[OFFICIAL] Pirate Quartermaster - Collectible Minifigure Series 27
Maybe I haven't been keeping up with this discussion but it seems the point has been missed. Nobody has complained about the number of female minifigures being released and demanded more male pirate minfigs instead. The argument was; there should be more variety in the female minifigs relevant to the Pirates theme, rather than just generic pirate after pirate. And perhaps some feel this way because the recent female pirate minifigs (released independently of sets) have all used the same tricorn/ponytail piece, attributing to this genericism. In my own opinion, the designers have succeeded in breaking the mould with the Pirate Quartermaster minifigure and delivered a refresher design. But what next for future pirate CMFs?

Unfortunately some regions... or countries, don't have LEGO stores so there's no choice but to buy the BAM minifigures in their default configuration.

[OFFICIAL] Pirate Quartermaster - Collectible Minifigure Series 27
I haven't been keeping up with Castle lately so your observation is probably more accurate than my assumption. More female CMFs in historical roles isn't the issue; like @thewatchman stated, it's more they're "generic pirates" rather than exciting archetypes relevant to the genre. That said, I don't think the upcoming CMF is generic as this one finally is venturing outside the pony tail in the tricorn mould.

[OFFICIAL] Pirate Quartermaster - Collectible Minifigure Series 27
Aye, Pirate Girl from Series 20 and two recent Build A Minifigure pirates as well. Indeed, we may be facing fatigue; it's not that we don't want new female LEGO Pirate minifigures, but we'd prefer a greater variety of female archetypes from the pirates genre. Governor's daughter is an obvious choice and we should have had one by now. Courtesan is perhaps to risqué for LEGO, but innkeepers and market vendors were quite common. Meanwhile, the LEGO Group is probably quaking in their boots for fear of reinforcing traditional gender stereotypes, even from a historical period in which they were more strongly enforced. So I'll inject a little creativity will put forth, harbour mistress - in charge of the entire harbour!

[OFFICIAL] 10320 Eldorado Fortress - Retiring SOON!
Good idea! I wanted to know so I had an official source to quote in a future blog post.

[OFFICIAL] 10320 Eldorado Fortress - Retiring SOON!
Thank ye, I did read that source which states: "However, LEGO has now announced the actual EOL date for the individual parts as December 3rd." So more precisely; my question is: where did the The LEGO Group state that? And I specifically mean via their official communication channels (E.g. LEGO.com, the official LEGO Instagram account, etc.), not on an AFOL site or profile.

[OFFICIAL] LEGO Icons 10335 The Endurance Ship released Black Friday 2024
I'll just remind the good folk this topic/thread is a discussion about the upcoming 10335 The Endurance Ship. If you'd like to discuss the manufacturing of counterfeit brands in China in relation to LEGO Pirates, I can move those to posts to the Knockoff/Clone/Imitation Brand Pirate Sets topic.

As per usual I'm nautical miles behind due to covering all the November 2024 releases... Where was the cut-off date officially announced as December 3rd?

A cockatoo? Interesting choice of avid for a pirate but will make a compelling backstory.

[OFFICIAL] THREE LEGO Pirate-themed sets announced for November 2024
I felt that way about the 2015 wave of pirate sets. There weren't any new concepts or significant innovations... they were designs similar what we'd seen before, only executed using contemporary building techniques. Really it's about playing it safe and doing what worked well in the past, hoping to achieve the widest appeal. That's probably enough for the casual consumer, but us long term fans want to sail into uncharted waters.

[OFFICIAL] THREE LEGO Pirate-themed sets announced for November 2024
On 31 October, 2024 5008945 Treasure Chest was announced as an upcoming Gift With Purchase. Then during the livestream for 10355 The Endurance, a couple more Black Friday sets, which may appeal to LEGO Pirate fans were announced, 5009045 Chronometer and 6550800 Barracuda Seas. These sets will be available as LEGO Insider rewards, so be sure to register for the LEGO Insider Reward Program to be eligible to acquire them, or access their official webpages. But here's a quick overview: 5008945 Treasure Chest Probably a touch large for your LEGO Pirates but you may like to have this sitting on yer shelf as a decorative ornament. The official LEGO.com 5008945 Treasure Chest webpage is available to LEGO Insider members. 6550800 Barracuda Seas A micro scale ship inspired by the Black Seas Barracuda. 5009045 Chronometer Long before GPS was a thing, sailors used timekeeping instruments known as chronometers, which were used to determine longitude by means of celestial navigation. ` The official LEGO.com 5009045 Chronometer webpage is available to LEGO Insider members in select regions. * all links to LEGO.com are official affiliate links provided for your convenience

Future LEGO Pirates Set Speculation
Next year is very optimistic! Going by your own 3 year estimate you shouldn't anticipate another Pirate Icons release until 2026, given that Eldorado Fortress was released during 2023, and Barracuda Bay during 2020.

[MOC] Steve Surprise
Well done! You've successfully created a MOC in less than 90 with around 50 part minutes which was the intent for the small building entries. Too bad the contest is over! So now you've left us on a cliffhanger - but is that a rhetorical conclusion or should we expect to see further adventures for Steve?

Real Life Forts in the Caribbean
T'would be interesting to see the type of forts you're envisioning... Forts generally aren't tall structures because that makes them easy targets prone to collapsing. But I'm yet to find one located in/near that Caribbean that looks similar to Cannon Cove. At the expense of digressing from the topic here be some real forts.... Fort Beekenburg – Curacao Castillo de San Marcos – St. Augustine, Florida El Morro Fort and Castillo San Cristobal Castillo San Felipe del Morro – San Juan, Puerto Rico
