  1. As someone who is much much older than high school student, I would like to see it in real bricks; so far I'm following with an interest
  2. It ended so well, very original idea and I really like color sheme on cab.
  3. Well to be honest when I see title Lego set xxxxx - alternative or B model, who else could be than you (or @eric trax) lately. It remings me a bit on Mack Granite with snowplow (as Mack Anthem alternative model); but it looks like official Lego set
  4. There is just one universal joint (page 273 in instructions book)
  5. All those comments from @Seasider are actually true, but extremelly hard to achieve... about 15 years ago I wanted to make Mercedes 600 coupe (W100), but from same reasons (and some crises that I could not recover from them even tiday) that noticed by @Seasider I decided to abandon project. True today there is more parts, but chassis is somewhere collecting dust... But I'm still intetested how you will make your Bentley; yes some proportions are not ideal but detalis like front part are very very nice
  6. It is very nice model; as you said everyone likes it (until you need to visit petrol station) and literally undistructible because it is indeed ladder chassis with awd independent suspension with portal axles and huge V8. Design is evergreen, like ritter sport chocolate slogan: cube, practic, good. You made beautifull MOC once again.
  7. I suggest using Audi hubs instead of hub reduction because driver would turn in third streed after desired
  8. Actually it is very clean looking build and IMHO you made perfect front end.
  9. It is a theoretical chance, I just have to wait to solve one small thing (my revolving card that I used for paypal etc.is blocked.. )
  10. Yes, indeed, perhaps without V8 engine...4 years ago I thought about Landrover with this orange color and not that kind of green that looks like inspired by 4th horsemann from Bible...simply that gray something was not vibrant IMHO enough for adventure vehicle like Landrover...
  11. Insteadcof arguing, perhaps someone will make this B model... (At least color and wheels are suitable) https://www.motorsport-total.com/oldtimer/fotos-videos/fotostrecken/land-rover-classic-defender-v8-by-works-bespoke/12319
  12. I understand; time is always our biggest enemy... but as time passes by I keep wondering why did't LEGO introduce such tire pattern with Unimog set 8110. It is very cool model that you made.
  13. It is always nice to see some New Holland because blue MOCs are so rare. Indeed very hard choice. Both are nice.
  14. @eric trax and when we will see Hummer (H1 I suppose)?
  15. That could be one very original MOC, but what even more grab my attention is cute kitty (when I wait mine to return for supper?)
  16. Yes, but it is always welcome when someone posts picture because one picture is more valuable than 1000 words
  17. Crap, the way you present this build, you are constantly tempting me to build "my" version (probably smaller D9 with used - dark bluish gray tracks). Great to see you keep building Clive.
  18. I have several dark bluish 24 tooth gear and one red differential 4L that I bought after 2018 that have same slight smaller teeth
  19. You're wellcome; I have found out that by accident (I have miscalcullated studs and red differential that I bought in 2017 was rubbing on frame and dark bluish gray ordinary 24 tooth gear that I bought in 2019 didn't. Last year I boughtbone red differential (year 2020) and it didn't rub on frame where is no slot...so I remembered Chiron instructions discussion about it and test it... ...if you need one more old 40 tooth gears (black and red) work more smooth with 24 gears than new light bluish gray
  20. If you find it usefull, 24 tooth gears from 2018 are slightly smaller, so you don't need for example slots in frames like in frame 5 x 7
  21. Well, total torque on axle is about 106Ncm, so I think I'm far away from that situation...anyway I'm happy with simple amd very sturdy chassis
  22. Today I made chassis with live axles powered with coupled Large motors. I use 8 to 28 (red differential because I use at front 94.3 and 107 rear tires) directly from motors and 12 to red 28 tooth differential at axles...it seems that I have several generations 12 tooth double bevel gears because I found combination that runs very very smooth like daytona differentials. Did you have similar ecperience? I can't recall frpm what year are which because they are all black color...
