  1. Very good! I like the lifeboat - this is something which I have also sometimes tried to include. Your solution looks good!
  2. And now I am able to add the famous "Norwegian Blue" Its a must-have for every captain! @Matthias130182: The lettered bricks are still available. You can get them as part of something called "business card holder".
  3. Hi Sebeus, I would be much interested in your tutorial! (Once you have decided to create and post it) How many ships have you built so far? How many of them do still exist?

A truly great collection of ships. I must admit, I also like the HMS Sawfish best. And "yes", you could have used tiles instead of curved slopes, but I appreciate that you gave us the chance to see what comes out of the slope-based approach. I think it's unique. (However, this will be difficult to carry into my designs as I only have very few curved slopes. Practically none... Max one or two .... In the wrong colour .... )

Beautiful! Makes me envious! Will be hard to catch up on this. Amazing how you did the bow. I haven't quite figured out what kind of bricks you have used. Any clues?

Hi Kabel, I like your models. However, my "work in progress" looks promising. I will start a new post soon. The second picture did not really work out ... And I live in Cologne ... might be easier to share photos...

Captain Greenhair's Tutorial has been helpful. I am currently working on a new ship. ... and I will be applying most of Captain Greenhair's techniques. However, I have made it more complicated for me as my model will be smaller and as I am extending the sides twice, once half a stud, using a jumper, and once one stud. Let's see how this will all work out in the end.
  8. @Bring more popcorn: Bard is on the right side of the building. However, we'll have to wait for the third film until we know how Bard is going to deal with Smaug!
  9. "shards" - yes, that's the word in English. Thanks for the kind feedback!
  10. Good stuff! I like the way you've created the water. - And the storyline attached to it.
  11. Great stuff - highly enjoyable! Is there also a picture available showing how this scene looks like 30 secs later?
  12. Looks good! Where did you get those halberds?
  13. Beautiful, just beautiful!
  14. Well spotted - it's from brickforge. Everything else is standard lego.
  15. Hello, besides the Narsil-thing posted a short while ago we have also been working on our own version of the Lord Mayor's house in Lake Town: We were quite happy with the result (but of course, we have seen more masterful exhibits on the net). A quick glimpse into the inside: Pity, the bookshelf on the left has not been captured well.... ok, next time. Bye.
  16. Hello everyone, my younger son has come up with a nice idea that we completed together: Narsil in Rivendell: It might not be totally clear, but the guy standing behind the remains of the sword is meant to be an elven statue. That's it for now. Have a wonderful 2014!
  17. ... now I am running out of white bricks for my other MOCs .... Thanks for all the nice comments!
  18. Thank you, Dr Spock!
  19. Keep going!
  20. Terrific! Great approach to rigging (I never thought of that)
  21. Brickshelf seems to be down ... I usually link to my pictures there. Question for the experts: What is the best way to include pictures into a post here? Using Brickshelf? Flickr? Something else?
  22. Well defended! I like the shipwreck!
