  1. I want one

So I got married about a month ago and decided a groomscake was a good idea. A groomscake is a tradition mostly practiced in the southern US. But i'll be damned if I let a little thing like me living in California stop me from having one! The tradition typically represents a cake that is themed around hobbies of the groom. I decided that I was going to make my wedding party in Lego and throw in some SW themes. Yes it is actual cake and yes it was eaten during our reception. I did have some casualities though, someone stole an Ewok. With out further ado, here are pics: Link to Photos

So far we have seen bps launched in matched pairs. I could see a Ep 2 Clone BP, I just don't know what they would pair it with. We already have had a Battle Droid BP. They could launch another however after the first BP, the MTT, as well as all of the Battle Droids that we appear to be getting in the clone war kits I don't think it would be a big seller. I can see people buying loads of Hoth BPs, especially since they revived 7666 due to popular demand. In the end I believe that the Hoth kits would make more at this time. It is after all about sales. That could be a possiability to go with the Ep 2 Clone BP, although I don't know how big of a seller it would be. The Geonosian's were only in one movie and really they weren't even shown all that much. I don't see Ewoks/Scout Troopers yet, we havn't seen them for a long time and I don't know if there is enough a buzz for them yet.

We usually see BPs in January. Although with the rate that 7666 (Hoth Base) sold I wouldn't be surprised if we saw two Bps that involved Hoth Rebels and Hoth Snowtroopers. Time will tell though

Based on this image from the new Death Star: We know that we are getting a new color schemed Tie Adv. I have seen many complaints about the old black and blue color scheme. This Tie also seems much smaller then previous versions. Do you think that the black and grey model is much better then the old black and blue and if so would you buy another round of Ties if they were in this new color scheme as well as this new scale? I like both the old color scheme as well as this apparent new color scheme. I also like this scale since I have always seen Tie Fighters as bare bones stripped down fighters that are useful in "swarming" an enemy I think the smaller scale better represents this compared to the old Ties that were the approx. the same size as the X-wing (wookiepedia lists the length of the Tie/In at 6.3m while the X-Wing was at 12m). I would buy and welcome some re releases in this scale and coloring.

*THIS IS ALL SPECULATIVE* If I am reading the fuzzy writing correctly it looks like there are 204 pieces in the HSD, There are quite a bit of minifigs and prices has gone up lately, I would expect the price to be either $19.99 to $29.99 USD Twilight doesn't have a piece count, however it doesn't look that big, but with lots of greeblies, There doesn't appear to be any exclusive figures to the Twilight only so I'm going to vote for the price being somewhere around $29.99 to $44.99 USD Thats kinda a large range but with out clearer pictures it's hard to tell exactly how large it is.

The Homing spider Droid looks great! I like the twilight for this reason, It looks like crap! The ship it self not the necessarily the lego set, but looking through the fuzz it appears that they took a bad looking ship and greebeled it quite a bit, which is great not just for parts but a nice trend to see. Does anyone else peer through the fuzzy image and see that the the amount of pieces in Homing is somewhere in the 200s and the Tilight doesn't look like it is much more if not the same.
  8. They look good so far. Although it is hard to give useful feedback untill the wings are on the pylons.
  9. I have mine set up 3 legs set up next to my AT-ST progression (from UCS down to mini)
  10. Redesigned Cantina/Jabba's Palce anyone? I hope that they include preliminary model designs too.
  11. Nothin as I said I like it, this is why I don't really post mocs, mostly because I am so nitpicky (perfectionist) about them.
  12. It isn't the pylons that look off for me it is rather then solar panals on the end of the pylons. Maybe it is based on the rake of the wings. I am going off of this schematic: Once again, these are very minor. Overall I think the model is fantastic.
  13. Are you planning to incoporate a stand again for v2/3? Personally my favorite feature of the 10175 was the fact that Vader's Tie was removable from the stand. From most of the reference pics Here for the Tie/D your wings actually look very tall to me. I would also beef up the cannon's on each of the 6 wing tips and move them to be on the interior of the wings tips if possiable, refrence pics make it look like there isn't a lot of stucture to them.

I made the mini V-19 last night using spare parts (colors are not perfect but it works ok) What impressed me most is that the rear swing down foil does so very smoothly. Otherwise it looks great. Brickmaster exclusives.....I hope they aren't the mini's but rather little mini-fig collector packs, I don't feel so bad when I miss those.
