Thanks! It would be great to see you build it. It's always fun to see my MOCs built by others. I hope you enjoy the build too. Thanks for the affirmation. I hope this continues to be something I am able to prioritize in my MOCs too.

Thanks again for the ideas, and happy new year to you as well. Yeah, I was hoping no one would notice the fact that I ran out of some parts in the colors needed. Still it was worth it to me to not have to make another purchase. The locking mechanism took some time to figure out. I'm at the point in my building where I am more interested in the control of the functions, rather than the functions themselves. Basically, HOG placement has become important to me. I'm glad you noticed.

[MOC] BMW 1250GS

Very interesting design. I can't quite figure out how the changeover works, so I might have to start building it, and see if I can figure it out. Did you use shock absorber springs on the 5L axles with stops? Also, is there a reason you used a green bar for the swingarm axle rather than an axle? Great job again. -
Sorry to bump this thread, but I was finally able to finish the original idea for the contest. It just took me a little longer than I thought it would. But thanks to @steph77, I was finally able to get the hooklift function to work the way I wanted. Anyway, this the Hooklift Truck. The cab is the same as the Tipper Truck, but the rest is unique for the truck. As always, instructions are at Rebrickable.com. The truck features: Steering on first and third axle with HOG Fake I5 engine with rear wheel drive. Hooklift with dump and hook function Hook and dump selection with HOG Dumpster slide with lock Yellow dumpster with rear gate White dumpster with crane Crane lift Crane reach Crane grabber Crane slewing Tilting cab Opening doors And a little video to watch me turn a bunch of knobs.

Nah, I think I could choose between a penguin and a dishwasher. -
I guess that's true, and you would have more information about how the teams/designers prioritize their resources. Sorry @kbalage, I didn't mean to call you out. Mostly I would be interested in a study of the correlation of new parts/new colors with future sets. Maybe I still feel burned by getting so excited about the future of purple due to 42069 and getting nothing since then. I hope 42201 is the start of more Sand Blue.

Thanks again for the review. With all the times we speculate if a future set is coming based on the parts that are included with a current set, it may be time to map this correlation. I understand the tendency to speculate with this, but I have not seen enough of an argument that proves this speculation. Maybe we'll see a sand blue mini car, but just as maybe that we will not.

As promised, I have uploaded instructions for the updates Mack Marble Trial Truck. You may find them for free at Rebrickable.com. The MOC uses Power Functions, which I understand is a little outdated, but it still works well. Maybe for the next update, and I'll change it to Control+. The truck features: Four wheel drive with fixed differentials Front steering Front and rear live axles Front and rear portal axles Power Functions XL for drive Power Functions M for steering Final drive ratio of 1:2.79, and can be changed to 1:5.01 by changing the portal axles. The underside of the truck. And here is the original, which was one of my first instructions on Rebrickable! I personally like the updated version a little more. -

Thanks again. I think when I was building the prioritized the use of the 4L stop axles to lock the gears in the differential. In retrospect, there may have been a better option. Yeah, the axles don't pop out. Agreed, the open differentials are made for general household driving. It quickly became clear this truck had no place in the trial competition for many reasons (C+ interface, high COG, small tires). -
