LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
I feel like the only person here that collects the CMS for novelty reasons and not how versatile and useful they are. In that respect for the raising of the price, i am slightly dissapointed in this series, cause while others might like the normalness of this series, the lack of novelty characters draws me out. Though on the bright side after spluring on the money for the Simpsons series (yup i love the simpsons and lego movie series of CMS) i wont need to spend much on this series. Honestly i cant for the life of me get into the jester, swashbuckler and lifeguard, which is a pain as my ocd side of me collects in even numbers. i know weird right? Honestly even the worst of series i only find 2 at most figures i just dont want. But this is just a slight dissapointment cause i really like or love the rest (yes i even love the prospector)

My oh-so-controversial thoughts on The Lego Movie
i got to be quite honest, im on the oppisite side of the topic than most of you, the more i see the movie, the more i appreciate and love the ending twist. I always though that the core message wasnt AFOLs are bad or collecting is bad, more of how we must appreciate any kind of creativity from anyone. At the end of the film both the kid and the parent learn to appreciate the things eachother create. Sure one could say the kid shouldnt be playing with his dads sets but then the whole movie wouldnt exist. Honestly the kid going against the rules i see more as something needed to be done to get the dad out his over-obsession to not see his kids builds as total messes. Like with Cloud Cuckoo Land being destroyed, i always interpreted that scene as the kid wanting to display his builds right next to his dad's amazing builds and the dad not appreciating it and tearing it apart to put it in the box we see it in. Also while i do understand that the twist ending does open up plot holes, i also cannot see how the film would work without it. While it is truly fun, its riddled with tons of cliches from its plot to its charecters. Showing that the majority of the story is made up by a kid gives sence to why everything is cliche and why sometimes some actions make no sence. My overall problem with this controversial discussion is that to the average audience its not offensive, really could only be offensive to the most serious AFOLs. Cause ive shown this movie to many non AFOLs and seen many reviews from non AFOLs and none of them got out of the film saying, "wow arnt AFOLs and collectors just horrible people". You know what they normally do say? "wow i want to buy some lego now". This film has widened the appreciation for lego creations in the general audience and in that sence i feel AFOLs would get more respect out of it. Sure there are some tounge and cheek jokes about AFOLs in the film but they dont seem like serious attacks at all to me. Once in a while we do need a good laugh at ourselves, so chill out and aprecciate the movie for what it is

You know you are a fan of Lego when...
You know you are a fan of Lego when. . . . . you look at pictures of a new lego set for hours to see how many new pieces there are . . you go to garage sales specifically just to find any type of Lego on sale. . . you feel CM packets even though you got all the ones you wanted just to test out your skill . . you stop through your build to admire a new Lego piece. . . you complain about how expensive a set is but still find yourself buying it.

Lego are small!
I was the same when i first got into lego. My first set looked big on the box but for a newbie seemed really small for the price. But you get used to it. Also gives a nice surprise if a set is bigger than it seems. my collection is pretty big and i am running out of space. So if sets are small thats good to me as i wont need to make too much space for it. When a set is bigger than expected i just think "this is great but where am i gonna put it?

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
The minifigures were probably the saving grace of that set. The pieces were okay. There was only one in the whole store.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Personally i think 7931 T-6 Jedi Shuttle is the worst of sets i own. The wings look okay frm one side but look awful the other side and it clearly shows when the wings are sideways. Also the wings arnt even in the center of the ship which looks odd. The cockpit could barely fit two of the four minifigures you get and has a lot of tan pieces. i dont know why but i hate it when lego throws in tan pieces into many star wars sets. It doesnt bother me in sets like desert skiff or jabba's palace but rather when they put them in every other ship. They just look so out of place especially when there not covered up. I got this set on sale for $15 and was still dissapointed by it.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Funny that the evil robot does the exact opposite of S1 robot . Also cool how the alien queen is supposed to be a villian for the intergalactic girl from S6. These bios get better and better every series. I really like how most are connected to other minifigures and themes.
