  1. No pictures yet, but I'll try and take the camera this weekend for STAR WARS WEEKEND!! It will probably be wall to wall people.
  2. Happy Holidays, from your local Mississauga, Ontario, Canada LEGO only store! There is a lot of stock available and it should be available right through until Christmas. So if you hear of people unable to find the LEGO that they are searching for, send them on down! Many sets are selling out at the major chains and even at the major web sites, but we are still well stocked with all the favorites - Sponge Bob, Harry Potter, Star Wars, TECHNIC etc. We are open Fridays 10am - 4pm and Saturdays 9:30am-4:30pm. Our big news for December is that Greg Hyland is coming to our store December 16th from 1 - 4 p.m. to create custom mini-figure drawings (free with $200 purchase) and sign Batman boxes. He will have copies of the AFOL #1 comic available as well. Greg is the artist who creates the comic strips on the back of Batman LEGO boxes and is the resident Star Wars comic artist on the Www.Fbtb.Net web site. December Theme Days (when we bring out some interesting items from the theme and ususally discounted items from prior years) are as follows: 1st/2nd DUPLO (and lots of neat stuff is out) 8th/9th is Star Wars (bringing out alot of our older stuff that people are probably hunting for) 15th/16th is Bionicle We also have Advent calendars and various Christmas sets. The 2006 Christmas snowflake should be in by December 8. It's a cool ornament made of transparent plates and bricks. It is really sets 8733/8734/8764 but sold for only $85 CAD instead of $105 for the three. Construction - 7905 Tower Crane - a very nicely done tall tower building crane. Exo-Force - 7713 Bridge Walker and White Lightning - a really big bad guy machine vs. smaller good guy machine with lots of light bricks/weapons Racers - 8682 Nitro Intimidator - a super charged up/modified truck Star Wars - 10174 UCS AT-ST - a nicely done large scale version of the AT-ST Star Wars - 10175 Vader's TIE Advanced - another large scale UCS model, but this time of the advanced TIE in black/grey Trains - 10173 Holiday train - a super cool push train. Engine, passenger, tree car, present car and caboose are included. It's over 45 inches long. Some 2007 items are available already (and won't be available from most stores until January or February 2007) Aquaraiders - 7770-5 - a cross between alpha team and the old divers series. Quite nice. 3. Just a heads up - we are still looking for 1 or 2 more AVID LEGO FANS, to help man our store. We changed directions slightly, to allow more 'fans' to work, without OVER WORKING. Only every 3rd or 4th Saturday is required, and we have one super employee already but need at least 1 more, maybe 2. So if you are close enough to Mississauga, ON, Canada and want to spend some time in probably the best stocked LEGO store in the local area, buzz me!!! PS: We also sponsored the local LEGO FAN display at the Hobby Show at the International Center in Mississauga, so head on down to check out some really nice displays. Always a good display, from many different builders.

These have been available for over a year, AND DO NOT BELIEVE THE CLAIMS IN THAT LISTING!!! """They are limited to only a few thousand of each under a special LEGO license, and are now sold out. """ Since I have bought/sold more than 1000s of each unit, I would estimate more like 100,000+ of each!!! They are official product for sure, made by the LEGO Writing Systems group, that usually does Pens, but also got into a variety of key chains, personally the MiniFig key chains are a bit more desirable, but at the right price, the LSW stuff is a good deal.
  5. And yet anyone who contacts shop@home, and asks about exchange, is assured that they will adjust things as new product is released, YA RIGHT!!
  6. Probably not worth the front page, for a local job add, BUT THANKS FOR ASKING! We are really hoping we can attract someone avid for LEGO vs just someone pushing boxes, we'll see how it goes. Thanks. MaS
  7. LEGO enthusiast required for part-time position in retail store in southwest Mississauga. Please send resume to jobs61@lastingtoys.com.

Sponge bob on sale - where?? I dont' see it on shop@home sales list.
  9. They are closing this Sunday, in ~2 days. So if you want any ExoForce/Bionicles BUZZ THEM, but that's about all they had left when I checked in with them.
  10. And you need to remember that all EUROPEAN prices, INCLUDE TAXES!!! While over here in USA/CAnada the Shop@Home prices do NOT INCLUDE TAXES. So knock 20-25% for VAT off the European prices before any comparisons and things are closer, not exact, but closer!!! FOR EXAMPLE USD Price $39.99 Euro Price €39.99 UK GBP Price
  11. ok, a tight box/with 12 elephant sets ships worldwide airmail for 16 USD. SO anyone who wants to do 24+16 = 40 USD, 12 elephants/walrus sets airmail, so around 2 weeks or so shipping I think. We can do ground for 10 USD as well.
  12. And I'll check how many fit for a .2Kg and .5kg parcel to get shipping rates as well, that's the best way to maximize units per shipping fee. Just gotta dig through alot of boxes to find them.
  13. Well the 1.50 USD price was based on me slapping a label on the box, say 2.00 USD and I can do a smaller quantity, that will cover counting stuff out of a case I guess. As long as we are doing batchs 10+ sized. On brickLInk our individual price will be more likely in the 3-4$ range.
  14. Did anyone notice there is no 'train engine/controller pack' like there has been for the standard 9V. Which means it's harder to get anyone with existing track/systems, converted over to the new system, and allow them to buy the new track, WITHOUT BUYING A BIG SET. So anyone with existing trains/track, has to invest in a complete new train to use the new track/engines right? Not quite what I expected, since I assumed they would have a controller/engine pack available to help people convert over. Heck you could mix old/new trains even with the old trains only capable of running on the metal track, but at a few switches the remote control trains could switch to an expanded track system, without problems.
  15. Pneumatic parts is the one thing we don't have any parts packs left. We used to stock the pneumatic part pack but I had to import those from Europe so kinda pricy now with the currency conversion diving the wrong way to get stuff cheap. The normal way now seems to be getting some of the pneumatic sets, especially if you want it quick. THere are various sets still available, but none are small I don't think. Sorry to say. And we do not at this time run a parts house/parts store, just sets.
  16. This may be like Thomas, where different companies/entities own the licenses in different countries/markets. And maybe the French owner of SB didn't want to sign with LEGO? Maybe?:
  17. As the subject says, 1.50 each, 400 per case so 600 USD. Just too nasty to ship one by one anywhere, but if anyone wants to get a smaller quantity I can work on a price. This price is basically "me slap label on box" price, ie no work at all. But I'll be listing them on BrickLink individually for a decent price too. I know lots of people with no access to the Life cereal offer (AKA ME EVEN!) so figured I'd spread these out to the far ends of LEGO collector world!!
  18. Only selling/shipping by the case, but I figure this way people can get them shipped cheap enough into the local area, resell/distribute them locally. Not 100% sure on shipping, but shouldn't be too bad.

  21. The interesting thing is here in Canada they are not letting us dealers sell it till August sometime. Buyers may find that they got the date wrong, or once the LEGO crosses the boarder maybe it takes some months to thaw out before they can sell it to us Northern neighbours.
  22. We are open for a boxing day sale (what is still unknown) on Dec 27th 11am to 3pm. And then for January and beyond we have to decide how we want to proceed. Probably open 3-4 days of the month, a few week days/weekends to let people still shop. If it seems there is enough business we'll open more and more as needed.
  23. And we have all the new 2006 first wave products in stock at the store now. Open Friday 1:30 pm to 4pm and Saturday (christmas eve) 10am to 2pm. So anyone unable to find the 2006 stuff and just dieing to get it give us a buzz and we'll set it aside for pickup. 905-823-4310.
  24. Basically you are asking to dump our BrickLink inventory, 1000+ unique items, kinda nasty to dump all that, but I can try and extract just the physical store stock ON DISPLAY, that's not a bad list. But anything people can request, and we'll price/pull it for pickup on a following day. That way they have full access to our inventory, just not browseable. But if you know what you want, we can check if we have it of course.
  25. Sorry for the late notice but getting it all ready took more than we expected. Address is 2410 Dunwin Drive, Unit 5, Mississauga, ON. Located just behind the auto mall off Dundas between Winston Churchhill and Erin Mills, north of the QEW Opening hours are Saturdays, Dec 3 & 10 10:00 a.m.
