Was in TW Sylvia Park this afternoon taking advantage of the sales and they were packed. The lady serving told me one customer spent $6k on lego after the discount - which one of you was it ;-)

Great to see some more activity on this thread again; I agree we haven't seen clearances down to that level for ages here. The LR silver mine warehouse clearance of 149 down to 99 down to 49 and then the 20% stacking on top to bring it down to 39 is amazing. A little broke now, but it will definitely help stock the bricklink store I've recently started :-)

Great to see a few more replies on this thread! I guess the lack of activity is reflective of the general lack of real clearance stuff we see here compared with Australia and the USA. Legoman, I saw some Colby city showdown on special in Toyworld up here in Auckland (30% off I think) but only in one - they weren't on special in the other branch I visit. Not bad but not a patch on the $28 they were on clearance for in Australia [turns green with envy...!]

The good news is the 20% discount on lego they have on this weekend stacks with the clearance price so they scan at $39.95 - I picked up half a dozen :-)

Yes, I was over in Oz recently and picked up a couple while I was there. Managed to claim the tax back on the way out so chucked them up on trademe.

I think this is the case - I ordered some stuff over the limit a couple of months back and wasn't hit with any extra fees. I've also just ordered 10234 using their VIP pre-order, pretty pricey (!!) but I just had to have it. Wondering if the pre-order means you can just order if earlier than release, or if it will actually be shipped early too?
