  1. There have been several IDEAS sets that have reached 10,000 votes, not approved for and then introduced further down the road in different themes. Jurassic Park/ T-Rex Gingerbread House Ghostbuster's Firehouse. Monster Fighters Haunted House (???)
  2. Yeah, that;'s not going to make it. I hope he makes the LDD available. Is the cockpit canopy piece in existence?
  3. I am actually quite fond of Euclides Sector II (also from the creator of The Pirate Bay) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f4f93d41-e14f-457d-8adf-995afa9874fe
  4. Brick-built Mr Snuffleupagus or no sale!
  5. Monster Fighters is timeless, whereas Hidden Side will not age as gracefully. Also, I highly doubt Hidden Side will produce a set the same caliber as Haunted House or Vampyre Castle.
  6. My assessment of next round UCS Space Shuttle Atlantis -- City Space (also heavily NASA influenced) has not sold well. Thunderbirds Are Go -- I would love it, but too niche. Pursuit of Flight -- The most original project and originality points seem to count plenty in green-lighting a project these days . History Museum -- Every Creator Modular inspired project has, so far, been rejected. The Office -- An Office project was rejected in the previous round. While this is the superior build, the license is apparently held by a clone company. Medieval Blacksmith -- This could be to the Castle theme what The Pirate Bay was for Pirates theme. It's an impressive build but lacks the "Wow" factor. Winnie The Pooh -- Neat set that is only likely if new molds for minifigs can be avoided. NASA spacecraft -- Excuse my bluntness, but Real LEGO Space is boring. The Haunted Mansion 50th Anniversary -- It's a lovely project, but a set based on a fun park attraction is a bit too niche. The Seven Dwarfs Home -- I am truly enamored by this set, but it seems something Disney would resist. I wouldn't be surprised if it is released under another theme in a couple of years, like Gingerbread House and Jurassic Park were.
  7. Honestly, the last thing I care about in this set are the minifigs. As is the case of the Creator Modular sets, minifigs do not make or break the set. Besides for AFOLPs, minifigs should be the least of our concern, since we have so many stocked up. Is it possible to get a list of all his LEGO designs?
  8. I respectfully disagree on this point. Since we are not privy to TLG’s internal hurdle rates, we should never take that business side of things into consideration. TLG “in production” parts inventory is always in flux and the introduction of new parts, leads to new opportunities else
  9. The more I think about it, the more I believe there will be no ocean, like Old Fishing Store. I’m fine with that provided they retain the island shape It is supposed to look like a "big brown mess." However for a “big brown mess” the interiors are fabulous—better than any other pirate set— and the play features eg the hidden treasure are original.
  10. Fair point. I don’t think we’ll get a massive dark blue ocean baseplate, although the wharf/dock needs some ocean. The Sand foundation is made up of many pieces and looks very complicated, which leads me believe we’ll get a single large sand baseplate like Old Fishing Store. This would be disappointing as the “island effect” is part of its charm.
  11. Treehouse exceeds 3000 pieces just. That’s awesome if true.
  12. Which are the discontinued pieces? The dome pieces?
  13. Halo is deemed an inappropriate theme for the LEGO brand. Another project from the creator of The Pirate Bay ......wow, just wow. The Train Station: Studgate https://ideas.lego.com/projects/8345a6f7-adf4-4864-bae0-540717177c84/updates
  14. Can somebody please explain to me why Monkey King has appreciated in value so much, considering SERIES 19 has not been discontinued yet?
  15. Can somebody please explain to me why Monkey King has appreciated in value so much, considering SERIES 19 has not been discontinued yet? Sorry wrong thread.
  16. I supported it notwithstanding I am a rabid anti-Dentite.
  17. There was a Gatchaman IDEA projects that barely scrapped together 250 votes. The builds were average but minifigs were amazing.
  18. I am expecting something with complexity of Sanctum Sanctorum (76108), which is okayI guess. However, this set will live or die based on its minifigs.
  19. Gatchaman was a pretty dark anime, which was heavily edited when screened in the United States (under a different brand). I guess we should not expect TLG to be intimately familiar with every IP but yeah. I am guess they based their decision on the American show and not the Japanese original.
  20. Wow. I have it pegged between 2750 and 3250. I am using Ninjago Docks as my benchmark. While Ninjago Docks dedicates many pieces to re-creating water, I feel the structure of Pirate Bay is bigger and has more interiors.
  21. I already mentioned that it my original post. I am asking who are the TLG designers. 199.99 USD/EUR based on 21318 Treehouse which has a ~3000 piece count.
  22. I agree. The demographic of a prospective Sesame Street set is ill-defined, to say the least. It's going to be an expensive set, that's for sure.
  23. There's a The Office project in the next review period, as well? Surely, that has to be rejected, too.
  24. It is extremely unlikely they will add parts to the original project. If anything, the sand baseplate (which looks like it is comprised of multiple pieces may be simplified. What is the original piece count? I am guessing 2,000- 2,500.
  25. I’m still not trying to get attached to it, because I’ve been burnt by many IDEAS projects in the past being gutted by Lego designers: —Flintstones — Back To the Future — Caterham to name but three.
