  1. Hi all. I have a several lego train sets that really only comes out at Christmas time. I was rather lazy in cleaning it up this year, which eventually ended up leading me to this forum. Not being overly creative, I was wondering if one of you folks might have some ideas as to where I should put track down for my own layout. Here are the track pieces I have to work with. 11 – 4520 (88 total curves) 4 – 4515 (32 straight) + 6 additional straights from random starter kits (38 total) 2 – 4519 (cross over) 2 – 4531 (including the two curves that came in the box) 1 – 5439 1 – 4555 I have a couple other sets, but those are all of the sets that include 9v track. The stations I have are 4554, 4556, and 4557, and the trains I have are 4563 and 4561. So the question is, if you were limited to the pieces above, how can I design my layout? Physical space really is not an issue. Feel free to use Matthew Bates’ track designer and share the file here!!!! I’d really like to know what people come up with. Thanks!

Ok, so I’m rather new to this whole AFOL thing, and have spent the last couple months rebuilding the sets from when I was kid. Thanks to instructions being published on the internet, I have also been purchasing individual pieces off bricklink to build the sets that I never got as a kid, without having to pay exorbitant prices for buying them new today (it helps that the used pieces match my 10-15 year old collection). However, while the great majority of pieces are available, few if any stickers can be found. I am pretty much only interested in 9v trains at this point, specifically the <-> symbol, but probably some others as well. Is there a third party that makes these stickers, or has the ability to do so up request, or is this a copyright infringement? I suppose I am looking for something similar to brickarms (I think). Any ideas? As a second question, I’ve noticed Lego periodically “purges” its old inventory from its website in the form of rather large price reductions when they decide to drop a line of products. Any ideas when this might be happening to RC trains, specifically the station and cargo train? I would think within the next several months to make room for the new line, and I am sure some others are waiting in anticipation as well. Sorry if this is breaking any netiquette rules mods, I tried to find answers in the FAQs but got nothing Thanks Eric
  4. I had to register a screen name just to vote in this competition. Two excellent entries.
