, is the main mast. It just looks so out of place compared to the rest of the ship; which I actually like I think if you could replace the sand yellow pieces, it would look a lot better
  22. Storel replied to Helfy's post in a topic in LEGO Pirates
Fair enough When I saw the torso for Garmadon the first thought I had was 'Rifleman', and then when my mum saw it she thought the same (both fans of 'Sharpe' )
  23. Storel replied to Angeli's post in a topic in Guilds of Historica
Suffering from amnesia, 'The Wanderer' arrives in search of what was forgotten, will he find on the dusty ground of the arena in the heat of battle? Or afterward will he wander on, none the wiser? (As a result of Angeli's post here and here.
  24. Storel replied to Helfy's post in a topic in LEGO Pirates
For the riflemen, I'd suggest the Lord Garmadon torso from Ninjago, without anything covering it it looks quite like a rifleman's jacket, although it's black and not the dark green that would be preferable. Umm... here we go Lord Garmadon scroll down for the better pics of the torso.
  25. Hey Angeli, (woulda sent this by PM but it wouldn't do it) Just wanted to check a few things before I make any new posts/threads. Basically, my Wanderer has amnesia, which lasts mostly until I work out which guild I want to be in? Whilst I can't enter events like the embassy build, things like the Gladiator games are okay? Umm, anything else? Also, I made an avatar and a small story scene, although I might have to retake the photos at some point. The Wanderer Cheers for the fun idea, Storel
