Tamas Juhasz replied to Didumos69's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingGreat ideas, you became Eurobricks's sequential stepper developer. 42056 shifter mod will be more and more perfect.- [TC10] Backhoe
Tamas Juhasz replied to Lipko's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingStunning model, with lot of functions in a very well designed structure, congrats! I really like the front suspension mechanism. Good luck!- [TC10] Mini Underground Mining Loader

Tamas Juhasz replied to Tamas Juhasz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingFinally, I had some time to assemble and photograph this MOC. You can see the final result in the pictures. I'm glad I could find the required room for pneumatic tubing, works better, than I expected. Functions: - pneumatic bucket tilting - pneumatic bucket lifting - 4x4 drivetrain - 2 cylinder piston engine - HOG steering ... and some suspension (can be seen in the video), but it's not an actual function, just comes from the little felxibility of the structure, sometimes it's good, when it drives on uneven surface. I cut a simple video, you can find below the photos. I modified a bit IRL, compared to the LDD model, as always in LDD builds. The pump (compressor) is in the rear axle, so there is no unvanted torque, bending, and torsion, when you pump the pneumatic system. I was happy, when I found this yellow bucket, which fits perfectly in size and style. Maybe many of you recognized that I tried to use as many yellow parts, as possible, to give the "all yellow" look: Piston engine with two cylinders in the back: Universal joint for 4x4: Turning radius: Bucket raised: At the end, compared with a PP wheel and 42056 Porsche set: It's close to minifig scale: VIDEO: Comments, questions are appreciated, as always. Hope you like it.- [TC10] Mini Underground Mining Loader
Tamas Juhasz replied to Tamas Juhasz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThat will be the challenge :) But yes, I think I'll find the needed space for them, I design considering this from the beginning.- [TC10] Mini Underground Mining Loader
UPDATE1: Final photos and video can be seen below, like: .... Hi! I decided to make something for TC10 competition. My plan is an underground mining loader, like the ones from CAT, etc. Functions: - pneumatic bucket tilting - pneumatic bucket raising/lowering - manual steering - 2 cylinder fake piston engine - 4x4 drivetrain The progress looks like this, will be finished until deadline IRL, I think: More progress and real life pictures coming soon. Comments, questions are appreciated, as always.- Forum Upgrade
I tried with newest chrome, all the same, "message sent appears", but the message is nowhere. (I sent to you, Jim, again)- Forum Upgrade
Ok, thanks, maybe my message wasn't sent, although the "message sent" notification appeared. I try to send again. I sent you a test pm, too, and I don't see among the messages, like you. Nor my previous messages. I'm using firefox 38.0.5, can that cause the problem (older version)?- Forum Upgrade
Thanks for the asnwers. Shift+enter is very useful. You are right, never was, I remembered wrong, but in the old forum, when I sent a message, that appeared among the conversations. Now, I sent one today, and I can't find anywhere, I can't see, what I sent. ("message sent" window appeared) Maybe it's a bug, I don't know.- Forum Upgrade
I have many minor issues with the new forum, is there any guide, index, or something, where you can see, what has changed, and how to use the forum? The upgrade is still running, or is it finished? I see everywhere, in the new forum engine, mobile version was more important, and using the forum with desktop PC or Laptop became less comfortable, it seems to be now for me. Maybe if I could see, where can I find the functions, etc., I would feel the comfort of the old forum again. Currently, even for some basic functions I had to google and search for here and other topics, for half an hour sometimes. Two of my biggest problems: 1. Private messages. Where can I find the sent messages? Or outbox/unread? 2. Space between lines. Is there any way to change? If I type an enter, a big space appears between two lines. (sorry, if this question was before, but without index it's very hard to find solutions for a problem) Anyway, I'm really thankful all of the moderators, staff, for doing this in their freetime, I understand, we are forced to do the upgrade, I'm just can't use the forum as well, and comfortable, as the old one.- [PORSCHE] 962 C Le Mans racer in 1:8,5
Tamas Juhasz replied to Tamas Juhasz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHi all! I'm back in Hungary, everything went very well during the tour. I wrote, I'll post a report now or tomorrow - now I see, that's absolutely not possible. I took really lot of pictures which ones I have to edit, adjust from RAW, etc. We had an official photographer at 5th of october, during the whole day. He can send me the photos only at about 22 - 30 of october. So, I think, the whole report/review about the trip, about everything, would have been have sense to post after I got everything (photos), which is necessary for writing it. So, I'll make a topic and post the detailed report at the end of october. I want to give you a quality material, of course, in pictures and text (as long as my english allows). Maybe, until that, I'll post smaller things here, but the report definitely will get a new topic, that would make sense. I was very happy that after travelling 2000 km in total, the 962 C model had no damage. The packing materials helped a lot, by the way. : ) The exact same car (number 17 962C from '88) wasnt there (it's in the US currently), but we took photos with the 956 and some more famous racing types. Stay tuned, I'll write the report, as soon as it's possible, I'm waiting for the most important, mostly Lego related pictures, too. But, at least one photo, which fits to this topic: (Porsche Museum, digital wall, me and a photo from the same car - #17 numbered 962C)- Zero's workshop
Tamas Juhasz replied to Zerobricks's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI hope you'll find the job you deserved, matches for you. I'm partly in the same situation, so I know, how hard these times are. Good luck in search, as others said, sometimes it's more important to take time for other things than Lego, too. And I think, it's impossible to forget your work here.- [MOC] V8 32 VALVE ENGINE LEGO TECHNIC PART 1
Tamas Juhasz replied to Nikolay's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingYou managed an unbelievable amount of real engine's deatils both in looks and working. I never seen such a realistically functional one, in this relative small scale. My favourite parts are the working valves, for sure. I hope we will se one day this built in a (large ) car. Keep up the good work!- [PORSCHE] 962 C Le Mans racer in 1:8,5
Tamas Juhasz replied to Tamas Juhasz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThe trip is fixed, we got confirmation from Porsche, it will be at 5-6th of October. We start the yourney at 4 (one day drive in highway), and now it seems, the photo with original car is possible, or with a very similar one, one thing is sure: the official program shedule includes this: "Visit historical car archive and photoshoot with model and real car". We will have the opportunity to take apart in Museum tour twice, the second day without guide, in free. Big thumbs up for Porsche and TLG! I'll post the report of the trip about 2 - 4 days later, after we returned (7th of october). (Now this 962 model is in the HOF, thanks all)- Model Team or Special Themes/Creator forum?
Tamas Juhasz replied to brickphisto's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI agree with Tommy. There are quite a few MT and creator models/vehicles compared to technic ones. They are in many cases very hard to decide where to fit. Another thing against the separation that some of us build in both styles, or in all of them. These categories, the lines between them as far as I can see are nearly impossible to define properly. I think, until there are significant amount of MT/Creator MOCs here, it's unnecessary to place them in a subforum. (Anyway, Model Team for me just never had sense when it's about a Moc. There are models, fictional cars, vehicles, etc, or the mixture of both. Imho we should call Model Team only the official MT sets. The MOCs are simply models, like models from 100% technic parts. The difference is only the used techniques, when the functions are the same. If not, and the MOC has only a stering, then yes, it's a MT like creation) The separation of studded and studless body MOCs but with technic chassis, working parts, etc. wouldn't be good, too, I think. Older technic models had many studded parts, complete bodies from studful parts. Technic MOCs with studful, clean bodies are 100% technic themed in my eyes (only themed, of course, when we see the parts, they aren't fully technic). Even now we have signifiant amount of studful parts in official sets (like in 42056 Porsche - surprisingly lot of studful parts). (just my opinion )- [PORSCHE] 962 C Le Mans racer in 1:8,5
Tamas Juhasz replied to Tamas Juhasz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNo, I didn't, but in DHL you can ask for it. I think, it's unnecessary, next week it will arrive, as they wrote.- [PORSCHE] 962 C Le Mans racer in 1:8,5
Tamas Juhasz replied to Tamas Juhasz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThis one (Dokludi also showed, so yes, every winner receive that): And the package looks like these: Don't worry, I was informed to receive the package in this week, or early next week.- [PORSCHE] 962 C Le Mans racer in 1:8,5
Tamas Juhasz replied to Tamas Juhasz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThanks again guys! I received the package too, the big plexi display for 42056 is a fantastic surprise, it's the same in style, as the Lego set. We have a collection of model cars beside the 1:18 Norev 911, and we usually entrust one of our friends to make a professional display housing / showcase for unique model cars. But in this case this isn't necessary, nor for the die-cast model. Only failure, I think, was with the certificate, I found nowehere. Where were yours? In the top of the 42056's box? Maybe I missed something?- [PORSCHE] Porsche 935 Moby Dick 1978 by dokludi
Tamas Juhasz replied to dokludi's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingCongratulation, you really deserved the prize, awesome model in every way, both looks and functionality.- [PORSCHE] LEGO Technic Porsche of Your Dreams
Tamas Juhasz replied to CopMike's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingCongratulations to all the winners, and to the many great moc, which were made during this contest. I also think, all of the runner ups deserved the title. Some of us registered with different names than here, including me (Tamas90), but we can figure out, I'm sure. I was notified earlier, in 18th of August, and they did it well with this, a long waiting period would have been very frustrating. Now we are organizing the trip, it will be a two-day tour. Thank you all for the kind words, really appreciate it. I just needed a couple of minits to "understand" the content of the notification mail... at first look, it seemed to be a spam, as I didn't expected it before 29th of august, but even more grand prize. Just unbelievable with all these Porsche things at Stuttgart. I'm thinking about carrying the model (962C) to the museum, and if it's possible, take some photos with the real one, if that's there. We will see.- LeTourneau L-2350 wheel loader
Tamas Juhasz replied to Tamas Juhasz's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThanks all. @Jorgeopesi: yes, my goal was to make it relatively small, with 81,6 mm wheels. But among my plans, there is a 94,3 mm wheel variant, with realistic mechanisms.- [TC10] Ikarus 280 Non-Articulated Bus
Tamas Juhasz replied to josszo's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingMe too. You can set up in your profile, so others can see it.About the moc: interesting, I never saw such a great chassis and pneumatic system in Ikarus 280, good luck in the contest. You captured very well the proportions, too. Type 280 is really recognizable.- LeTourneau L-2350 wheel loader
Until the Maz 535 is finished, I'll present some of my MOCs, which are a bit older, but weren't publicized yet. I start with the LeTourneau L-2350 wheel loader, the largest in the world. I made a scale model, with PF IR remote. All functions are motorized: - Drive - Steering - Bucket lifting - Bucket tilting Except drive, everything works via strings and reels. This way it could be built in this scale, there is really a limited space inside, autovalves or servo operated penumatic valves with compressor aren't possible. Weight: 1058 g Top speed: 0,6 km/h Parts count: 680 Video: Pictures: Gallery: With blueprints: Feel free to ask or comment. - [POC][WIP] Compact 90° stepper w/ instructions
